You know whats interesting, I was playing the battle of Sunaion in halo 5 and the arbiter was standing pretty low, like to the height of a spartan 4… Seriously playable elites could be a thing. We could just play as a SoS elite using the arbiter model with different armor.

Ok let’s get back on track before this gets locked
I agree we need more species to play as. Although we could have two more with addition of the Elites and Spartan IV’s. Perhaps the Promethean soldiers and Brutes? If you recall when Cortana was mentioning the other races that formed the Covenant and we might have to deal with the San Shyum and Yae 'me in addition to the Brutes.
My number one hope is that 343 does not ignore this thread any longer. I have a simple wish list for Halo 6 and I want, like many others playable elites, or a UNSC flying vehicle. Because having both in the same game would be asking to much -_-
When it comes to Halo I have moved back to playing Reach due to the attraction of playable elites, and the always fun falcon. I just wish 343 would perk up and listen so we could have another Halo that we’d want to play day in, day out and go back to after it’s successors are released.

I went back to playing 3 on the 360 even though it’s dead. There’s only 1000 people that still play it… I don’t think the ffa people liked me. I was the only elite an I won 4 games in a row, on the 4th one I even got a perfection. With the city one they all banded together and suddenly it was everyone is a target, to the elite is the only target. Lol it was fun just tormenting human players again…

Although I have the greatest personal experiences with Halo 3, and I like the look of Halo 3 elites more than any other Halo, I like the elites in Reach the most because of the way Bungie made them unique in order to allow for a change of play style with a change of species. In Reach the entire extent of Spartan vs elite differences are as follows.
ELITES
-Much taller making them easy targets
-Overall less health but health fully regenerates
-Faster recharging energy shield
-Faster
SPARTANS
-Smaller, easier to hide and or take cover and head is much smaller
-More base health although lacking regeneration properties
-Weapon classes overall better suited for anti vehicle usage
I think the way Reach did elites was best, and nothing ever felt unfair to me, but as I said the Halo 3 elites look coolest.

The H3 models were the most balanced while, the reach game modes for them were the most balanced as well. If we get a mix of the two then it would be perfect.
