Oh for a second I thought you wanted me out. I was scared. Because I never got into Halo until possibly just before MCC. But I always have enjoyed Elites from the day I got Reach and 3.

I changed my gamertag multiple times, jerk. I’ve played Halo longer than you have probably. I started on CE, before Halo 2 came out. My old gamertag was an orange peal. I even have a screenshot from this one amazing time I got a Killimanjaro for the first time, which was the highest multikill you could get at the time (Halo 2, before Killtastrophe, Killpocalypse, and Killionaire were added). http://i.imgur.com/hQm7htO.jpg

You are a selfish person that cares nothing for what other people want

The way I want Halo to be is where most, if not ALL Halo players are satisfied with everything. No more complaining, no more issues, just everyone sitting down on their chair or couch, playing some Halo rather their friend is next to them on said couch, or online on the other side of the world having fun.
> > >
> > > Lastly, “At least what I’m saying makes sense”. So keeping an entire part of the community in the dark makes sense? I understand keeping the balance in competitive Arena multiplayer as balanced as possible. That’s fine, you can keep Elites out of there, it makes sense, but what doesn’t make sense is fragmenting a part of the community by keeping Elites as non-NPC’s. Warzone, Warzone: Assault, Warzone: Firefight, Invasion (should it hopefully come back in the “Memories of Reach” update), Social Non-ranked Arena playlists and Custom Games are the perfect places to have playable Elites. If not even Social Arena, then everything else listed.
> > >

Screw the community that wants to have an unfair advantage over other players who don’t chose the same character they do. I don’t want to deal with Elites that don’t die from headshots from behind, while I die easily by them. I don’t want to deal with that in social anymore than I want to deal with it in ranked. If everyone has that advantage fine. Elites only PVP, Elites in Warzone, Elites in Campaign, all fine! Just don’t give another player an advantage I can’t have. ranked or not. I could say you’re the one being selfish here, insisting that you have an advantage over other players for no reason. “but what doesn’t make sense is fragmenting a part of the community by keeping Elites as non-NPC’s.” Lol, What? Non-non-playable-characters? Guess I’m not the only one making mistakes today.

Yeah, you said you want Spartans and Elites to verse eachother in PVP. In all past Halo games that had that, it created unfair and unbalanced gameplay. I just proved that. The same thing will happen again if you pit Elites against Spartans, both being actual players. The only way to prevent that would be to have the exact same hit boxes. But considering that the Elites have completely different body structures, that wouldn’t really work. You’d still have the same problem. You took that quote of mine out of context. YES. SCREW THE COMMUNITY THAT WANTS TO HAVE AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE OVER OTHER PLAYERS! Especially just for the sake of their appearance!

You’re the selfish one. You can have your Elites, just don’t bring them into PVP with Spartans. That’s all I’m saying. Ok, lol, I guess you never played Halo 2 or 3 and have no idea how frustrating it was to constantly not be able to kill Elites from behind.

I enjoyed playing as a Blarg in Halo 3 lol

You must have edited it then, because it wasn’t there originally. Check the quote from you that I added to my comment:
"Did anyone read my post? It’s been proven (many times) that they held NO ADVANTAGE. They used the same hitboxes as Spartans (though this was changed in Reach).
Here’s some ancient footage of someone equally annoyed as me for saying this:

What? You meant that it was harder to see their heads from behind and knew this already? If it wasn’t obvious to shoot them in the back of the neck then I don’t think you have much hope playing SWAT in MCC or whatever…
Also, I’m sure somewhere in the lore Elites do actually use the War Games simulation to train. Mainly with other Elites…"
It wasn’t there. But whatevs, you posted it now.

I can’t really tell because of that video’s poor quality, but it looks like they were all frontal shots. There isn’t any major problem with frontal shots on Elites. I’m talking about the advantage they have when they have their backs towards you. Did you watch my videos?
No biggy  Don’t mind having to copy and paste. But if you want to make a link, you just have to highlight the words you want to make a link and then click that chain-link button next to the caution sign.

Yeah, I dunno, I tried it many different ways. I shot the Elite from behind at the same point I shot the Spartan from behind, and then I even tried my best to actually hit the head of the Elite, but still, it acted like I was hitting their back.

