Judging by the popularity of this thread and all the people with sangheili names in the community it would be absolutely foolish to not include Elites in Halo 5…

You hope 343i will listen to the community as this will probably get up to 10,000 posts.
Get over it please there does not need to be Elites as playable characters to make the game better. It would just be a nice feature for some people who like to play with a different skin it should not make any difference though the meta game of halo.

Yes, I do hope that they will listen, but that’s all we have is hope. No guarantee that they will be in Halo 5.

Yes you want them as playable characters that is fine, but if they don’t make the cut you will all have to get over it I am afraid it is a nice option to have but it should have no bearing on your actual enjoyment of the game. If having a certain skin makes the game make or break for you then I am sorry but there are many more important issues at hand than having a different costume for your character that are of a much higher priority in regards to Halo.
Maybe Elite playable characters (in Halo 3 hunched form so they dont have an advantages over Spartans) will be available as a unannounced surprise when one gets the game?
I would love to see Elites return to multiplayer in Halo 5.
Just bring back invasion! It was pretty rad, why get rid of it?

As for Elites, I’m neutral on this, as I would probably stick with my spartan, but it would be cool to see both

So communicating with the general public in which they lack is not something that is considereal important at the moment, considering they seriously need to say something about the Elite community badly? That total makes sense sarcasm

Playable Elites are one of those things that makes Halo cool.
Having playable Elites is what allows this community to be diverse. It shows what species you prefer to be, and in some cases can even show what type of person you are.
A playable species in a Halo game is more than just a different model and skin, it’s a community, an abundance of people, and overall - An idea-… And ideas can’t die. Ideas live within one’s mind, and stay implanted.
And with enough effort, change can be brought, my friends.

This is honestly how I feel. I was introduced to the Sangheili by having to play as the Arbiter in Halo 3 co-op and I was intrigued. Sure it might just be a different species to those who don’t fully understand why people are passionate about this. I don’t fully understand why I’m so invested in Sangheili but honestly they were one of the first few alien species I became invested in. It was a simple thing that helped me evolve into the person I am today, sure there were multiple things that made me who I am today, but Halo was one of the first fandoms (Excluding Pokemon, Star Wars, Transformers, and Digimon ((However I was never fully invested in them like I am with Halo… okay Star Wars a lil more then the other 3 but still…)) ) I was deeply invested in. I looked at what it was and just plunged into the fandom. It helped me be the quirky person that I am. All because I was the dedicated respawn point. =P
It would be cool if 343i brought back the customizable shoulders/head/chest for elites that we had in Halo 3. But, at the very least, they could have elite armor customization like it was in Reach. Honestly, is it that difficult to port elite character models from the campaign and apply them to multiplayer?

Communication would be nice and is something 343 needs to work on and improve they could do with hiring some staff whose sole job is to communicate with the community. But again at the moment I am not too fussed that they don’t as long as they are hard at work on Halo 5 making as damn near to perfect as they can for launch I am happy. Better communication in the future those really is a must and should be a focus once Halo 5 is complete. However communication regarding Elites as playable characters is not a necessity it may be a surprise 343 are trying to keep secret as to reveal them closer to launch coming back in a cool way. Even if we had someone from 343 talking to us the answer to the question maybe be that this time they are unable to say either way.
