Based on what I’ve seen in Escalation 343’ll do what they did with Halo 4s armor if Elites are playable.
They’ll put a lot emphasis on Halo 3’s style while mixing it up a bit. In the Elites case we’ll probably see the new artistic changes to their bodies like the ones in Halo 4 and the armor will have a few touch ups to make it have more of a Samurai look.
I’d imagine we’ll see a lot of the Halo 3 armor sets, only a few of Reach’s and a bunch of new ones.
This Samurai look they’re going for can be seen with this Ascetic Elite on Arbiter’s left.

I just dislike the legs on the Elites in Halo 3 far as body structure. Also the armor in Halo 4.

Not trying to dampen your post, it makes sense and all but we should also remember who was on the design team for the game that gave our beloved species our first light of gameplay, also… The lack of sangheili playability was a one-game requirement as the new trilogy starter. After that point, our good friends at 343i had (have) full creative control of the future on Halo. The community has made it completely apparent that the removal of sangheili was a terrible mistake. Just look at this thread for example, it is the largest thread on the entire HaloWaypoint forum, and what might its topic be? Sangheili. They know that change needs to come. Trust me.
I am in complete agreement with you pal, we have actually proven how big of a deal this is. It could have been a thread about no descoping, it could have been about adding UNSC air vechicles in multiplayer, but NO, It was a thread supporting the elites in halo, campaign, Multiplayer, and any other gametype availabe. With 411 pages so far and god knows how many posts (please, do your self a favor and dont wast a few hours of your life in counting the number of posts in this thread, as you know time is very valuable). So, we HAVE proven to the waypoint community at least, who is the dominant opinion in terms of elites. and taking the reply from frankie, we could assume they have taken us into consideration,(doesnt mean we will be able to play as them, yes, yes, I get it, and yes, i know it doesnt confirm anything, I know the definition of stupidity: to do something over and over expecting a different outcome…well is most cases. Like if rain keeps pouring on rocks, they well eventually erode into dust, but thats not on topic… so, back on topic) So yea, definetly hoping for custimizable elite skins… Halo 2s(loved the counciler armor)—>Halo 3s----->Halo reaches(loved the ultra armor)----->Halo 4s(meh, my favorite armor was for some reason the zealots/champions)
Damn, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but anyways, it’s nice to hear that we got somewhat of a word from the devs. But lately I’ve been struggling trying to fully comprehend one thing: what would a female sangheili sound like? Just think about it.
Yeah, I loved playing as Elites, I hope they have customizable armor too

Actually, I only just noticed. But Frank O’Connor also mentions that the Arbiter and Elites aren’t “A focus of the next game”.
Hopefully that doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t slated to appear in Halo XB1. Because if they don’t they’re gonna have to deal with the pissed off Elite community all over again.
@ Saifa: This is the 8224th post btw. The math was simple, 20 posts per page, multiplied by 411 pages, plus the 4 posts on this one.
> Well, the important thing is, a question, from a memeber who posted on this page and supports elites, has been (not so much) answered. But really guys, if you think of it indirectly, and they said we are doing alot + the addition of saying i cant talk about that right now… I mean seriously, why would they hide the fact that we cant play as elites, I beleive this is there way of suspending our reaction when we acctually see that we can be able to play as elites. I cant think of another reason to why they would answer that way. I mean, if we couldnt play as elites, they might as well say it now before they get a bad reaction from the crowd in the future. Although the first possiblity is very possible, i beleive a very likely answer to us is that we have limited playability with elites in matchmaking multiplayer but in custom games we are free to go, additionally with arbiter DEFINETLY going to be in the campaign or in the next (spartan ops) or what ever they will call the next firefight equivalant. If they dont do those, i dont see how they will succeed much. I mean, we are a large portion of the halo community. But the halo community that supports arbiter is much larger. So thats why if 343 acctually listens to thier fanbase (which would make sense now if they did) then they have to prove it with thier next game. Im not gonna say anything like, im not buying it if they are not in because it is just nonsense, but when COD disappointed me with only 2 player split screen option i abanadoned ship, even if it had squads, and clan mathches, and awsome campaign. So, back on topic, Elites in multiplayer seems to me like a very good possibility in multiplayer. I mean, he could have just said, I cant talk about it, but he added, we are doing alot. So final statement. 343, dont dissapoint us.
Call of Duty Ghosts was a complete let down! I will try not to talk to much about it on a Halo forum. If Ghosts had not changed from the modern warfare series it would have been better, but it did change and only for the worse. I am going to shut up about Call of Duty before I get to off topic and say the presence of Sangheili will be a major deciding factor, not the only factor but a major one, in whether or not I buy the next Halo. For that matter the next Halo will be a deciding factor whether or not I buy an xbox 1.

