I was the only elite an I won 4 games in a row, on the 4th one I even got a perfection. With the city one they all banded together and suddenly it was everyone is a target, to the elite is the only target. Lol it was fun just tormenting human players again…

I never heard anyone complaining about the Halo two Elites. What about them? Well, the body proportion anyway.
I’m back from my holiday and now I’m ready to start posting again here! Sorry for, you know, not telling you
Why would anyone ever complain about the Halo 2 Elite models? They’re amazing looking, plus all the nostalgia they bring

Halo 3 had my favorite Elite models, but reach had the coolest. Halo 2 in my opinion was the first step from the halo 1 style to make them less savage.
Might have something to do with it.
hail the immortal thread BRING BACK ELITES IN MM!
Well the H2 models would bring nostalgia idk… they were thinner than the H3 but as someone in previous pages showed they have a small advantage…
I can’t believe I have found the day that I have caught myself ranting on these forums however I feel like an important topic that many other members of the Halo community have addressed an astronomical amount of times to 343i, and yes that is to implement Sangheili back into the Halo Franchise. Having it be that Qin Del Hoyo is making his bias apparent towards a game that is only for competitive, putting in elites would only strengthen the Halo community, population, and money Microsoft and 343i would be reeling in. First off, about rumors that they would have to make the hit boxes bigger for elite game play. I don’t understand how the hit boxes would be an issue considering Halo 3’s playable elites generally had the same hit boxes as the spartan. Despite shooting at them when their back is facing you and or if you’re strongsiding, it really was not different. The next rumor I would like to address is that the size they would actually need to make elites would be so much larger than the Spartans it would not be tolerable. In all honesty, the 10,000 clandoms that still play Reach and obsess over role playing as their “personal warrior” really do not care. I’m ranting about this topic not because I want to be able to role play as a sangheili but because I am simply done of being bored with having to scrap together clandoms to troll and play all the time. Even if 343i released one playable elite armor than made the rest DLC it would not matter. No one on Halo genuinely cares we just want the original feel of Halo back and I feel as if that is a topic Qin Del Hoyo has a problem grasping. He wants to implement mechanics such as nadeable weapons and nostalgic weapons such as the CE pistol and Halo 2 BR so why can’t he add something meaningful into the game? Honestly creating the perfect Halo game is not hard, you just have to listen to the community Qin. I also know that making money is all 343i cares about and that is understandable since they run an organization and literally do this for their jobs. As much as they love to convince themselves that they have swindled the Halo kiddies that still believe 343i really does listen they fail to understand creating the ideal Halo game would bring in more revenue than all the Halo’s combined made until 2040 would make. That is all I have to say and I am sure I will get banned from the forums or whatever the administrators do on this website now these days. Get this out to 343i so when they make the next disappointment in the series we can at least know they have acknowledged their flaws. Bungie had it right only because they listened to what their community wanted, gained the massive support, and then let the community give them money being oblivious to how sucked in they really were. Community, features, then money. Follow those in that order 343i and you could be a respectable company.

> So it seems that Sangheili will indeed not be playable in Halo 4 Matchmaking due to a ‘canonical matchmaking experience’. I will refrain from stating my opinion on the idea of attempting to make Matchmaking canonical, but the opportunity to have Elites playable is still not forever erased. There is no doubt that this thread has been noticed by at least a few 343 Industries employees. It is the top thread in the Halo 4 Forum, and was mentioned in one of the Q&A Updates. Unfortunately, we have lost the first battle. Elites will not be playable in Multiplayer on the original Halo 4 shipping disc. However there is still time for 343 Industries to listen to their fans.
>
> It may be possible to include elite player models in future Downloadable Content, depending on the layout of the Halo 4 engine. If this is not possible, do not lose faith. If 343 Industries wants to be known as one of the few developers that listens to their fans, they will most certainly incorporate elites as playable characters in Halo 5 & 6. With this being the most popular thread on this forum and holding that title, it seems to be one favor that the fans are wishing to see fulfilled. I comprehend that 343 Industries wanted to make this “their Halo” and not “Bungie’s Halo”, and I respect that philosophy, but this does not mean that all core elements should be pushed to the wayside. This is one core element of Halo Matchmaking that should never be pushed to the wayside.

