Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

I think those designs won’t be indicative of the actual Halo 5 models. Even Locke looks significantly different now than he did in 2014.

So what design you think 343i would go for at this point in the game, the weirder looking H4 models, or perhaps a cross between One of the games like 2 and 4?

Granted the ones in the cutscene with Locke were just the models from the H2A, so even now its subject to change.

Hopefully they just take the H2A model and touch it up from there, making Halo 5’s Elite model a combination of the two, perhaps giving the H2A models tongues and larger physique, but shafting the whole ‘jaws behind their eyes’ thing from the H4 models…

True there,

We just have to have faith. I’m being optimistic!

We won’t rest until our holy warriors return!

I think I’ve got a few ideas for Elite players.

If Elites are to be confirmed at E3 (Let us pray for that to happen.), we have to think of what types of abilities Elites will have.

Alright, so here’s what I’ve got. I’ll list the name of the Spartan ability, and I’ll give an explanation of how this could work for Elites.

Spartan Charge: When player hits terminal velocity, clicking the melee button will make the player unleash a devastating kick resembling the hook kick, where the person will launch themselves into the opponent and plant their foot in the gut. Any hits in the back will still be an insta-kill.

Slide: Rather than sliding on the ground, the player will Evade. Landing in a crouched position can be toggled.

Ground pound: Since Elites usually have some pretty neat gadgets, I can see the ground pound being the same, however the damage is weakened slightly, and to make up for it there can be an EMP shockwave on the ground, knocking out anyone’s shields in that certain radius. May be OP, I dunno.

Smart Scope / HUD: A more Sangheili type of HUD, one that either resembles Halo 3’s or Halo: Reach’s. Whatever makes the players happy.

That’s all I’ve got.

I like that idea Logan

Cool concepts, I like them.

Thank you for the kind words, my friends. I try my best to cater to all, when I can.

I shall return later…

Do you think the Elites will be taller then the Spartans, since Canonically Sangheili are taller then humans. Just a random thought though I wouldn’t want that to happen if it limited the Sangheili to a few game types.

Logan posed an awesome Idea.

I just hope 343 is listening to us.

Nice ideas

Humans and Elites should both play exactly the same otherwise the game becomes unbalanced and not an arena shooter. If Elites have different abilities than Spartans then the game will become Halo Reach all over again.

Spartan Abilites

343i is totally trying to do their own thing with Halo and Elites are not going to be playable because Hunt the Truth is totally setting the stage for a horrible stupid Innies vs ONI civil war in H5G.

You do realize that the SII’s were originally made to fight the insurrectionists and not the Covenant.

Although you do have a point, you also have to keep in mind that even though both species, Human and Sangheili are allied and at war, it isn’t necessarily always the same for both sides.

Humans fight for their survival, we can fight dirty sometimes, and do some pretty messed up things. But that’s how humans fight. It doesn’t matter if it’s necessarily fair. If it gets the job done and keeps the race safe, it’s viable.
The Sangheili fight for their survival, yes, like all species. But Sangheili pursue honor on the battlefield, and are extremely graceful with the sword. Elites with a vast knowledge of melee weaponry can be extremely deadly, even to Spartans. We’ve seen so in Halo: Legends - The Package. Chief got upstaged. I like Sangheili because they are willing to fight fairly, as long as you promise to do the same. It’s a true test of skill. I still wouldn’t dare challenge any Sangheili to a sword fight, however. Let’s also remember that Elites aren’t afraid of an uneven fight either.

Sangheili are more advanced than humans on terms with certain technologies, and their close quarters combat relates closely to various types of karate, kung fu, tai chi… You name it. (Also sword and blade fighting…) And not only that, but Elites are naturally bigger than humans, so I can imagine having to break from a sprint to a slide at that height could be difficult. Hence why I brought evading into play. Primarily the same function, but just more realistic for their body’s build.

Even with the charge attack, I feel an Elite would go for a kick, rather than a shoulder charge. Mainly because I would say that based on their anatomy the legs would be stronger, as is with human beings. Not only that, but we have to add some diversity to the Sangheili in general. In Halo: Reach, most of the assassinations for elites involved small energy blades that protruded from their armor’s gauntlets. In one assassination we see a form of what people would call a ‘roundhouse’ happen, when a slash through the abdomen ended with a foot to the head. And for that to kill a Spartan, that’s pretty powerful.
Overall it’s entirely the same set of moves, except for my ground pound idea, maybe.

I sure hope I nailed my facts. If I didn’t, I’ll accept any slaps to the face.
