Maybe, if 343 put a lot of work into it, you could have an Elite model for standard multi-player (like in Halo 2 and 3), then in other playlists you can play as your 8’6" Elite model which uses all of the Elites abilities to their full potential.

Simple… Just play as the model you wish and leave the other alone.
Mind=BLOWN!

How so?

People want balanced gameplay. Having certain character models better for different situations ruins the neutrality of customization and affects gameplay, which is not something a character model change should do.
The chance that I will buy Halo 4 when the Sangheili race is not freely available in multiplayer is extremely small.
I completely agree with OP. Halo 4 should have the Sangheili as a playable multiplayer race.

If there are no Sangheili in Halo 4, I will end my Halo career with Reach, as a Sangheili, the way it should be.

You’re right, but that’s why I said there could be two models. The Halo 3 7’4" Elite for standard playlists such as team slayer and the original 8’6" model for variety playlists that make you feel like you’re playing in a true campaign scenario with each species maintaining there own traits, instead of being carbon-copies of each other.
That is just unrealistic for 343i to make two separate models of Sangheili. I’d prefer one model, disadvantaged in Matchmaking or not, I want to play as an Elite.
> Ever since halo 2 I remember choosing the elite and setting up my colors to look like a general. And anyone who’s read ghosts of Onyx, the sparten 3’s armor was actualy smaller and had a stealth ability due to the fact that they took a wider range genes and didn’t give them as many injections as the 2’s. Elites should definetly be included without elites, what could EQUAL a sparten. Elites have been the front of the covenent force up until Halo 3 and even then they were still a big part of the campain.
Damn skippy they’re still a big part
I agree what Telcam has to say. No Elites, No Halo, Not me playing for long in Halo 4.
Well it wouldn’t be Halo without them wort wort wort dudes would it?

As do I but it would really make the came for me if they were returned to their former beast-self.
Maybe spartan 4s are as tall as elites now.

This is to the noobs who are complaining about size proportion, maybe spartan 4s are as tall as elites now.

I dont think the word noobs was neccesary…
I often switch off between Spartan and Elite player models. I would be VERY disapointed if 343 did not include Elites as an option in Halo 4.
> > I highly doubt they will be in now since MP is now starting to look canon related. And the Spartan IVs are more powerful than the elites in Mark VII if Mark VI made a Spartan II equal to a major.
>
> You forget, with each new generation of spartans, they generally become weaker, and so has their armor. I think only Noble Team had shielding, while all the other Spartan III’s had some kind of passive cloaking thing. Still since Halo 4 takes place at an unknown date in the future, more advanced technology may have become more readily available, which would help to balance the weakness of the new generation of spartans.
Um, WTF? are we still talking about halo here?
First off you messed up by saying the armor is getting weaker since mark VI is better than Mark V which is stronger than mark IV. So it isn’t a doubt that mark VII is going to be stronger than mark VI.
Second, did you really compare the augmentations and armor of Spartan IIIs to The SIIs? SIIIs generally got SPI armor which is weaker but standard for them Spartan IIs got Mark IV-VII which every suit is better than SPI. Don’t even get me started on you comparing the Augmentations and combat survival rate, which was a massive flaw.
Third, Halo 4 is going to take place in 2556 with cortana turning 7 since that was what was brought up in legends and 343 stating that her rampancy would be an important plot. I don’t understand how “Tech advances” (which is impossible for the elites right now) would make elites strong enough to fight spartan IVs in Mark VII, if that were been true or possibly then a war would have broke out which we know didn’t from the return.
So you haven’t gave one logical reason for how the elites would be able to compete with the Spartan IVs in Mark VII.
> > I highly doubt they will be in now since MP is now starting to look canon related. And the Spartan IVs are more powerful than the elites in Mark VII if Mark VI made a Spartan II equal to a major.

> Then have Elite players be “equivalent” to an Ultra.
Which doesn’t make sense seeing how there would have to be customizable elite armor yet for some reason and elite wearing minor armor is strong as an ultra? The higher ranks are stronger because they have the experienced and survived they just aren’t that strong just cus.
Assuming you guys are actually die hard elite fans then know they lore behind the obsession.
I didn’t catch the top half of Deva’s argument, but Sangheili armor does boost the speed and strength of the elite, as stated in the Encyclopedia.
Elites or not I’m getting Halo 4 but I would like to play as them like I always do.
> I didn’t catch the top half of Deva’s argument, but Sangheili armor does boost the speed and strength of the elite, as stated in the Encyclopedia.
I think that got taken out in the new edition.
Without elites i think halo 4 is going to lose a great deal of its supporters…
Thank all the posts, lets show 343 how much we want Sangheilis! I don’t know for you guys, but seeing ALL the sangheili community working together makes me proud.
