It would be really cool to have a small part of the campaign playing as a Sangheili special forces team! I highly doubt that though to be honest because it is all about Lockes team and Chiefs team. I would say that we will probably have Elites fighting along side us similar to halo 3 and also have cut scenes with Usze and N’tho in them. I really liked them in “Hunters In The Dark”. It will be really cool to see them come to life like this!
As for having them in multiplayer I agree that it would be a lot of fun to hear Elite banter during matchmaking! XD

I also agree with that. I would prefer them to have a unique set of skills to make up for lack of “Spartan abilities”.
Elite abilities possibilities
Clamber
Active Camouflage
Roll
Elite Kick
Death sprint

I’ve seen suggestions like this before. They’re good ideas though. I hope you won’t mind me building upon them.
Active Camo- Similar to the camo feature used by the Arbiter in Halo 2.
Roll (Evade)- Essentially a toned down version of the Evade roll in Reach. (Mirrors the Spartan thruster pack)
Elite Kick (kick bashing)- The Sangheili version of the Spartan shoulder charge.
Death Sprint- I don’t have a good idea of what this is. Perhaps you could explain it further?
Seems to me like these would be a great fit if 343 decided to use the Reach method for playable Elites. It’d really go a long way to give diversity to playable Elites. However if they were implemented in this way, I would still love to see a Legendary Slayer playlist where both Spartan and Elite abilities were deactivated. This way, an arena multiplayer environment could be created with both species on equal footing, similar in fashion to H2/3’s multiplayer.

I like this idea. I wonder if 343 is considering the idea for perhaps elites in DLC.

They are cool concepts, I would love to be surprised with a full Sangheili game over DLC for Halo 5 though.

The Death sprint is a mirror to the thruster pack. Elites get outraged like when you take off their shields, and sprint at maybe a 5-10% faster speed.

Ah I see! When I saw Death sprint I was thinking you meant an offensive ability like the shoulder bash, but that didn’t make sense because you already mentioned the kick. Now I see you mean it as a defensive ability. That is a very interesting idea for sure! I would love to see something like that implemented should Elites make there way in. It seems that everyone here is not a fan of the roll evade from Reach, so instead I suppose it could be something of a strafe that moves the Elite about as far as the Spartans thrusters. Obviously they could not do this in mid air like the Spartans so game play as an Elite would be much different and would require different tactics which is a good thing IMO. To compensate they could simply be a bit more mobile on the ground compared to the Spartans. Spartans can hover and ground pound your head into the concrete and Elites can wait until the Spartans hit the ground and kick their heads off their shoulders. XD I love it! The diversity in play style would keep the player on their toes and force them to switch up tactics to use their abilities to their advantage depending on which species they are fighting against or playing as. As for the active camouflage I am not sure how I feel about that one. I mean yes I would absolutely love that, but I also think it might be a bit to much of an advantage to be able to activate that at any time. It would be awesome to have as an option in customs, but maybe a bit too much in matchmaking unless it’s in a game type such as Invasion where the competitive spirit is much lower. I love to hear these ideas! Fantasizing about them may be as close as we get to actually having them, but we shall see.
Some type of story DLC could work. We could play as the Arbiter, the Shipmaster, and the 2 coop elites from Halo 3 whos names i forgot(sorry) that are still around.

I just put Active Camouflage because Thrusters on Elites would be a bit odd. Active Camouflage seemed best. The kicking part you mentioned got me laughing so hard XD. Halo needs to become a game of diversity, not a shoot him, then him, repeat game like CoD

They have confirmed that they don’t plan on introducing playable Sangheili in Halo 5 not even as a DLC.
Just put Elites in even if they don’t have Spartan Abilities
-Better Shields
-Evade
that’s enough for me

And like that, I go back to my PC. Now we just have to see what Halo 6 has in store, because that more or less will make or break whatever ties I have to this series. Granted 343I really doesn’t care about its minorities, it just wants to keep up with the Jones’ (CoD) with its arena MLG stuff.
I’ll save my ranting, someone else can do it for once.

Link? I don’t remember them confirming the DLC bit and can’t find anything saying so. Thanks in advance.

So playable elite DLC has not been ruled out.
343, you’re gonna lose me.

At the moment, at least. Their plans could always change as time goes by. Even if it seems unlikely.

Just to clarify (and remember) that we won’t see elites in H5 mp sadly

I agree with you thrusters would be odd on an Elite. Also if we are being canon about this, Elites would not accept thrusters as an addition to their armor anyway simply based on principle. That’s just not how they role. They have too much pride in their own abilities.
Also I am glad my humor was appreciated! XD
