Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

When reading the topic I have seen many people complain about the hit box on elites. So I decided to hop on halo 3. What I notice from my honest opinion was that elites were easier targets. Only thing I had to do was aim dead at the chest of the opposing elite. Now I maybe wrong but I found that to be really easy. I was even getting sniped more as an elite player. Shooting an elite from the side was just moving the radical away from the chest. I’m not the best Halo player but I believe the complanit is an excuse for people who can’t adjust their aim. Maybe even better adapt their play style. When there is little adapting needed when we fight the things in the campaign. Share your thoughts please.

I know there is a difference between the species, but beside head placement in SWAT, for me it’s basically the same. Really, I never notice any difference between character models. And the game auto-locks onto targets, so it’s not like it really matters if there’s an millimeter of space between the two models, so long as a bullet causes damage. I feel anyone who claims it’s a game-breaking difference just have a knot in their shorts about a bad game they had.

I agree, thats what many players have got their knickers in a twist about. I enjoy the fact that Bungie made slight differences in the Sangheili and Spartan player models in terms of dimensions in Halo Reach,it promotes more realism. Biologically,Sangheili are more well built and larger than Spartans,so its canonically accurate and pure. Unfortunately, this causes great controversy, but I’d like to retain the differential in the dimensions of their player models. In Reach at least, where Sangheili were considerably larger targets than their Spartan counterparts, they did have the ability to spontaneously regenerate health without the need of a health pack, regardless of how low the health bar went.I think this balances it out and it ought to be retained in the next Halo. There is an element of bias in this statement I make though,as situationally it does work to my advantage almost too well. But nevertheless, I am a Sangheili player.

Thank you for agreeing. There is no size or hit box difference between MP and campaign elites. The only thing that changes is there’s another person instead of a computer. My point being if you can kill one you can kill them all. If not it’s your fault not the game or the developers. Try to become better then coming and complaining because can’t move your radical.

Well, in addition to the name Halo 5: Guardians, Doug Barnes also said they were going to release information on multiplayer. Perhaps they’ll show Elites?

So, with Guardian being announced are we going to get the playable Sangheili 343i?

Anyone notice something about the concept art at the end of the Halo 5 announcement post? In the background, you can see what looks like a sangheili statue. Does this mean we will be going to Sangheilios!!!

Perhaps Chief journeys to Sangheilios to secretly gain the help of Arby and his Elites. He wears a cloak in order to hide the fact that he’s Chief so he isn’t attacked by any grudge-bearing Elites. This ONI-Spartan is hunting Chief to stop him from talking to the Elites, as ONI has been trying to weaken the Elites with a civil war. Chief speaks to the Arbiter, and he and his Elites go to Infinity, and we can play as them!

If the Chief goes renegade, and wants to take ONI down. Or is seeking Dr. Halsey, he very well may gain Sangheili allies from either the Arbiter, or the Covenant Remnant. If that’s the case we may see Lasky (and by extension the Infinity) also join Master Chief’s cause against ONI. Master Chief having the Infinity, and Elites on his side, could easily lead to Elites in Halo 5: Guardians’ ‘canonical’ multiplayer.

And just so we can be in every gametype (save things like SWAT/Proving Grounds so people don’t whine), we should be scaled to Spartan Size, with our models in a straight-standing position. That way our hitboxes align far better with the Spartan Model. Just a shrunken down version of the Reach pose.

Only 19 days to go until E3! Let’s hope for some Elite-filled news. What are you guys hoping for the most? Multiplayer or story?

Both.

Please Frankie! Bring back the Elites!

Seriously if they don’t have elites in Halo 5 I’m just giving up hope. I’ll continue to play Halo but mostly for the story.

E3 may not necessarily be the moment of truth for us THIS YEAR. This year I think is going to be more about the story of Halo 4: Guardians, with the Multiplayer of their “2014” project being the highlight (If it’s H2A with online multiplayer, then that definitely means ELITES THIS YEAR! :D).

We’ll likely get multiplayer details at next year’s E3, since that will be far closer to release.

I do hope elites return to MP. I always thought it was cool to have that option.

Trying to imagine what next gen Elite models look like!

Hopefully not hunched over.

According to Doug Barnes, they’re planning on giving something about multiplayer this year. Is it Elites specifically? Probably not. But maybe they’ll say something about 'em. If not, oh well. Any news is good to know.

They are most likely talking about either the Multiplayer of whatever they have planned for us this year, or news that whatever comes this year includes a key to enter the Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta.

I dont blame 343 for lack of elites in matchmaking i blame the halo community for fighting to get them removed. Did you know Bungie planned to have an arbiter campaign in Halo 3 but got removed due to overwhelming fan backlash and is why elites were kept in Invasion. So before you get mad at 343 you should look at the community.
