Well, I guess we’re doing a Sangheili meet up in Washington USA! (I think that’s were they are now?)
How is this still relevant? This is 2016, This post is 2012

If it’s been pushed up to Popular Topics again, it would seem to still be very relevant. Especially since many people are still yearning for it, so many years later, emphasizes it still being incredibly relevant.
So did the Memories of Reach bring back anything or no?

only armor
What they could do is take the elite character designs for matchmaking from MCC and incorporate it into H5? But then will it clash with the req pack unlockables in terms of armour sets?
Elite comstumes in matchmaking please!
I was wondering why he was saying halo 4 then i checked the date lol

A bit late to implement it now easily, but its a possibility
I really don’t get why people care so much about Elites. They’re alright, and fun to fight, but there’s A) no canonical reason why they should be able to stand up to a Spartan (just look at the ‘Monsters’ cinematic in Halo Wars) and B) they’re just nowhere near as cool. The second part may be subjective, though xD

To be fair though, multiplayer really shouldn’t be canonical. I say if people want to play as them, let them.

since the memories of reach update is here it would make sense to be able to play as a sangheili, because there was a game mode where it was 4v4 spartans and elites, they should revive that

Multiplayer and Canon should be separate, and believe me, trained Sangheili from the days of the Covenant before its fall, would give any of these Spartans a run for their money.

Gameplay cannot be considered canon as many elements of the universe have to be toned down for the sake of game balance, like the power of plasma weaponry being drastically reduced in-game, or Spartan energy shielding being superior to Sangheili shielding in almost every way. Lorewise, Spartans are only dead-even with Sangheili in physical performance with a few exceptions, and that’s solely because of their augmentations and armor. I do remember towards the beginning of Halo First Strike, Chief gets into a melee battle with a Commando Sangheili, and struggles a good deal in the fight. I believe it mentions something about the Sangheili having a double layer of muscles in their arms or something? Don’t quote me on that, but Chief just barely beats the thing, and only after it took upwards of 30 rounds of 7.62mm in it’s spinal column, and Chief’s suit taking enough damage to warrant emergency repairs. It’s also recently been acknowledged that as part of the ANVIL-Initiative, joint training between Spartan IV’s and the Swords of Sangheilios on board Anvil station.
I’m not saying they need to be added this game, because it’d be kinda hard to do right at this point, but I do think that playable Elites need to return and stay for good with the next installment.
