Wow, i never thought about it like that… But that makes sense, i certainly wouldnt want people going off the charts quite yet… In or not in, there would be so many threads we wouldnt be able to see antyhing but elites XD… Yeah no, i expect this thread to become the largest on the site quite soon.
I love elites and will be extremely disapointed if they don’t make an appearance in halo 4 multiplayer but i would also (and i know im gonna get alot of hate for this) but i would like to see brutes implemented in some way as well. I just loved them so much in the previous halos besides the whole armor falling off -Yoink- they just looked so badass and ive always wanted to play as one. And before you tell me i know im a very small minority
don’t use elites, but really give these guys the elite during regular games, hitboxes are the same despite those complainers out there I’m not one of them. and if it has custom armor for spartans again, give the elites customization on the same level, i need something different to see besides spartans with big shoulders n eva helms

Don’t jump the gun yet. Think about it. The covenant have been on your side since the latter of Halo 2. Maybe in the story you’ll finally be able to reach contact with the humans and then be able to contact the Elite species for the newly needed help required to defeat this “new threat”. And with the aid of the covenant comes their weaponry.
TL;DR: In the story the Sanghelli and Humans might team up from the start this time.

Though right now it might take some time for him to make the Arum.
As for Elites in the campaign I hope they make a small cameo but nothing more. No covenant weapons in the campaign, give us forerunner weapons instead.
No covenant weapons or vehicles in the MM, as for the elites in MM? They say that MP is going to have some story elements and if the elites fit in to that sure why not, I have nothing against covenant weapons or elites, I just want something fresh and new. So don’t put elites in just because they have been in the other games. Nostalgia is awesome but it can keep a game from moving forward.
If you have read the books you will know that humans have had their hands on some serious foreunner tech for like 4 years when Halo 4 starts. So the weapons and vehicles I think we will see are a combination of human/furerunner.
So to sum up, forerunner weapon and vehicles instead of covenant and no elites, new trilogi, lets move on from the covenant and elites.

I totally agree with you. Expanding the Universe does not mean that we should throw away the 90% of it. Expand a universe means move forward and add things not shrink it, or else Halo’s first trilogy and the Reclaimer trilogy would be irrelevant to each other.

Everybody in this thread has different ideas about how the Sangheili should return. Imaging 343i pinning it; it would be a total mess.Probably it will be pinned when the Sangheili are confirmed to be in Halo 4.

In Halo Reach they created the Sspartan 3s and the Sangheili are in it. Plus 343i said that they do want to satisfy all the fans. If somebody hates the Sangheili then he can simply not plaay as them. It is really easy.

Well, hopefully the arum gets finished quickly, before its too late. And write the letter i shall.
I doubt 343 would want to dissapoint a large (Probably fairly significant) fan base such as the elite fans. So i rather hope that they make the right decision.
