What is this 343? That Armor looks so impractical.

It is probably only used for ceremonies.
This would make sense due to the treaty on the planet.

Honestly I don’t understand why. The Arbiters armor is essentially ceremonial and practical. It’s actually more ceremonial looking that that armor, the original armor was covered in engravings. The only thing I could see adding for ceremonial purposes would be the cloak.
> I mean look at this .Yes it does not look like a Zealot and more like a Spec-ops would wear but that armor looks incredible. If 343i took the time in and actually design him based on what he is and what his culture is. We could have the Arbiter that we’ve all been waiting for.

> And interestingly they had a proper zealot design but just decided to cut it.
You managed to pick the single elite armor design from halo 4 that I actually kind of loved. As for the rest though, pretty bad.
I have always preferred the extremely simple armor designs of halo 2 and 3. More so 3. To me that embodies what an elite should look like. Color coding armor, yet it is all completely practically shaped. This is a militaristic society, they should realize that frills and super huge headpieces are impractical. Halo 2 and 3 armor is sleek, refined, yet still has the essence of military discipline. I realize that view might be in the minority now but it is how I feel about the elites. For multiplayer though I want as much customization as possible.
As for physiology I’d like to demand that we simply delete the halo 4 versions of all the covenant and try again. Halo Reach and Halo 3 were both ok with almost all species (I still completely reject skirmishers being canon)
> You mean like this?
That is the H4 Major armor if some Halo fans pay attention to Elite armor designs. Just that this helmet is bigger than the Reach Major helmet. Its just concept art that 343 were thinking on ranks for the Storm before making their decision.
Both the Major designs from Reach and H4 here are similar on the helmet design just they wear bigger helmet wear since they are ugly Storm Covies.

Which would also be out-of-place on Arbiter armor. It would be like a Mercedes-Benz tag on the front of a Ferarri. The armor in itself is the perfect balance between a dress uniform and battle armor.
Not to mention the Arbiter and Kaidon armor are different. Thel is a Kaidon after all. Fleet and Ship masters wear only cloaks and Zealot armor however they’re not wearing Kaidon armor since that is only worn back home on Sangheilios and Kaidon armors are worn by them only. Everyone else wears Zealot and their cape that’s it.

Can you tell me what armor your’e referring in this?
I think he’s referring to this one: Kaidon
He’s saying there’s a big difference in Arbiter armor and the Kaidon.

Got a bit ambiguous there. Sorry. The part that’s underlined was referring to the Halo 2/3 armor, which I don’t think would look quite right with a cape.
Not to say capes don’t work, but the Kaidon armor doesn’t look like something you could fight in. And not entirely right on him, to be honest. I could believe it if it had the Mark of Shame somewhere, and possibly without scales, but it doesn’t look what I’d expect from a warrior-politician hybrid.

He just said that he was referring to the Arbiter Armor in Halo2/3
I know things about the Sangheili culture and I’m pretty familiar with the Kaidons.

There we go, I agree with you on this entirely. Nothing else needs to be said.
So pumped for E3, If Halo 2 Anniversary exists then we’ll likely see a Halo 2 version of the Arbiter on the Xbox one!
ELITES ARE -Yoinking!- BACK!, -Yoink- YESSS!!!
Yoinking! Elites baby. Hell yeah.
The Arbiter is in Halo 5 so hope this means we get to play as Sangheili as well.
The Arbiter has a new elite face. I don’t like it. I want his classic face back with his classic armor. I’m 100% pumped that elites are returning for H2A and that the ARBITER NARRATED THE HALO 5 TRAILER! Tho

We’ve finally gotten some new info on our beloved franchise! All and all, Im pretty happy. We are getting a Halo 2 anniversary edition where we will be able to play as the arbiter in the campaign and elites in match making. The only thing I’m not happy with is how UGLY the arbiter is. I mean, I’m glad to see him back, but please 343, make his face bearable to look at.
Even though this is great news, we should not stop posting on this forum. Elites have not been confirmed to be playable in halo 5, so we need to continue showing our support here and on the virtual battlefield. I cant wait to be playing alongside my Sangheili brethren in Halo 2 anniversary multiplayer!
Elites are back! NOT H4 ARMOR AT ALL! I got a closer look at E3 uploaded a gameplay of it on Youtube and our prayers have been answered! THEY ARE NOT HALO 4 ARMOR! However the models are H4 for both Spartans and Elites. The Elite armor is different probably a hint to H5!

It is a day of joy and drink, my friend! Master Chief Collection confirmed! Now put Keith David’s voice to this face.
YEAAAAAH! ELITES HAVE RETURNED!
Arbiter has more teeth! 3rd row of teeth!
343 is making the Elites look damn meanier! O.o I still love what they did to the Arbiter! ;w;
