Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

ill get h5 but its going to have to be in the bargin bin because of this.

Well…that’s extremely disappointing.

Well this thread just got a huge middle finger up it’s rear…

There just spending more time making the Female spartans THICKER ( ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o)
Jk guys really sorry about your loss

It was very disappoint but I hope to see them again in Halo 6.

I cannot believe I’m saying this but, maybe it was better if Bungie worked on it

This is the only time I say that I prefer Bungie over 343 in the Alien department. (And alien consistency)

I’m telling you, man; 343 is going to make them DLC.

I will never forgive Bungie for that!

Source?

Lol’ing at how extreme you guys are about them not including elites in matchmaking. Saying that you won’t buy the game, or that you’ll buy the game but only when it gets into the bargain bin, etc. I’m just as disappointed of them not including the Elites in multiplayer as the next person but come on! I’m not going to have the lack of some ingame model determine whether or not I’ll be buying the game or not. It’s kind of childish if you think about it.

Arbiter is in the campaign and he looks -Yoinking!- badass, elites in general look badass in the campaign. But oh no! It’s the end of the world because elites aren’t playable in matchmaking. Give me a break.

> Wow, I’m actually shocked that they completely ignored this 510-page thread. It’s stayed alive since 2012 and they didn’t care to think about it. I’m still getting this game, damn excited for it too. I prefer playing as a Spartan anyway, but I’m still shocked at this. I do hope they change their minds soon if that’s possible. Think about the machinima opportunities with playable elites. That’s what made Halos 2, 3, and Reach so good for machinima.

You know the best part is that they are not even in the Warzone mode which is neither competitive, includes a ton of AI bosses, has Req packs, lol. Just lol. There is not even a balance excuse in this. Just that they don’t deem the Sangheili players important enough to be given a playable model even with just 5 armours. Regardless of cost it was a feature that kept a part of the players in the game and was important for machinima, Since the removal of Sangheili no machinima series has had the impact of a machinima series with Sangheili. None. NONE! 343i’s vision is that MP is Spartans only and I am sad that is the case at it hurts the community.

I’ll get it. But I just won’t play much MP since most of the people I played with won’t get it and those that will don’t like Spartans usually and want to play as other species.

Exactly. Not experiencing Sanghilios, the homeworld of the Elites, just because there is no playable Elite skin is cutting off your nose to spite your face.
Those people are either just talking tough on the forums, or they aren’t actual Halo fans.

Gamers being passionate about a single, nearly cosmetic feature that was in previous games but not in this one makes them non Halo fans?

Correct. It’s just a skin. I am of the opinion that no fan would quit over such a trivial matter.

Well you see the contrary on these forums. It’s not a trivial matter to them, nor does it seem like a tall order for 343.

I think most people in the Elite thread are still planning on playing, they are just greatly disappointed by the fact that playable elites aren’t returning. My heart goes out to these people and I’m still hoping we get some DLC with playable elites so that they can have their maximum fun.
But yeah, there’s some people saying they won’t play at all because there’s no elite skin. They were never much of a Halo fan in my book.

Well, it can seem like a slap in the face to them, with such a focus on the Spartan, and spartan abilities and such.

What they could do is give the same treatment to Elites and give them certain abilities and we can have a legit new type of Invasion.

Personally for me it’s more of the fact that the very apparent and high demand for the feature. They knew it existed and yet had failed to make any mention of it till being straight out asked, which suggests that they don’t care what happens with these individuals. They are a corporation so it makes sense for them to listen to the most requested and desired features that also match their desires and I praise them for getting so many excited for this games release, I however can’t ignore another example of 343 not paying attention to a segment of the community without so much as a simple mention somewhere on their own forums during the years that it has existed. This on top other things (including only having MCC start working properly for me a week ago) are why I can’t get Halo 5 until I know everything is ship-shape and there is no doubt in my mind that 343 isn’t going to throw an unwanted game.

So no, I’m not just quitting because of cosmetic options and it isn’t as simple as “I can’t be an Alien I quit”

Can’t keep balance and canon, unfortunately.
A little off-topic, but…
Imagine if Elites got the Halo 3: ODST treatment.
A full-size spin-off with campaign and mp! Pipe dream, I know…
