I just realise how perfectly fitting sending them an arum is. After doing a bit of research (I had never actually read glasslands), it seems that an elite named Avu Med Telcam managed to use an Arum to send someone… This seemse perfectly fitting given the OPs name.

I just realised, we could put the written letter inside the arum. If it is indeed fully capable of working, this could work quite well. Taped onto the outside, we could have a message as well. “Opener of the Arum, reveal to all what lies inside. Give them our message so our voices may be heard. PS: Dont hurt the Arum”

With that, on the inside we have the written letter, and the signature shee along with a printed screenshot. Putting these inside the arum would have a massive effect, as they would have to put the time and effort into opening it. This would have a great effect, as they would likely remember it for long after that.

… Uhh, not really. The elites are no longer part of the covenant, therfore we cannot be covenant loyalists.

I really want to see Elites in halo 4 no matter the size. With lots of customization as well. I think maybe it could be a tactical decision if elites had advantages and disadvantages. Why aren’t we complaining about the spartans being to small a target :P. But yeah really want to play as an elite all the time in every game mode with full customization. I want to feel like its my Elite not the same one as everybody else’s. cmon 343.

I agree, as someone who is part of the spartan fanbase getting rid of the elites just wouldn’t be Halo. Halo is fueld by how unique and fun it is compared to other games and the elites are a big part of that fun and I for one would hate to see them go.

Elite slayer where everyone is a Sanghelli and pure, covenant weaponry is the bane of Halo multiplayer. I’m fine with Elites in matchmaking if they have similar hitboxes as spartans.

This is such an awesome idea… and I think they will just give us elites once they see how much die-hard fans like us want them!

Elites have been a choice since Halo 2. and you’d be limiting customization options that Halo’s good at if they made it where you could only be a Spartan

Elites are highly hated in Halo 3 and highly ignored in Reach. 3 makes sense for SWAT or headshots (Bungie’s fault; Halo 2 wasn’t like that). Reach, they are segregated. i think Bungie’s speciest against Elites honestly. while for Invasion, it made sense to change the Elites but to change them completely so they’d be utimately ignored? and being lazy on their customization also?

Elites are an overall interesting species. they’re my favorite out of every species in Halo. I play Spartans more because it feels cooler to be a Spartan and feel like tank, but also because my ultimate favorite looking Elite of all time, the Honor Guard, is still not an option choice. not even in Reach, where I had hope for it!( and no, Unicorn General doesn’t count)

on Machinima’s part: 343i said they care about the Machinima community (can’t blame them at all), and 90% of all Machinimas have Elites in it. they’d be hipicrits if they didn’t bring Elites back as a multiplayer choice

Elites in Multiplayer are just as important as having the BR. they should never be gotten rid of! Ever! Elites have a special place in our multiplayer hearts. please have them in Mulitplayer 343i. Please. And make them like 2’s. where no one complained about them and they were as balanced as a Spartan.

ALSO: since Halo 4’s multiplayer has a storyline now and assuming its to make the Spartan IV’s the best by fighting other Spartan IV’s in simulations, wouldn’t it make sense if the Elites think that could help their species as well? you’re telling me one of the best warriors in the galaxy don’t want to become better?

Im not typically an elite player, but I did play as an elite (I think I used commando, mostly) part of the time in Halo 3, and I do enjoy some of the Elite game modes in Reach (like invasion). As such, i gladly sign this ridiculously long petition.

I would also like to see better customization options for elites, since In Reach they did kind of get cheated in that sense. Kind of makes sense canonically though since in Reach’s time elites had less freedom to choose their armor…

It couldn’t be too hard for them to add in Elites to multiplayer if they are in the game in the first place. most of the required assets would already be created if they wanted to take a more basic route like Reach did.

Exactly. If the elites are already in the game somwhere in the campaign, it would be easy(ish) to put them into multiplayer.

God Bless it… this Elite craze is super cute… and I’m sorry if that sounds condescending, it can’t be helped.

But yes, I gave you a thank and I will post here to support you as well. I’m what you would call a “Spartan Fanboy” as my favorite character (a tie with the Master Chief) is Spartan-051 Kurt from Ghosts of Onyx.

Halo has included Elites since its inception. Thats CE, H2, H3, H3:ODST, Halo:Wars, Halo Reach, and ALL of the media out there including Novels, Anime, Comics etc. 343i would be crazy to not include the Sangheili in MM. We, I, can’t be sure how large Spartan IVs will be compared to Spartan III’s so I’m sure the Elites could be squeezed in there whether by scaling down or some other mechanic it seems very possible.

AND given that I love Invasion, which is currently SvE, Elites HAVE to return so that I can kill or be killed as a split jaw or Warrior Zealot respectively.

I personally play as a Spartan, but I want to see Elites return in matchmaking. It was interesting seeing the unique fellow playing as an Elite every once in a while.

Avu Med 'Telcam and his Servants of Abiding Truth follow Pre-Covenant Sangheili religion. They revere the Forerunners as gods, like the Covenant, but they do not believe in tampering with Forerunner devices. They belive the relics are Holy and should be left unstained by mortal beings. These were the beliefs held by the Sangheili before the Prophets came to Sanghelios. The San Shyuum thought of Forerunner tech as something to open up, pick apart, and see how it works. When the two species collided and saw how their beliefs differed, things got ugly. That is what caused the Sangheili - San Shyuum War which spawned the Covenant.

The Servants have been waiting, almost like a cult within the Covenant. When the prophets were finally ridden from Sangheili culture and their race free once again, they wish to return to the old ways. As Avu so brilliantly said:

"So the Halos are machines of destruction. So you say the gods themselves were killed by them. Your god chose to die for you and that is precisely why you revere him, yes? And why you say he also lives. This so-called proof about the Halos means nothing. Not even to you.
A god who creates tools is still a god. It is not for us to impose qualifications upon the divine or presume to guess its intentions."

All in all, I hope 'Telcam succeeds. Not only would it leave the Sangheili from meddling with any Forerunner tech that would harm the entire galaxy, but he would also keep the elites prepared. 'Vadam is too open to the human-sangheili alliance. The humans are preparing to slit the elite’s throats. Vadam would not only leave Sanghelios defenseless, but he would welcome the human conquerors without even knowing it would be too late. 'Telcam seems more keen. Although he is currently working with ONI, he showed them little to no respect. I believe he is using the ‘enemy of my enemy is my friend’ concept. Once Vadam is disposed of I believe ‘Telcam will waste no time preparing Sanghelios’ defenses. He knows how unstable every species is, and he rightfully does not trust them.
