Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Obviously you don’t, but this thread isn’t so large only because people don’t care.

I’m a bit nervous with this “boost your spartan experience” in the collectors/limited edition. What about elites 343?

It’s impossible to not know of this thread if you are active on waypoint, and especially if you work for 343i. They clearly would be ignoring us, and what’s more irritating is that they don’t give us a reason as to why. The whole “multiplayer canon” ruined everything.

Well, even that “multiplayer canon” thing isn’t an excuse for not having elites since in the Escalation comic, the Spartan IVs apparently did an Invasion simulation or something like that. And I heard that Rtas and his forces are doing training exercises with the UNSC. Not sure where that info was sourced from, though. But, yeah, elites would have good cause to be in multiplayer if somebody was going by that “canon” thing.

Very Intresting, I never thought of that. I hope 343 is listening now, there is no need to excuse for leaving them out now.

After actually playing the beta I have had a lot of fun with all of the new mechanics and maps. Currently Helioskrill has been enjoyable to where because you are likely to come across one person wearing it every few games. I look forward to seeing more in the near future.

Sounds like an excellent suggestion I must say,Active Camouflage was my favorite AA in Halo, and the removal of all AAs pissed me off greatly. But as I said, hard to see this being implemented at all for the sake of balance.Slightly higher movement sppeed would be likely though.

Oh look another one.

No it didn’t. 343 has just as much power over the story they write as what they decide to put in the game. If they want Elites to be playable, hell if they want us to play as a Grunt they have the power to write that in.

It wouldn’t even be a hard thing to write in. We’ve already seen it in the Escalation comics. The Wargames simulator can generate Elites, Jackels, Grunts, whatever the hell you want.

Elites being in or out has nothing to do with the canon.

Whether it has to do with the canon or not, that was still (basically) their reason for not doing so…

Then complain about them thinking that the canon is a good enough reason. Not the canon itself. But the point would still be mute because they were willing to put them in in Escalation.

Leave the canon alone, it’s done nothing wrong.

Yea put in elites already.

I wonder it 343i has even acknowledged this post. It’s almost impossible to not.

Elites will have to be in at some point. It would benefit the community in some way.

Yeah, I did…

If playable Elites are not in the game 343i should say this already, instead of keep teasing those who want it.

Here hoping Elites to return.

This actually sounds kind of cool. Im sure the arena part of halo 5 multiplayer will be spartans only since they are emphasizing equal starts, but what if picking an elite gave you different abilities. Maybe instead of thrusters you have evade like in reach and invisibility in the place of a different spartan ability. This would make species choice more than just choosing between models and introduce a differnt play style. You would also be able to tell what abilities another player has if you can see if they are a spartan or elite.

Why not allow people to play as grunts, jackals, elites, or even hunters as a special game type. Have all the different types with different abilities controls and even physics. Make it feel like campaign but with the rush and excitement of multiplayer.

I dont think 343 is ignoring this thread. think about it. One of the first pieces of H5 concept art was of Sangheilios. When they announced the master chief collection, Arbiter voiced over the whole thing, then the gameplay showed spartans vs elites. The added cutscenes in H2A had arbiter and his elites with locke and his spartans. Now we get Helioskrill armor wich looks like the arbiters in Halo 5. This may just be due to Thels return in H2A, but it does give me hope for elites in the future of halo.

After thinking about it, I think that if they are not added in Halo 5 for all modes, then it will be an even greater insult to the sangheili community than Reach and 4 combined. I mean look at it, we are on Sangheilios in the campaign, H2A shows that Thel is working with Locke, and this will be the second time in a row that we are completely ignored. Now I definitely will not get this game if they are not in.

I just hope if we get to play as elites we get to play as the thin, agile elites rather than the big slow ones. Like arbiter and rtas (swords of sangheilios)

Having Elites in multiplayer would be a very grand thing for me. It could end up being one of my most played games aside form KI.
