The thing that really upsets me is the fact that elites, who have argueably been more important to the game as enemies and allies then Spartans have, have been phased out of multiplayer play that was had in halo 2 onward. I mean there has literally not been a single Halo game without elites. Even in Halo 3 ODST as the great schism is going on you can find the bodies of elites. Every game has had them. It’s canonical in Halo 5 as it will be in 6, and it’s something that people want. But it seems that 343 just does not really care about the elites enough to have them in multiplayer. Saddening but hey when Halo 6 comes out maybe they will surprise us.

I agree with that. Was never a huge fan of playing as an Elite but I really dont understand why they have been absent for two games now. I mean if its balance then only make them playable in social modes like Warzone or whatever.

Second, I totally agree, I think that maybe they should first try to balance it, like Halo 3 and Reach did, and make the only difference between them aesthetic. Maybe create the realism between the height differences. They could even out the jumping height so that there’s no disadvantageous or maybe create a speed difference so that at least there’s some balancing between jumping heights and speed, (Spartans run fast, jump average/ Elites jump high, run average) or they could create 3 classes of each, Agile (Fast/Dexterious), Strength(Stronger Melee/Jumping Height), Average (Basic/Halo 5 Stats) to let you choose what you sacrifice, if you choose to be Elite or Spartan, without giving too much of an Advantage to either.
Face it people the elites aren’t coming back to matchmaking. If they did the players playing as elites wouldn’t have Spartan abilities. Therefore the game would be rediculously un balanced(which is a bad thing) and the hit boxes would be different and would also interfere with the balance. Reach had that problem but no one will acknowledge that because the Halo community has put Reach on a pedestal and praises it like its a god. None of the halo games are perfect that includes reach. I’m not trying to be a jerk I’m just not afraid to say what allot of you refuse to understand or believe. And before anyone says I’m a hater I just want to let u know I love Halo with a burning passion. I’ve been playing since 2003 when I was 5 and still play to this day

Your assuming that 343 wouldn’t give elites abilities to balance out the game.
That’s were creativity comes into play 
Honestly though, we will always continue to support this because we want it back in the game, and any and all support from the community will be very appreciated, even if to no avail.

Why would Elites not have the so-called “Spartan abilities”? Things like clamber, sprint and ADS are hardly unique to humanity. It’s not much of a stretch to give then the same thruster abilities either. I mean I can see that Elites aren’t coming back, but it’s not because of gameplay issues. 343 is perfectly capable of adding them in the next game if they dedicate the resources to it but I really doubt they will at this point. Also Reach was widely hated for a long time and still is to a much lesser extent, but the thing is that this over five year old game is still more fun for a significant number of people. Although 343 does get bonus points for the TU gametype stuff they did for Reach, since people seem to forget how much that helped the game.
God the people trying to put us down…
There’s not reason not to talk about it. Elites are a vital part of Halo.
I really think they wont add them simply because A: it doesn’t make everything completely even for eSports obsession and B: It’s one more piece of data that has to be transfered which eSports people hate (ohhhhh the laaag of syncing a customization option it’s killing the gaaaame)
It would be cool to have Elites back into the game. Honestly, I don’t really like to have important gameplay features removed from the new Halos because 343i concentrate more on “graphics.” I mean come on. I’m not here to watch a movie, I’m here to have good gameplay features. It isn’t going to be the end of the world if Microsoft can’t showcase the new consoles “awesome new graphical capabilities.” Stop focusing on trying to make Halo completely realistic and start making better gameplay and stop removing cool gameplay features like playing as Elites.
