Hopefully elites are still in with the recent announcement of no invasion, maybe we could get a new game mode similar.

I would second this. The basic Elites versus Spartans gametype should still exist in some shape or form.
Give it up, elites aren’t playable helioskrill pretty much confirmed it.
This is Yoink.
I don’t believe Elites will be playable seeing as there is no Invasion and and this fella has a point also.

Well, it hasn’t to be invasion at all, they can still reveal a new mode on E3 but I don’t really have my hopes into it. So far it seems that part of the campaign takes place at a Sangheili planet, so it would make sense they at least ADD the Elites on MP, this thread is old, and sometimes I have my hopes up for the people who signed it.
If Elites aren’t coming back I would be very disappointed on 343, or whoever idea was in excluding them.

Give it up? GIVE IT UP?! No. NO. I absolutely REFUSE. The Sangheili have come too far, have gone through too much, for us to just GIVE IT UP. I don’t care what they say. I will not relent until the horrid day arrives when they TELL us the Sangheili cannot participate within Halo 5’s multiplayer! Until that day, I will keep fighting! Let the words I say here echo forever throughout the hearts of all who lent their faithful ear!! We may not ever get our chance, we may not ever claim the reward we so righteously deserve… but even so, we shall not be remembered as those who cowered in the dark. We shall be remembered as the ones who fought valiantly for the right we Sangheili so greatly deserve! Because if there’s one thing worth fighting for, it’s the right to BE an honorable Sangheili warrior within the War Games simulator!
Now is the time my brothers. Now is the time that we show them, that we are not some minority to be trampled upon and trodden under. No… we are the glorious Sangheili! And we shall have our rightful place within the Multiplayer of Halo 5!!

Confirmed what, exactly? That Helioskrill is one of the new armors in Halo 5? Yeah… Confirmed the heck out of that…

People have been telling this thread to give up for three years. The lack of playable elites in Halo 4 didn’t stop it, and I doubt this will either.
So no invasion or word about playable elites. 343i is just -Yoinking!- us in the -Yoink-, just because.
Welp there is always Project Contingency, if those guys are still alive.
Alright, how do I put this? I am downright sick of people saying that Spartans “destroy” elites canonically. This is completely untrue. I have explained this before, and I shall explain it once more.
The original Spartans were selected humans with special traits that made them better, even without augmentations. Spartan 4’s however, are just any other human with military experience given some augmentations. They are not ‘special’ in any way.
Now on to the Elites. Now, who said that the Sangheili couldn’t have individuals that are better than others too? They’re not just all clones of each other. Those Sangheili have been shown going toe to toe with Spartan 2’s before. Given this, it would be only fair to say that the less talented Elites would equally match the less talented Spartan 4’s.
Next, technology. Covenant weapons >>> Human weapons. Already proven before. Armour? Sangheili armour is made of covenant alloys, which are far more resilient than Titanium-A. The covenant have also had centuries to experiment with shielding technology. Dedication and experience > supposed inheritance. Spartan abilities? The Covenant have been shown with an increasing variety of portable technology in each successive game. If you think that’s all the Covenant have, then you are deeply mistaken. The Sangheili on their own have been able to invent unique weapons and vehicles, and have multiple armories on Sanghelios pumping them out post war.
Combat skill: All Sangheili are trained at birth. Even females. Spartans 2’s and 3’s were trained since their youth as well, but Spartan 4’s began military career at normal enlistment ages. Sangheili are also known to be skilled tacticians, despite Traviss’ -Yoinking!-.
So you may ask, why do the Spartans always win, then? Simple. Writer bias. Obviously human writers would try to glorify their actions and make them win. But the Covenant being able to glass and take over so many human worlds would require many Covenant victories, right? And they know there would end up being loads of backlash if they let the ‘Bad guys’ win.
One last thing. Spartan 4’s wouldn’t have even existed if the Elites did not help humanity win the war. You ungrateful humans.
TL;DR Suck it spartans

Yes I find it funny when people think that Spartans are stronger than elites and they think of elites as dumb beasts with little to no combat experience. There’s a reason why so many human worlds fell and billions were killed.
Not to mention those same people probably never read the books.
this thread is from 2012 holy crapbasket
three years and this thread is still alive and breathing, damn
This thread is still going after three years! I am impressed it has 488 pages and 9758 comments that alone has got to be worth something right? Maybe 343i will have noticed it?

Here we have 2 guys who hate their own race. ‘‘There’s a reason why so many human worlds fell and billions were killed.’’ Their is a reason, more troops, more ship+ability to burn planet from orbit, better technology, and many races ( your elite buddies would of suck without hunters, grunts and jackals ). ‘‘So you may ask, why do the Spartans always win, then? Simple. Writer bias.’’ True, writer bias, but for the aliens. They made them OP. Times when elites are " as strong’’ as Spartan = bad writing. When those 300 Spartan III were deployed, they were still young and had no mjolnir, but they still destroyed elites in hand-to-hand combat. And then, you have a spartan-II with mjolnir being equal to Thel. But mjolnir make Spartans 5 times stronger.
Holy -Yoink-, this thread is still alive.
(Just realized 50% of the comments keeping it alive are about the fact that it’s still alive, lol)