> This is a quote from Jamie Griesemer regarding the criticism that the Arbiter’s missions in Halo 2 received. So 343 Industries wisely took the information from the fans about this and created the “Spartan Identity” for Halo 4. Unfortunately the Sangheili population has grown much larger since Halo 2. My identity in Halo, and many others, is an elite. It is not going to be a pleasant experience having to change my identity for Halo 4, but if we stick it out, we may be rewarded.

>
> It is no doubt the Elite community within Halo is small, but having been involved with it for 6 and half years now, I am astounded at it’s growth. As more Halo media like The Return, Halo: Cole Protocol, and Halo: Glasslands makes it’s way to the gamer, the more compelled the gamer is to prefer playing as an Elite over a Spartan. Especially when the media makes reference to things found on a game level, such as Thel 'Vadam or the Revenant. Although that sounds like a very basic and broad way to explain this, after speaking with the populous of newly converted “Elite players”, this is the general reason I get for this exponential growth. To make this point, I ask you to look around, and in nearly every thread you will see at least one or two users with Elite or Covenant avatars.
>
> 343i, I would like you to recognize that we are here collectively, and we deserve the respect and catered opinions just as much as the Spartan fanbase. Although extreme, I know players who actually will not buy Halo 4 if they are not available in Matchmaking, and I cannot say I blame them. What would Halo be without Covenant Weapons/Vehicles as well? Energy Swords, Needlers, and Wraiths are all iconic symbols of what makes Halo, Halo.
>
> The limitations of playing as an Elite in Halo Reach are indeed disheartening. Going back to the Halo 3 method of playing as an elite during regular Matchmaking can be the solution. Not only does that add to the customization, but it can also be explained canonically. I understand that 343i is in the process of delivering a canonical explanation for the Red and Blue Spartans fighting each other. The relationship between Humans and Sangheili can be used to add Elites into this mix. Since the UNSC and the Sangheili are allied, having them use human weapons is anything but non-canon. Or if you would like to take the reverse side of the coin, ONI is supplying the Servants of Abiding Truth with weaponry, which is human as well. This can easily be weaved into the plot without creating a mess.
>
> I understand the game is very far into the development stage, I do not know for sure, but judging by the newest ViDoc, I believe it isn’t too late to give the Elite fanbase a voice. We’re here, we shouldn’t be neglected, and if we are, I can assure you that 343i will lose a great deal of supporters.

Preach.
To those who say that elites can’t have spartan abilities.
(still have yet to be given a valid…or any reason at all why).
What if elites had rocket boots? That would solve the issue of elites using ground pound and stabilizers, just let them use evade without the roll and use a kick as a charge and there you have it! Elite abilities!
And since the boots aren’t all fancy like the built in thrusters, just boots with purple rockets, it would be more
“elite-ish”.
…that or give them the same abilities as Spartans but obviously people can’t comprehend that!

People more then likely don’t like the thought of the inconsistencies that giving elites “spartan abilities” would cause.
But honestly any of us Elite fans that are left really don’t give two flyin fuddoodles about it.
Just make up some random lore explanation.
“Ever since the alliance of the UNSC and the Swords Of Sangheilos, there has been significant technological advancements on both factions, due to cooperative testing and the studying if each others equipment, the collaboration has produced the Mark VII Impulse Drive boots. Designed along with the Spartan thruster pack the Impulse Drive boots are designed for Sangheili infantry. The Arbiter Thel 'Vadam showed great interest in augmenting his troops movement capabilities. So far the boots are only being used in joint training/military operations although the boots are being massed produced now for the future.”
How’s that sound?

But let’s be honest is 343 gonna do that? No it’s to late since halom5 is nearing its end as HW2 approaches.

Too true. Adding the Elites helped give the games more variety instead of playing just Spartans, they could have added new playable factions too like a playable Forerunner/Brutes factions, etc…