Dear Frank O’Connor the next game is not a focus of mine or my wallet’s. For real now I don’t see them not putting elites in again if only for the existence of a thread like this. Then again game developers haven’t been the most logical bunch lately=(
So I have an interesting question for Sangheili fans. Are you usually a fan who’s inclined to play Sangheili-type alien races in other games?
For instance, the Predator in AvP, Protoss in Starcraft, Numans in Phantasy Star, Turians or Geth in Mass Effect?
And what race are you most interested in for Destiny; Humans, Exos, or Ascended?
I know I am, I almost always play the elegant, honour/religion based species in the games I play. I simply respect their archetype and relate with them more. Even if that faction happens to be human, whether or not they are presented as the “good guys” or the “bad guys”. And I almost always prefer the aesthetic archetype with a lot ornate design on weapons, armour, vehicles, and buildings.
In Destiny I’m likely going to play an Ascended. They’ve been described as elegant, beautiful, and spiritual. Just my kind of thing.

Hur dur! Protoss, Predators, and the Geth are Awesome! That’s why I choose Elites!
Don’t know much about Destiny though…
EDIT: I just love aliens!

True though this may be,I believe we all have but one simple desire. To include Sangheili player models in Halo Xbox One which are not restricted and bound to the laws of game type.Custom or competitive, match made or community created maps.
And to your other question regarding Destiny,it’ll be Exo Hunter FTW.Just wish Bungie could make some exceptions.I love sniping and stealthy combat, but I want by weapon to be uniquely mine, nice and gilded, flashy and eye-catching.Not something utilitarian although thats the general theme their giving Hunters.
Dude, we so need elites in the next game. Playable Elites.

Correction, he says we do not see much about their return to Sangheilios (disrespectfully stated as “how Arby and friends got home”.) This is perfectly reasonable because they do not have to, Halo: Glasslands and a couple other things enlighten us about his return and the ongoing political disputes on Sangheilios. Nowhere in the video does he say that they will not be a focus in gameplay, instead, he says that they’re influence to the game “in story and gameplay” will be “a lot” I understand it is a Halo follower video and he is naturally horrible at explaining things. I do not blame you for misunderstanding the meaning of what he said.
I remember I watched one of halo 5 followers videos, and in the video he mentioned a halo comic called Halo Escalation. In the comic it showed Spartan Sarah Palmer in a training simulation (aboard Infinity ship) engaging in battle with an A.I elite minor. So my point is , I sure hope that is some sort of hint or hope that elites MIGHT be playable in multiplayer for Halo xbox one or hopefully Halo’s 5 and 6. As shown in the comic , an A.I elite minor was implemented into the training simulation engine/system somehow. Furthermore , this Halo comic takes place after the events of Halo 4.
If your interested in purchasing this new comic: Halo Escalation. It can be found on the app called DARK HORSE COMICS. Only thing is , it cost money
I think maybe it is $2.00 or $3.00. I purchaed the comic and in my opinion I thought it was absolutely interesting. I loved it ,Im a huge elite fan , ever since good ol Halo 2 days. But just to give you guys some sort of insight ,the comic involves the arbiter , an elder brute chieftain ,Lord Hood (Halo 3) , Lasky , spartan Palmer and her squad of spartans and a few other high ranking officials. They gather and have a meeting aboard the infinity. Lord Hood and the Arbiter attempt to persuade the chieftan to come to an agreement to be allies and hopefully make the chieftan see that the humans have an important means in the universe and to include that the brutes are destroying themselves because of their fighting over resources. I dont want to spoil it for you guys Lol so I will stop there. There is so much more !
I Hope I helped in some sort of way , I recommend the comic for elite fans , if your interested…but bless you my fellow elite fans out there
again I hope I helped !

A lot of the attention is given on the Arbiter and his allies, the heretics. However,I ask of thee,do your favour the Arbiter’s faction or those loyal to the original Covenant, whom are dedicated to completing the Great Journey,AKA activating the Halo rings and killing all known sentient life within three radii of the galactic centre. It seems that a majority of this forum are so of the former, however I do miss the latter greatly.I hope to see some elements of the traditional Covenant transcend into Halo Xbox One,or at least their armour making methodology.

I’d favour Arbiter,s men, so I’d rather prefer a WHOLE new art style mixed in with some classic armours(Ranger, Zealot, Minor, Spec Ops, etc)

I thought I told you not to count…lol its ok though… how much time did it acctually take you to do that…2 min?
btw… i think what franie meant by that they arent a focus of the next game is that they wont play a major role in the next game. like in halo 3 they sure did, but that doesnt mean they dont play minor roles or wont appear.
