Well, I’ll keep my word. Sorry Halo 5: Guardians, but Star Wars: Battlefront won this one. I never thought I’d say it but, I have more faith in EA than 343i. EA was bad in the past, but they are starting making up for their mistakes. 343i, not so much, yet they claimed they did.
(343i says they “learned from their mistakes”, sees the biggest request on waypoint, doesn’t correct it. #343i logic.)

Well after 3 years 3 months and 13 days as of the time of this post of this crusade’s unsuccessful fate,I think its time gentlemen,to throw in the towel and concede.Our prayers have not been answered,time leading up to the release of Halo 5:Guardians is scarce and yields little potential result for our cause.I’ll be purchasing Halo 5:Guardians,but it is with a heavy heart that I do so.
That’s not to say 343i isn’t doing well in other departments,I can see they’re really pushing the envelope of Halo in Warzone.They’re capable of great things,a pity including playable Sangheili won’t be one of them.

Well they did listen to us when it came to ordnance, loadouts, perks, map control, etc. So I think they did a good job of listening to the community.
It is indeed a sad day. But nonetheless I will still buy Halo for its incredible story and playable or not, the Sangheili will always be my preferred and favourite species not just in Halo, but in all games/movies.

They were doing a good job, but recently they showed us the ugly part of their job: Collector’s Edition has an empty steelbook, the pre-order bonuses are going to give a real advantage in-game (if one of the seemingly reasons to take out the Elites was balance the game… how is this balanced exactly?) and with everyone being able to pay and get a REQ pack without any effort… well… this is beginning to smell like a pay-2-win.
Anyhow, I will not give up in this matter… they said about 30 years of Halo ahead, those 30 years I’ll still asking for the Elites back on multiplayer.
Maybe Elites could be DLC if we ask hard enough? Though I have no idea if the game would be able to support that.

I’d sadly prefer that. Hell we’d get our babies back in the game and who knows maybe we can get some nicer looking guys and if we’re still talking about DLC Sangheili. Remember when GrimBrotherOne said he’d like to see diversity and the phenotypes and stuff well a DLC is the best way to get it. I’d like that and we can have all the different era Sangheili all lined up together. I can dream and I like this dream

I feel the same. If DLC is the only way to secure the inclusion of playable Elites, then I’m all for it. However, I’d much prefer they be playable in at least a social playlist at launch.

Maybe just have the Storm armor available at first, as a baby step. That way they wouldn’t have to spent too much time on it.

How in the world would you know that they have time to add this feature before their deadline? By all means, speak with your wallet. If you don’t like what they are offering then don’t buy it, but what do you think you’re accomplishing by raising hell about it and calling them cowards for not doing what you want?

I can be when angry like this, so sorry.
But lets put this into perspective. You, want something from me, and for years now you’ve been voicing your opinion, your wants, and needs to what I can do within a reasonable amount of time, and money. Now for the first year you can understand I’m busy, I have to maintain things. Then as time goes on, I release details and you still don’t find what you want out of my product, and its been major deal for you. I say nothing, I don’t even look at your requests in fact I’ll just delete it here and now, not even bothering to look at the subject.
Now finally I have a demo product that looks like its completed, in fact before the actual deadline, you still see nothing of which you wanted. In fact you and many many others wanted this one every thing, that you know I have the time and money, and resources at my command to create. I still don’t say a word to you, in fact just turn up the volume and not even acknowledge your existence.
Now tell me, dear Agent C, would you be at the very slightest pissed off? Angry enough to say, “forget you, I’m keeping money until you fix this?” or are you just going to buy my product anyway as I would expect you to do?

Desperate times call for desperate measures. The devastating news from RT has turned the Sangheili faithful into cornered animals. I would know; I’m one of them. So excuse us for pulling out at all the stops. Like I said we’re desperate. Whatever we have to do to ensure 343 realizes a move such as this is a huge kick in the shins, then we’ll do it.
There you have it 343, we will pay you money should you include Sangheili as DLC further down the road.

Speak for yourself. I am not buying any dlc or f2p crap. If they aren’t in the base game I’m not getting it period. And they also better give us back split screen
Wow, I’m actually shocked that they completely ignored this 510-page thread. It’s stayed alive since 2012 and they didn’t care to think about it. I’m still getting this game, damn excited for it too. I prefer playing as a Spartan anyway, but I’m still shocked at this. I do hope they change their minds soon if that’s possible. Think about the machinima opportunities with playable elites. That’s what made Halos 2, 3, and Reach so good for machinima.
