Speaking of this,this would be one of the many helpful measures 343i could take to reassure faith of players in them for the continuity of the franchise.It’ll let people know they are not attempting to completely revolutionize Halo and try and retain elements of the original games developed by Bungie.

If they give us the elites, with full customization, and not game type restricted, I’ll be the happiest halo fan ever.
With the new abilities being called Spartan Abilities and Elite’s being unlikely to wear Thruster Packs I would say playable Elites are unlikely at this point, best hope is to have them playable in custom games.

assuming they would be. But that never happened in Halo 4. Of they are in matchmaking they will be in customs.

All I want is to have Elites playable again we can compromise if we need to.
Nearly three years and this thread is still pushing forward. There are still people on this forum that still despises Elite’s to be in the game, or think they are not worth it, yet they are so wrong. Never forget the golden days of Halo 2 and 3 when so many Sangheili clans were forged, and that Machinima’s were able to create all kinds of video’s because people had options for creativity. We must bring back what made Halo a special in our live’s and continue on supporting this thread, as well as any other that have reason to make Halo special again.
Agreed. red vs Blue maybe going on but it was at an abundance when we had Elite sin the games.

Lets just hope that should they actually decide on brining back Sangheili, they’ll stick to the fundamentalist approach to armor permutation aesthetics and design.I do not look forward to anything too contemporary,seeing as how they are drastically revolutionizing the designs of certain weapon like the Rocket Launcher.Their creative designers must be kept in line and not go overboard with anything.
Sangheili in Halo 5 honestly would be great. Plane and simple. If its in its own game mode cool, We get what we want and all the Spartans can do there thing. If its just for custom games and forge cool, there still in the game. If both of the following great. Just as long as there in there, thats all this Sangheili community asks. As for the customization, most would like full customization like the Spartans but hey, i’m fine with the armour slot pick like in TMCC, it counts as a compromise. If they make the Elites like Reach that’d be really cool to ( i mean size difference), or like i’ve seen from past post do an invasion game mode. Bottom line, it would be great to have them playable in the game. Simple as that. For those that don’t like Sangheili, I don’t understand what the real problem is.
Mild spoilers for TMCC and the Kilo-5 books
They showed in MCC that Elites and Spartans can work together, Locke and Thel along with their teams getting ready to fight Covenant Remnant forces. So we know they can at least work together, so why couldn’t they participate in the Spartan War games? I know after the war there is still isn’t a lot of trust between Humans and Sangheili (as the elite said to Locke in the cutscene) but it could be an excellent way to build up that trust by making mixed teams of Spartans and Elites fight each other.
Or you know ONI can keep doing that thing where they plan to poison the Sangheili’s livestock.
But anyway there doesn’t need to be a REASON for Elites to be in multiplayer, 343i keeps talking about how great us fans are and how they listen to us and with so many people wanting Elites back you would think… you know, they would listen to the fans. Not JUST the pro players.
I agree it would help the Elites in a good way.

Because the gameplay probably doesn’t support the type of hitbox that an Elite would have.
