well 343 confirmed no invasion, I swear if that stupid helioskrill armor is the replacement for elites I will forever hate 343. I feel like they have a -Yoink!- for removing things players like. There’s also a chance of less character customization, if you played the beta you’ll notice it’s more like Halo mcc’s customization.

I’d still like to see the elites playable hopefully 343 isn’t trying to exclude the elite community again.
I prefer playing as Elites in multiplayer. I like the Master Chief but I like the Arbiter more, since he has some more actual backstory.
Plus if I want to play as a space marine I can boot up just about any shooter that’s not of the “modern warfare” variety and find a guy in a suit to play as. A dinosaur-like alien with mandibles that open up like Predator? Well it’s either Halo or one of the -Yoink- AvP games.

Quoting myself I just think that would be amazing. Because it then shows that “Hey Sangheili community! We know you’ve been patient and have been around for a long time so we’re gonna be nice to you and give you this amazing option.” Do you realize how much of a Boon this would be to the Machinma community as well? Different era/phenotype of Sangheili interacting with each other. Gah!!! It just makes my insides all happy. But then again I’m getting myself hyped up T^T.
But who knows hey if it isnt in Halo 5 that the Sangheili community gets their time to shine again then it might be in Halo 6. I mean seriously it’s time that 343 remembers us. Heck Sangheili are important to me but I can be patient a little longer.

Ya know the (insult) Helioskrill armor, I suppose if 343I wants to keep their canon as it is. It could be more of an armor that is meant to withstand the higher gravity and none too forgiving nature of Sangheilios. Also might help for those Loyal to the New Order under the Arbiter’s guidance as a thing of “DO NOT SHOOT” which would be kind of funny.
Granted I can see some funny machinimas of the sangheili poking fun at a spartan in that armor anyway.

It’s important to understand that things aren’t really black and white in situations like these. There are times (many times) where visual differences have canon explanations built into them to enrich the universe overall. The different variations of Sangheili are one such example. The way that you see them depicted in H2A, H3, Reach, HW, H4, etc are all representations of how an elite can look in the universe. There will be times however, when limitations dictate the need to be more efficient with the use of assets, and something you see in a game might not necessarily represent the definitive canonical look for that thing/species/character etc 100%.
It makes for a much more relaxing and fulfilling overall experience if one is able to relax the rigid constraints we sometimes try to fit everything into. And trust me, no one is more conscious or concerned with creating and codifying “definitive” understandings of all the various elements in the Halo universe more than me lol. 
It is a balancing act though. It’s a case by case basis. While in a perfect world, it would be awesome to have every character represented individually, and have all phenotypes of a species represented within a single game, the reality is that there is a hidden - but very real - “cost” to doing so. Hopefully fans are able to take in and appreciate the richness of the Universe both because of, and in spite of, times where something might not “look just right.”
