Alright fine. If you think 343 is incapable of making a well crafted Halo title while adding a preferred species option to the multiplayer via playable Elites, then you are gravely mistaken. 343 Industries is a highly talented team consisting of many many employees who are perfectly capable of “frying your bigger fish” while issuing our side order for playable Elites. I can understanding wanting the game to be perfectly polished, but I assure you playable Elites will make little impact on the resources and time devoted to the final product. Nonetheless, your personal worries about Halo 5 are no reason to insult and attack members of this web just because you’re afraid 343 won’t focus on major components of the game.

It’s not like 343 would just throw in playable Elites anyways. They would be planned from the beginning, or very near to it. I for one really hope they are playable in multiplayer.

I’m sorry, but I seriously can’t understand why you have such a burning hatred over something like this. Why should it matter to you whether or not we get to play as Elites in Halo 5? You’d still be able to play as a Spartan, and those of us who prefer Elites would be able to play as them. Everyone would win. They’ve been put into multiplayer before, it’s not like they’d need to completely scrap their project and redo all of their work just to put a customization option in.
Honestly, you might as well be saying that we shouldn’t be allowed to pick a color for our armor because their color defaults to red or blue anyway.

What I could say here that has already been spoken 10 fold across these pages. I do not care how many times it has to be repeated in no matter how many ways. The message is always the same: A vast majority (and I do not use the term loosely) of the Halo community wants playable Elites in this new saga of Halo; never to be removed except in the case of a spinoff title. Is that too much to ask for?

And it’s still kicking. After 3 years this collective voice remains unconquered. In all my years roaming the internet, I have never once seen a thread grow to this size and stay this active for as long as this one has.
It’s unreal to think of how much support has been gathered towards one single goal.
I know I am a fairly new to this band of brothers, but I do not think it should change too much. All of us, despite our differences, all have one thing in common. One uniting goal, a single banner, a shared ideal. We want playable Elites! Not only in Halo 5, but in Halo 6, and in Halo 7, until the time is necessary when another change must come upon us. We want playable Elites with benefits equal to the Spartans. We want full customization, head, body, arms, legs, the works. We want to go toe to toe with our Spartan adversaries and rivals. We want a chance 343. So if you’re out there, if you are listening like you promised, give us that chance! Let us fight! We have more than earned that right! This isn’t some new feature we are asking for! NO. It is one that was unjustly taken from us long ago, and it shall be returned to us.
Perhaps they have already begun to bring our hopes into fruition. There is that chance. But until we have absolute confirmation of their righteous inclusion within Halo 5 and future Halo’s multiplayers, my voice will not be silenced. Until that joyous day, we shall establish contingency in preparation for the worst.

They copy/pasted the Elite model and animations from the Campaign in Halo 2, 3, and Reach… Your ‘time and resources’ argument amounts to rigging FPS hands and making a custom HUD; amateur-level work. All things considered, that is not difficult.
10,000 replies in a mega thread dating back to early 2012, dedicated to nothing but pleading for their inclusion in a new Halo game is more than enough ‘demand’ for one forum, and this is just from Waypoint alone.
They are well worth one evening in 3ds max and photoshop.

Honestly, I really have to thank you for helping us keep this thread alive. Your arguments are doing nothing but getting us more attention 
As much as I hate to say, I’m pretty positive we won’t have elites, and that 343 gave us the lame elite styled armor for Spartans as a bribe, I will not be getting this haloif elites aren’t brought back, I have zero interest in playing as a spartan.
Take it all this way… What would happen to the halo community if they took the grunts out of campaign… Wouldn’t that leave an empty feeling? Wouldn’t it take a little taste out of halo? That is exactly what it feels like having the elites stripped from the multiplayer.
I believe the return of the Sangheili race to Matchmaking has to happen.
Let’s face it, their community of players has been here just about as long as what I consider mine, the UNSC community, although I must admit that where I’m from isn’t the brightest in the aspect that just about everyone seems to look at the Sangheili players as if they were some type of parasite. (I’m friendly and willing to help both sides of the war. No hating.)
And either way, it would technically be Canon, given the whole ANVIL program, which throws Elites and Spartans into the fray of simulated battles was technically confirmed to be true, and whether or not Elites make their return is beyond me, given 343i hasn’t announced anything so far.
If not Halo 5, then Halo 6.
But I hope it’s Halo 5… I miss all those raids where it was all out bloodshed, and I really miss Invasion… It was pretty sick. But it would also be a good excuse to have to bring Sangheili weaponry in, because unless the UNSC just has loads of those weapons, well… There has to be a proper supplier. 
They better bring back the option to be a playable elite. I don’t want to play as a plastic power ranger.