Yup, unfortunately we won’t be getting split-screen for Halo 5, but it sounds like 343 got the message, so they are going to make sure it’s in Halo 6.

Haha, yeah, I’m thinking so. Thanks for not completely attacking me like everyone else. You’re a good guy.

Lol, just read the beginning of your post, “jerk”, ignorant is not an insult, neither liar, but I’m well aware that the forum automatically writes “Yoink” instead of a word that begins with “F”, so yes, you have insulted people in this thread.

Lol, how is calling me a liar when I’m not lying, not an insult? Ignorant is also an insult, just as much as calling me stupid is. The forum replaces any “curse” word with -Yoink-. Go find a quote from me with a -Yoink- in it (from this thread). Uh, I never said I haven’t insulted people on this thread. I just insulted you by calling you a jerk. I admit that. You are a jerk for calling me a liar despite not knowing me at all. But you all insulted me many times as well. So are we done with this pointless argument about who insulted who? lol

If there is one thing you and I can actually agree on, it’s for Split-Screen to return in Halo 6

Haha, yeah, I think pretty much the entire Halo community can agree on that one! I don’t blame 343 too much though, I understand they were dealing with an entirely new console and an entirely new engine. I’m sure just dealing with those two things was quite time consuming. But now that they’re done with that, it shouldn’t be as hard for them to add it to Halo 6.

True, can’t blame them for Forge not being at launch either, they tried to make it as good as they could and they succeeded.

Look, I’m willing to let bygones be bygones, let’s just agree to disagree about playable Elites and just move on

Yeah, Forge is great. Really impressed with what people have been able to do with it. That Valhalla remake by no god anywhere was perfect. Almost looks like it was pulled straight out of Halo 3. Eagle Square is one of my favorite BTB maps now. SHIFTY time did an amazing job on it, especially with the fact that it’s an entirely new map.

I agree, nothing left to argue about on that topic. lol

For the record, I just want to say, I’m fine with playable Elites in Halo 5 (or 6). Just don’t mix them with Spartans in any PVP. The only way I would be ok with both Elites and Spartans in PVP is if there was some kind of gametype where one team is forced to be all Elites, while the opposing team is forced to all be Spartans. Then you could trade off with each round, with like 3-5 rounds. Like an Aliens VS Humans Breakout or something. Wasn’t something similar done in Reach? Or maybe it was Halo 4?

So, Arctic seems like a good guy and I see where he is coming from, but bro, you are wasting your time arguing with these guys because they won’t change their opinion nor will I. However, you have stirred up quite a bit of activity for this thread so thanks for that I suppose. I have to say though that I think having Elites limited to game modes such as an invasion-like Spartan vs Elite game mode and customs is very fair because those who feel as strongly about it as you do have complete control to avoid that one particular game mode should it be reintroduced in future titles. I commend you for your bravery to speak your mind in this hostile territory though. XD You have provided good evidence from the MCC that it was more difficult to take Elites down from behind in that player model. Reach did not have that problem though because their head were pushed up. Like I said in an earlier post, there is a fair compromise to be had in this situation. In my opinion, if they do return to multiplayer, it will be done in a way that will work such as the way I just mentioned, so you probably don’t need to worry about it at all. I’m sure 343 would take all aspects of their addition into consideration and make it work if they have the mind to, which they may never. Who knows? Let’s just wait and see. In the meantime, the people that really want this will continue to ask and perhaps it will gain enough popularity that we will see something that works for everyone. It’s very possible!

I don’t blame 343 too much though, I understand they were dealing with an entirely new console and an entirely new engine. I’m sure just just dealing with those two things was quite time consuming. But now that they’re done with that, it shouldn’t be as hard for them to add it to Halo 6.

It was reach and that’s pretty much what everyone has been arguing to you the whole time lol.

That’s pretty much Invasion from Halo: Reach which is my All-Time favorite Halo game mode. I enjoyed it more than even Warzone. If they had playable Elites only for Invasion (and if they bring back Invasion), I’d be 100% satisfied
