Sadly 343i said they have no plans for bringing Elites back after being asked this.

Halo 5’s release date is slated for October 27 2015,Halo 4’s was November 6 2012.So,time to continue the struggle for another 3 years or so.A long path it shall be,with great potential for disappointment indeed.

Basically we’ll be repeating history for the third time when it comes to halo 6, we beg and beg for elites be playable, they give us so many false hints they’ll return, and when release comes they drop the “we don’t care about you elite fans.” I don’t see why 343 refuses to allow elites, it’s ridiculous that they have some grudge against them or something.

I didn’t really care much for Invasion, or any part of Reach. Forced species was not fun at all for me, nor was the segregation that existed in Reach. I see all these Sangheili advocates saying that Reach got it right, but I remember Reach being the low point for our community before they were excluded entirely in Halo 4.
Sangheili in Warzone would be ideal. I’m a competitive player but I enjoy the variety and diversity Warzone offers, so if they were to reintroduce Sangheili player models I wouldn’t mind if they were relegated to Warzone/Forge/Customs game types, and excluded from Arena. This way, the competitive crowd (the most vocal in their distaste for Elites in matchmaking) would be satisfied with their own portion of multiplayer set aside for them, while the rest of us have the other fun modes to enjoy the way we want.
H2A is the shining example of what Sangheili in multiplayer should be. A larger target, sure, but they are canon size. They should be equal in every way but in size and shape. It’s the price to pay for us playing as Elites, and I am fine with it. Available in all modes (but Arena and MLG playlists of course), and also customizable.
Does anyone know if H2A is running on a modified Halo 4 engine or Guardians’ engine?
The only problem I can see with Elites being in Halo 5 is the issue with Spartan Abilities. Elites don’t have thrusters, do they?

> The only problem I can see with Elites being in Halo 5 is the issue with Spartan Abilities. Elites don’t have thrusters, do they?
Canonically speaking, if a Sangheili engineer can build a set of MJOLNIR GEN. II to be used by Spartans, the engineers could likely place them on their own armor.
In addition, on Sangheili exoatmospheric combat harnesses there are thrusters meant for use in zero-g conditions, but they fit just fine on their armor and look great too. They could be modified to be effective in ground battles.
In Sangheili society, technology is respected and has many applications, but when it comes to their athletic ability they usually prefer to rely mainly on their natural bodies. The Swords of Sanghelios, being a progressive Sangheili society that respects and maintains tradition, could perhaps be more willing to use thrusters as Humanity’s Spartans do.
But, we’ve already discussed it here I think that point has been resolved. What would help a lot to congeal our efforts here and align our aims and goals would be edits to the OP, so this can become a hub for all those who want Sangheili back in matchmaking. Our community truly needs organization right now, otherwise I think we are running in circles.
EDIT: I think a new thread would be more beneficial. This thread started out as a place to show support, and it is clear there’s massive support for it and a lot of passionate people willing to discuss it. But I think there should be another place reserved for discussion another that may catch 343i’s attention.

What would also help is if this post was Stickey’d to the top. This post has over 10,800 comments and still trending, I’m surprised it isn’t already.

If they did return, they’d probably use short-distance Evade as a substitute for Thruster Pack.

I’m pretty sure H2: A is running on a pimped Halo 2 engine.

The mods won’t sticky a post that is meant to further one agenda, which this thread clearly does.

The Monitors are supposed to sticky popular topics, but you’re probably right on the fact they won’t consider this post most likely because it’s a hotly debated topic and, like you said, contradictory to their agenda.

What I meant is that this thread was made to further the agenda of the Sangheili community, and these kinds of threads don’t get stickied. We can’t be sure what 343i wants to do going forward, and I wouldn’t suggest that they dislike or even ignore any portion of their fanbase, including us Sangheili. Consider, Halo: Online, Hunters in the Dark, going to Sanghelios, Shadow of Intent… Sangheili fans have received a lot of gifts recently. A mod has already come in here to tell us that it won’t be stickied for the aforementioned reason.
Exactly the reasons to say 343 is corrupted. Like in Halo 3 campaign 343 has wen’t nuts.

Those aren’t the most useful gifts since the “Sangheili community” still can’t exist on Halo 5. If anything it’s easing the pain. Ha
The thread doesn’t really need a sticky if it’s always near the top anyway, so no big deal there. I wouldn’t expect 343 to sticky a thread that’s main topic is disapproval of their new games.

And there’s Azrael who I think I saw on Reach a bit ago… Anyway, I’m not even sure what the last part is saying.

We’re pretty vocal.
Always on Reach because the Sangheili are playable and the multiplayer isn’t broken like the newer Halos. My reference was in Halo 3 343 goes crazy and try’s to kill 117. Just me saying 343 the company is broken Kusa lol.
As long as Halo 5 doesn’t try to murder me…

I doubt it would try. Unless a ninja used your game disc as a shuriken.
Not sure if anyone has posted anything like this before but i’ll ask. Provided that we get elites as dlc and we get some thing that works for most everyone as to how they are handled in MP. The consensus is that there be a campaign added. My question to you my fellow waypointers, what would you like it to take place and where?
I’ll post my thoughts later as I write it up.

This is a serious concern now.

At this point I wouldn’t be too picky as long as it was actually happening. Ideally I would like something pre-schism, since this whole barely-functioning ragtag fleet idea isn’t quite as impressive or entertaining to be part of. They would likely keep it around the same time frame as Halo 5 of course, but they could go quite a few ways with this.
