Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

At this point 343 is shooting themselves in the foot if they don’t include playable elites. I hope it will be confirmed around E3.

Playable elites aren’t coming, you guys need to get over it! Just wear the helioskrill armor. Same diff.

Totally joking.

btw in Halo 5, you still can’t mix and match armor can you?

Good to see this thread is still kicking. Unfortunately, this may be my last post before E3. I will return afterwards of course, but until then…

I have some things to share.

Over the course of three years, ever since that fateful day when this thread was birthed into existence, many have lent their collective voices to the cause of getting playable Elites in Halo 5. And it’s not just on this thread. No, many other threads have been dedicated, comments have been made, and posts created in support of playable Elites; it is a subject that has garnered much support.

Now onto the point of my rambling.

Since that day three years ago, the company known as 343 industries has been given much time to contemplate and plan for the return of the preferred species option, and with it the option to play as a glorious Sangheili warrior. Three long years of listening to the fans of Halo fight for what they want out of Halo 5. If they have truly heeded the words of the Sangheili faithful, then I trust all has been thought out and will be made right. Perhaps they have made good use of those three years, working vigilantly on what has been so humbly asked of them. Perhaps not. But with the time given and the energy we have put into making our dreams a reality, they cannot ignore us.

Continue to rally, continue to fight. Do not lose hope. This is the hour, our one final effort at securing the rights that have been unjustly taken form us. This is our fight. And we will see it finished.

Concurred,I hope good news will be brought at E3 regarding this matter. And as I paraphrase from the great Charles de Gaulle:

  • The flame of the resistance must not be extinguished and will not be extinguished

I read that in Rtas’ voice… lol

343i is done making DLC for Halo 4…

I loved the ability to be a Elite in Halo 2, 3, and Halo Reach! Why did they get rid of that in Halo 4? Who knows! Anyhow it would be amazing if 343i added that ability back in Halo 5! I would love being a Elite again! PLEASE BRING IT BACK 343i!

They didn’t. 343i just cut off the elites because they weren’t canon for the war games. War games were only for spartans, a simulation of combat inside the infinity. So the result was obvious sadly…

Is that actually the specified reason? I always thought they just didn’t see it as a priority. Regardless, it would be easy to write in that the Sangheili and Spartans are doing join training simulations. They are allies after all. Looking forward to the return of the elites.

Yeah that reason was pretty disturbing  But now it seems that 343 is bringing back elites…i think…

343 will very likely bring back Elites in matchmaking in some capacity. I don’t think we will see them in the competitive arena, as there are too many factors (shape of head, body, height, etc.) that make sense to leave them out. In casual playlists, however, I would love to see multi-team Big Team Battle with different factions Spartans V Brutes V Prometheans V Flood or some other game mode similar to invasion.

This has to be happening, otherwise they are damn fools. I, however, have faith that 343 is making something special.

Till E3 It’s just me holding my breath at this point praying.

they need to reintroduce them

No. Sangheili and Spartans have been training together since 2553 in War Games.

You realize if they tell us Sangheili will be back at E3. All the Halo Elite fans will be blowing up waypoint

Of course they will.

Btw assist here if you have 3 minutes to spare.

Just a few more days until E3, everyone.

I send my luck to all of the Sangheili community, I’m hoping 343i won’t let you all down again, they would make a big mistake if they didn’t bring the Sangheili back into multiplayer.

This is your time to shine once again, stand up, and gaze into the skies at the galaxies, Halo rings, universes beyond.

Gaze into our universe and tell it that you’ve been waiting. I’m looking into those same stars with you all, and I hope for the best.

Just keep your heads held up high, everyone.

I’ll see you all star-side.

Now the Elites in the War Games create an interesting dynamic to play with. I mean they are canonically training alongside the Spartan IVs in the Anvil facility (ala Halo Online), so it would be a breathe of fresh air for them to appear in Halo 5: Guardians.

Alas, we shall see in the coming days and months whether our Dino friends will appear in matchmaking again.

I’m dying on the inside not knowing and the few pictures of them in Halo 5 is from the Game informer and even then their faces are covered so I can’t tell if they look like Halo 4 sangheili Does not like how they look in Halo 4 Well their faces and skulls n necks

I’m praying to Jesus and Forerunner Jesus that they come back.
