That’s what I think Frank meant when he said he had something for elite fans. An nobody wants that. It would be hard to believe anybody in this forum would disagree. Not going to say they don’t care but… i don’t know I’ll have see what’s in the beta.

Now I am starting to get concerned that the ones at the top of 343i are going to ignore us for H5
Saw the livestream and H2A’s Elites look beautiful. I am very very happy with their new aesthetic, even if they are Hesduros Sangheili.
I love the large headdresses, and the huge player models. To be completely honest I don’t mind being more susceptible to SMG and BR fire as long as I’m a huge badass alien. Plus, my skill can compensate for that. Also the HUD looks beautiful, although I wish we had options for color. The blue energy shields and the shield indicator are very aesthetically pleasing.
Looking forward to the MCC even more now. It’s going to be awesome. My concern going forward though is that 343i leaves us behind as the series moves forward. I can’t tell you how happy I’d be to see Elites in H5:G MP.

I don’t know, maybe its just paranoia, after all the expectations we had for H4 across the board were shot down pretty badly.

Anyways, I don’t think we should be too worried about 343 leaving Elites out for halo 5. They are doing a great job with them in H2A so far. They have placed a lot more emphasis on them than they need to, and I think thats to kind of make up for them not being in H4. I’m optimistic for Halo 5 because we can expect to run into the Arbiter and that will hopefully introduce elites that aren’t crazy fanatics still trying to wipe out humanity and let them into multiplayer (kind of in the same way H2 did). 343 is taking Halo 5 back to its competitive roots, so I’m sure there are going to be some playlists that are spartans only, but hopefully we will be able to play as elites in the non-ultra-competative games modes.

not much to go on. do you think maybe elites will be in the beta?
I think in the beta they won’t MEAN to show it, but will have an enemy playing as one to see if someone will notice it. If they do that It’ll make me giggly :3

I know right, though i think a lot of us will try to see if elites are playable before we do anything. lol

No. I believe that the Beta will have only Spartans (hell it even has very few weapons) and that the actual game will have playable Sangheili.

Sounds promising. I really loved the elites in general so I’m hoping at least invasion is making a return with playable elites.
A bit of a crap theory, but I suppose it might get somewhere. I remember seeing a post that showed 4 Halo MCC cinematic screenshots involving Agent Locke (And what looked like a second Spartan) talking to an Elite with red and white armor (And another, unidentified elite next to the second spartan).
However, the intriguing part is, that elite, and the one next to the other spartan, was toned-down sizewise so that they were almost eye-level with the two Spartans, maybe a bit above due to Sangheili Physiology. In any case, seeing as Halo MCC’s cutscenes are reportedly supposed to hint at Halo 5… It may mean that they are at least stepping in the right direction to bring elites back permanently. As I said before, though, I am probably wrong.
Couldn’t agree more! I loved playing as an elite and honesty prefer it! Sangheili FTW!
