How about he picks up a Spartan and then breaks there back over his knee.

Bane from Dark Knight Rises. If I’m falling into a trap…then I am a fool…here’s risking it. post
I would prefer This to make a comeback.
Have energy daggers radiating a light coloured vapour, with misty trails being created when the dagger is waved in the air.
Also, the Sangheili pushing the Spartan to the ground, with the latter attempting to rise twice, only getting stabbed with an energy dagger each time, and finishing him/her off with the dagger through the Spartans’s head.
Hitting the Spartan with great force on one side, causing him to turn around and being sliced by the daggers in an ‘X’ fashion across the chest, and being finished off with a well placed sparta kick.
And Kaine,THIS (5:13) needs to make a comeback as well, its my favourite all time classic.
Being able play as Elites again would be fun. Playing as the Flood was cool but didn’t feel the same. Playable Brutes would be sweet.
> Halo CE- Standard units had two types of helmets. The standard “shark-like” helmet and the curved helmet. Specialists and Zealots had pronounced shoulder pads and helmets. It was not a whole lot, but it made things less boring.
Just something to point out it wasn’t just the Helmet that varied for Elite Minors and Majors in Halo CE.
The Helmet, Shoulders, Wrists, and Leg armour (above the knee) also had two possible variants. Each had what’s now considered standard (Halo 2, or Reach Minor) variation, and then there was the Curved Helmet, the Rounded Shoulders, the non-spiked wrists (looked different from the usually non-spiked left arm), and the other Leg variant was kind of half-open.
When an Elite Minor or Major spawned, it would randomly generate these four Armour variants onto the Elite. And then like you said Zealots, SpecOps, and Stealth Elites had a more pronounced, spiker version of each part of the now considered standard set.
Here are some examples:
This Elite had the Curved helmet, with the standard shoulder and wrist we saw carried over in Halo 2 and Reach (using this image as a reference for those), as well as the half-open legs.
This Minor has the Standard helmet, with the Rounded shoulders, non-spiked left wrist, and half-open leg.
Both Minors in this picture loaded with the same set, curved helmet, standard shoulders, wrists, and legs. And for bonus reference you can clearly see the more pronounced shoulders/helmet/wrist spikes on the Zealot in this image.
The Chassis and the Boots were the only two pieces of armour that were the same every time.
I honestly think that Halo Reach had very pronounced elite ranks.
> I would prefer This to make a comeback.
I’d love that to. I think the reason why they took that one out may have been due to the Elites not going for anything dishonorable.
since stepping on someone’s personal area or attacking it can be a low blow.
I would also love it if they brought the elites back and made them playable in a way where you can choose there armor and play as them as much as we want. If these people who dread balance issues so much, then why not a playlist with Elites own gametypes for matchmaking then?. We can still mix them up in custom games to.
That way we the Elite fans can exercise our right to choose and they can feel a piece of mind. I think most who worry about balance play matchmaking most of the time don’t they?.

I guess it wouldn’t hurt to have one playlist for Elites only. Then the Spartans could get their own and there would be the majority of playlists were they intermingle. It’s just you got to worry about segregation of the players which can lead to slower times to find a match and lower quality matches (lag). Of course if the total player population on the game is high enough than that might not be such a problem.

I don’t think segregation of players should even be a thing. If the balance freaks can’t slightly change their aim for a different player model, who cares except for them? I’m sure most players can adapt to multiple models.

I sort of agree with this.

It will hurt the elite community BADLY if the player models were separated. What you are proposing is rather something harmful to both Elite and Spartans alike…What we should all be focusing on is looking at How Halo 2 and 3 handled the players models. Nobody really cared who was what in every map and game type, so why can’t we do that same exact thing as is?
Halo 3 had ugly models.
I say base them off of halo 2.
> I don’t think segregation of players should even be a thing. If the balance freaks can’t slightly change their aim for a different player model, who cares except for them? I’m sure most players can adapt to multiple models.
I’m sure there will be some sort of MLG playlist with only Spartans, that way the super competitive guys can have something while the rest of us can play as Elites without them complaining about different hitboxes.

I think you misread his suggestion. He said there would only be one Spartan exclusive playlist, and only one Elite exclusive playlist. All other playlists would allow open character model choice.
TBH I don’t think that’s necessary, so long as MLG, SWAT,and maybe Snipers are Spartan exclusive, there doesn’t need to be an Elite exclusive playlist if they are fully selectable inside of everything else (Possible exception of Invasion where it’s team based)

Yes something like that,
One thing I’m really hoping we get is more Elite/Covenant style emblems. Most of the emblems we’ve had in previous years have either been human based or Forerunner based. Only a few emblems come to mind when I try to think of Covenant emblems: Mark of Shame, Grunt symbol(s), Drone symbol, Brute symbol, and Crossed Swords.
Perhaps we could get some new Elite-themed emblems in the future. What ideas do you guys have?
We could use the actual Sangheili Covi rank emblems.
> We could use the actual Sangheili Covi rank emblems.
That’s a great idea
I’d like to still put the snake emblem on my Elite.

It would be interesting to be able to put whatever number emblems together to form a unique emblem.
