No elites in halo 5 confirmed. I hate you 343i and I always will. You’ve successfully killed halo for thousands of fans. Bungie should’ve ended halo when they had the chance. Not given it to this company who ignores their fans.
Unless Elites are confirmed for Halo 6 it isn’t worth it for me.
I just hit the 1st page link. I was shocked to see the original post was from March of 2012. Then the second shock hit me-this had to be in the Halo 4 forum originally! I’m not one of those fans who enjoy playing as Elites, but I understand the passion so many do, and I know there are whole gaming communities that grew up around the very compelling story and culture of the Sangheli.
If this massive thread has been so carefully protected and continually posted to, somebody at 343 or Microsoft hears and understands the community is very large and under-served. Unfortunately, it’s not the developers who are making the games. I take notice 343 and Microsoft. This thread is just another monument to all your sins. You can’t blame the other team this time.

Being able to play as an Elite is something that’s special to many of us here. To you, they are reskinned Spartans. To us, they are an incredible alien race that can only be seen in Halo, with a rich amount of culture and lore behind them. The Elites have sentimental value to us, much like how many of us cherish the games we’ve played as kids. Like the Legend of Zelda, Star Fox, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, we value Elites the same way we value games like these, and to make them playable again would not only satisfy our nostalgia but it would be trivial for 343 to do.

h5 doesnt feature a ton of stuff just a few, and even then most are gutted. the lack of elites and local play options shows its lacking.

Don’t care? How? Because they didn’t listen to the community on this item? You don’t need super deep armor customization to have fun in a game. Same with possibly having a different race all together. Just because they didn’t add Elites into the MP as a playable race does not mean that the company doesn’t care. That argument is so stupid.

Did you even play the other games? Reach, 3, they had a bit of customization to them, for their time. And in their time they offered a lot, and as time progressed with Bungie we were set essentially.
We got firefight, we got forge, and so on.
343I we got a rebooted series, and Spartan Ops, and now the customization is no longer there, Invasion isn’t a thing, and the golden days of Machinima are dead. And its funny to see that Red Vs Blue, ended up falling back on the elite models from Halo 3 to use just to show off “Junior”
AT this point its less of #BringBackElites and more of #BringBackHalo. Look at what happened to the MCC, day one patches, and day 101 patches? At this point, I think we’re just trying to hold a company up to an actual standard than just having them do a song and dance to keep up face. And this thread ain’t the only one buddy.

Lol. Reach ruined the set Halo canon. I liked the game. But it was the least…Interesting to me.
You lost invasion. You got Warzone. Which is invasion 3.0.
You can still customize your Spartan. Maybe just not how in depth you wanted.
Yes it could be more. And hell, maybe it is. We don’t know yet. You still have forge. I miss firefight but I wont cry and not buy the game because it isn’t in.
Day 101 patches? So? It shows they are still willing to work on a game months after release. A ton of companies do that with their games. That is hardly a bad thing.
The thing about community forums…Is that it gives that the community will use it to tear apart anything the game company does. “They did what?!”

Of course it will,as the franchise progresses there is a reasonable expectation that it’d feature more things than its predecessors.From what I’ve seen with Warzone I can tell a great deal of finesse and detail have been inputted in the development of Halo 5.But the fact that even a small portion of resources (in comparison with everything else they’ve done) couldn’t be channeled to produce ‘reskined spartan’ and push back release a few days shows something.

I am ashamed to see that 970 people, including me, have been asking for 3 years to have playable Elites, and still they aren’t playable. Nearly 1000 people wanted that; the fact that 343i didn’t put them in, and not only that, they don’t even apologize, shows how much they care for their fanbase.
“But you got other stuff!” doesn’t count as an argument. We want playbale elites. Unless they bring them in, we won’t be pleased. Stop taking that argument out, and understand other people’s needs.
There’s more than 900 people that wanted elites back. There’s lots of people that don’t use halo waypoint that wanted them back. But 343 doesn’t care what we want. They removed full armor customization, they didn’t bring back firefight, they removed split screen and local. Somebody told me they removed those features to maintain 60fps. Well consoled xbone runs Gta 5 at 30fps and it’s still very popular. 343 you had no reason to remove elites. This whole “canon” thing scrapped my favorite feature. And to all you who don’t understand, think of it lke this, 343 makes a new halo game where you can only play as elites and they removed Spartans. I doubt you’d be happy then. Multiplayer isn’t a place for story 343, you killed halo for me. Thank you.
I don’t know how they would make it balanced because Elities are better than Spartan IVs in every single way.

Spartan IVs - Warzone
But that’s just me, I miss the old Chief death sounds that were completely over-the-top.

This has not been proved either way I think you and everyone else at the moment is basing this of an old tweet and the beta. No one know the level of customisation for the final game. Also you have to look at this way say 10,000,000 people buy Halo 5 and 5000 people care about playing as Elites, that is less than 1% of the population in terms of statistics. So while some people may love it and are obsessed with them as a must, the majority of people do not care. Sorry but probably due to all the stats that 343 have on people who play as them in matchmaking you are a tiny minority and one of the last things they would look at implementing, on their list when designing the game.

I don’t think anyone actually knows the real number on either side, its been a big enough issue to remain across the net, and like Wrath did point out, there are more out there who side with us that don’t use waypoint at all. I think the numbers are far more different than what you spout out, but then again who am I to say that? WE both don’t know.
However, minority or not, there is still that request lingering there like an elephant the room. (kind of miss Sandtrap now, and those elephants)
One thing is for sure, Halo 5 will be under tighter scrutiny this round, especially after the MCC.
