> They do come out looking to be lazy due to the fact that they release things that should’ve been put in much earlier, later after it’s initial release. They speed it up but do half-butt work on certain key things (story, features, and game types ) while concentrating on things people care less about, competitiveness being such an example…but is still somewhat important in the long run. They forgot what makes Halo, Halo by cutting out the important stuff.

> So yeah, I CAN say the whole company is lazy due to how much they cut out and save for later… I guess I could say they procrastinate, but that’s a characteristic of being lazy. I would rather wait 4 years before a Halo game comes out, rather than 1-2 years, so a high quality, triple A worthy Game is released…with no micro purchasing of any kind. And no…the release dates are not out of their control.
In a way everything makes sense what 343 has with the game though. Competitive multiplayer and eSports stuff is ideally good for getting the game out there(not that Halo needs it) and keeping interest in the game that otherwise wouldn’t be there. And with the story at least they have tried to do something different instead of playing it safe with a more generic Halo story. Split-screen of course brings a substantial hit to performance and local play is sort of being killed by the Xbox One anyway, so they just didn’t bother. Same with the Elites. Sure, it would have been nice to add them in playable again, but that would require a whole lot of extra work to appease a minority of players. The ads obviously wasn’t done the best but that’s on the marketing side of things, and it’s very possible the story went through substantial changes after the initial teaser. Even leaving out important playlists and gametypes is explained by them just trying to keep people coming back with “content updates”. Microtransactions are a common feature in games, and it’s another opportunity to make money so why wouldn’t they? They can’t just develop the game for eternity until it reaches perfection, so somebody somewhere, likely unrelated to the development side of things, decides they need to launch before the holidays of 2015. Deadlines are important and if Microsoft wants them to have Halo game done by a certain point, they have to work with it
So as much as I disagree with their choices; no they are not lazy. They are working very hard to meet the company’s goals and choices, even if those choices weren’t the best idea in the first place. They are making money regardlesss, so there’s that.

Well playable Elites may have been intended for that update and got pushed into the Warzone: Firefight update. It’s a big IF I know, but it doesn’t hurt to hope. Plus it is nice to see someone with 343 support us, even if it’s only a monitor (no offense by saying that of course)

If you mean Halo 3, then well, it was something to get used to. Their heads are relatively the same size and position so it wasn’t that big of a deal. Then Reach straight up made them impossible to miss. Haha
