If 343i is really doing the lore, this should happen, the Arbiter wants his elites to be trained with spartans to understand and use some tactics they use, the Arbiter requested that his men would train and could tell the UNSC about special tactics that the Storm elites have so the Arbiter could get an upper hand in the civil war. This makes sense.
> I hope it’s gonna fail, I know a game where in beta the custom colors were available, yep no longer the case now, it’s skins instead and I don’t find that better, lack team deathmatch too, double fail… 343 is doing the same kind of mistake (Elites & Invasion who is a very good gametype) .Oh wait, this is happened with Firefight too.eSport, eSport… just put Elites in that’s all, as I said, that don’t change enough… (think Invasion).
I really hope you mean the esports thing 343i is doing, I don’t want Halo 5 itself to fail, because this is my last chance with them, if they fail me, and my friends, not picking up Halo 6 (unless someone tells me it is a lot better compared to Halo 5).
EDIT: For Promethean Soldiers (this would be kinda dumb but…), the librarian gifts the UNSC with some Soldier constructs, or the UNSC could reverse engineer the Soldiers and put AI in them.
eSport yeah… I hate that side in video games, we don’t have something because of that.
Exactly like MLG, God knows I hate those guys who are angry against everything that is not MLG, it’s sad because I heard all MLG players aren’t like this (make sense) .
Since we want Elites and I have the feeling 343 will continue with Spartan Abilities (whatever 343 said, it’s like armor abilities for me, we just have them already) , Elite abilities are a good idea and if that idea follow the Reach Elites, don’t need to match the Spartan ones, my favourite thing since Reach is when Elites just raise their hands and roar, it’s funny, sometimes I load a firefight game just for this, using an hologram get the job done everytime (and if you set the damage for A.I. to 0% , they attack the hologram until he disappears lol) .
Create a Halo game like ODST were you play as Usze 'Taham or N’tho 'Sraom or a new Sangheili character, that way all us Sangheili fan boys can savor that campaign and multiplayer until (or if) Sangheili ever get back into the mainstream multiplayer games.
Whether we are slaughtering UNSC forces during the war or driving the Jiralhanae to extinction I would bet most of us would be satisfied and we will give some love to 343i.

“Covenant Ops” anyone ? If those maps were used for a Covenant mini-campaign I’m sure no one would be against this.
A thread about a Sangheili spin off game was already established. Anyway though, if we will not be recognized in Halo 5, at least give us a game where we will be, 343. I’m not getting an Xbox One until you do.

Not really 100% Elite by the way but Covenant even if the Halo 2’s Quarantine zone is cool (the mission is Elite-only and you have Reclaimer playing in the big room at the beginning ) .

That’d be heaven. The A.I. elites in campaign possessed superior melee combat abilities, placing that in a multiplayer context would make many Sangheili fans very happy indeed.
I just realized something referring to Canon multiplayer with Spartans only: Shouldn’t Elites be playable since the Spartan IVs need to train for Sangheili altercation situations? Spartan IVs won’t be killing other Spartans, they’ll be shooting Elites, thus it would make sense to train against them. BOOM!!! Playable Elites in Halo 5 explained. Thoughts?
Here is a wonderful post written by Emi~Didact on Halo archive:
**"**Remember the glory days of Halo 2 where you could play the campaign from the Thel ‘Vadam’s perspective? Aya, we all enjoyed that, if you’re open to other species. In Halo 3 it was only available to you via multiplayer.
I can’t help but notice that 343i’s intention is to make Halo all about humanity whereas when Bungie was large and in charge, there was a little more species equality.
Now if you’re a Spartan fan, that’s fine, I will respect you. We all have our own tastes here.
Come Reach, there was a sign that Elites would be gone from existence in Halo’s multiplayer; that sign was that Elites were only playable to limited game modes and eventually come Halo 4, they are gone completely. For years since that very day, a large portion of fans in the community have the desire to play as their favourite split-jaws again.
As you can see, when we look back, the availability to play as the Sangheili decreases until eliminated. When The Master Chief Collection was released last year, fans got a chance to have full access to play as Elites again, in whatever multiplayer mode, except for Halo 4. That brought happiness to those who have made Sangheili clans and those who just prefer aliens over humanity. We had hoped it would return once again for a new Halo game but sadly the company doesn’t want to give that to us.
From the company’s perspective, they have a lot of ground to cover trying to make a release date in time. That is understandable, but for the fans, it’s not because if you’ve been waiting for years to have it back; it can be really disheartening when someone from the company says that there are no plans for Elites to return.
Basically, playable Elites have been a long time part of the Halo franchise, so eliminating it is taking away a big part of the community that grew up playing as them with their friends or in a public match. Taking it away can decrease the demand for the game from the Covenant fans.
Could they be in a DLC? Sure, I don’t see why not, that’s better than nothing, and it would be great to be able to choose what kind of Elite model from what game that you want be.
There’s also been a lot of beef over the fact that Halo 5 Guardians’ campaign will take you to Sanghelios. For hardcore Sangheili fans, it doesn’t really feel like the true experience if you are stepping onto the planet in the boots of a Spartan. That brings me to the case that Elites have lesser roles in the lore of the games now. In Halo 4 they were nothing but animals seen as objects to kill by Spartans and fans, except for Jul ‘Mdama and Gek ‘Lhar, who were the only Elites relevant to the post war story. We never get to explore their story anymore in the games.
Finally, one more point about why Elites need to return to Halo’s multiplayer is that Halo was once known for giving humans and Elites equal time in the spotlight. But just like the decreased availability in multiplayer, the same thing happened in the campaign. Halo has become now all about humanity if you look at it just through the games. It’s understandable if not everyone desires dig deeper by reading articles and books. So for those who haven’t read any of the books yet on the aliens of the Haloverse, you’d probably be disappointed right now.
Regardless, Elites were and still are a special part of the Haloverse. But personally, without them, the company loses the trust from the Sangheili fans, the Elites get no story time, and no equality. Sometimes you develop a close connection to the Elites when you start playing as them. It’s fun to play as something that isn’t human for a change in Halo’s multiplayer or campaign, so why can’t it be implemented once more?"

True story, I noticed that too but isn’t a part of the ONI giving weapons to the Elites against the Arbiter (come on he is the Arbiter for a lot of people lol) ?
What happen if the Elites learn that ?

Then we get a Halo about fighting ONI from the Sangheili point of view. Awesomeness.

My idea was that Mr Vadam would convince the UNSC to have his elites train with Spartan and teach them about wielding swords, some tactics that the storm used, even share technology like the thrusters, weapons, etc.
You know, I wish 343i would acknowledge this thread, and interact with us, instead they just pretend we don’t exist, they hardly mention anything about elites being playable or not until a month before the game comes out. All they give us is “yeah uh we didn’t bring them back because, well uh, lack of resources i guess…”
I hate you 343. I’ll buy halo 5 for campaign, then probably sell it afterwards to gamestop. No interest in mulitplayer at all, not everyone likes being a spartan, especially with the fact 343i completely dumbed down character customization, because all the fans said “hey 343i, we have a new idea for next gen gaming, let’s completely ruin character customization!”
The UNSC don’t need the help of Elites for technology, think Infinity.
I guess during the war the humanity used and gathered Covenant weapons and vehicles.
Now the humanity use nice toys like the Infinity and got the upper hand… and the ONI start being greedy, I hate those guys who want everyone under control.

… whoa. I feel your anger brother. Playable Elites are really the deciding factor on my purchase of Halo 5 and the Xbox One. Although, I don’t hate 343, just what they’re doing.

Yes. Give them a few armor sets like how spartans have.
