The amount of trust they will have for each other will either lead to a united and new covenant or two separate armies slowly coming closer together.

Man I love how this pertains to Elites being in MP, lovely.

Posted by mistake. On this thread.

Blame 343i for making Multiplayer canon. Now everything needs to be thoroughly reviewed and taken into account before Elites can be brought back into MP.

> Something I realized about newer Sangheili armour permutations were that their eyes are almost always exposed, with the exception of Spec Ops units. We have seen in Halo 3 that a majority of the helmets had lighting aesthetics near the optics of the Sangheili, never exposing the actual eye, excluding the Combat harness.I kinda want more of that.I think that Sangheilis really deserve some luxuries our Spartan allies and enemies have been able to afford:Visor colors. The Sangheili combat harnesses or helmet, the later of which should we be able to choose separate armour pieces from different armour sets that have these glowing optical cover which would be controlled with the visor color option.I’d really love a nice streamlined combat harness like the Commando one from Halo 3.If 343i were to design skins for Sangheili armour permutations it’d be much appreciated. What I would like to see from skins is engravings and embossing done to the armour, rather than painted on patterns. With the amazing graphics the Xbox One delivers, the engraving and embossing would look especially realistic and we’d get a sense of depth that the impressions done to the armour would look like they were deeper compared to untouched surface areas and weren’t as if a smooth surface.Like a laser partially through metal, you’d be able to see the depth to which it’d pierced the metal.

A recent post of mine.Do your think the return of the lighting aesthetic covering the eye which should be controlled by visor color option be implemented.I mean since the Spartans had actual visors, shouldn’t Sangheili have their own variation such as mentioned above.Anyways,I believe if we are focusing on Sangheili located on Sanghelios,I think that focus should be channeled to the Sangheili aristocracy. If Halo 5 does have any storyline plot that involves this, the aristocracy and Thel would be in the limelight.Perhaps Thel has gathered said aristocracy on Sanghelios and have gathered large spheres of influence. With this we may see arrival of nice elaborate armour sets.

But once everything is reviewed and deemed canonical your Elite will be an actual character in the Halo universe just like my Spartan is.

It’s a good feeling that’s hard to describe to have your own canonical character in your favorite universe.

Plus I really want my Spartan to have Elite friends and go on missions with them, it would be so cool.

Plus if Elites are in multiplayer that means Elites and Humans are probably getting along again which is something we all want.

Imagine it if you saw your custom Elite in a cut scene. How cool would that be!?

P.S Whooooo! 400 pages!!!

Are you saying that it is impossible for a foe to have every edge?

I had several paragraphs going on about how that is…just crazy…but i felt it was uncalled for.

I did come up with a general idea for elites in Halo 5, and seeing as people have been doing this for a while now, I’m sure someone already came up with this. But to hell with it, I’m posting this anyways.

If there’s elites in the game in two seperate factions (Those loyal to Thel/Arbiter, those loyal to Jul/Remnant), they should have extremelly different armor kits.

Elites loyal to Arbiter-These guys wear more intelligently designed combat gear. Almost all variants are built off of armor similar in design to the Assault Harness, to show an increasing anti-Covenant focus. Thse are less ornamental than the classic elite armors, and the NPC’s wearing this armor follow a slightly different ranking system than the Remnant Faction. Some notes include; A variant of Assault that lacks the mandible guards, an upgraded form of the Halo 3 Ascetic armor, Pouches on the armor, and more solid/angular designs.

Elites loyal to Remnant-Wearing more ornamental armor than those loyal to the Arbiter, these elites are more religiously driven. Like the Prometheans, they have hardlight shielding showing rank (By the shape and of the hardlight), as well as Didact’s hand Symbols adorning thier armor. With the exception of the newer format of the Zealot class (Stealthy), they also glow more. They have stronger shielding due to the hardlight on the armor, and also contact with the Prometheans.

If both faction’s armors would be available in MP, the Covenant Remnant armors would be lacking the Didact’s Hand emblems, as well as having the Hardlight shields be more like holograms, that change depending on secondary color choice.

How does the appearance of the Flood in War Games link up to the canon? While War Games itself is canon, not necessarily everything in it has to have canonical justification. This can be seen in Flood, Action Sack, and Custom Games. How are the weapon-tuning updates carried out in canon? You get the picture.

I think Assassin means the Elites hitbox, size, speed, jump and everything. They were equal in 3 of course, Reach they were different playlists, etc.

It doesn’t really matter what aspects of Elites he conveyed would need to be justified in canon to be in War Games. After all, the Flood don’t even look like in previous games (they have different hit-box/model structures than in previous games, with the precision weak-point being the head, rather than the chest cavity).

The only real obstacle in the way is how to balance Elites to the Spartans (as you said), but that is really in the department of gameplay balancing, rather than canon justification.

We were discussing sociological and economic effects of Sangheili using Grunt labor for farming, and how the effects of it would be visible in MP… Why should I have to explain that my comment wasn’t 100% serious?

How much of that quote WAS serious? All you did was say that its because of 343i’s decision to make multiplayer canon that we don’t have Elites in H4 matchmaking (due to complications with justifying them in canon). Although you quoted a whimsical comment, your own seemed rather serious in pointing fingers at 343i over something that might not have had any effect on the ‘Elite topic’.

All I can say is that it wasn’t enough to make me seriously care about it. Why it ticked you off, I don’t know. All I was doing was throwing out topics and started discussing the intricacies of Grunt labor effecting the appearance of Elites in MP.

If the Prophets return,we may see another faction loyal to the Prophets enter the battlefield. The original Covenant worshipped the Forerunners.Though the Didact is one,he was betrayed by his fellow brethren, hence leading the faction loyal to the Prophets to believe he is in a way a heretic.

Through these 378+ pages we’ve have filled with our topics on the subject…I mean really what is their to discuss here without going on and on about the same thing.

Political trade treaties must be made in order to trade with each other. Consumers might buy with the ethics of Grunt labor in mind affecting where all the money goes. A Human might use grunts harshly out of hate for what they did during the war while a Sangheili might treat them fairly. Both Humans and Sangheili will have greater respect for this Sangheili, and will give Humans a better opinion about Sangheili which will help Sangheili integrate into society more easily. All of this gives in to the social interaction between Sangheili and Human. This interaction would be becoming positive if they were willing to set trade treaties with each other which means that they would likely be more willing to work with each other again during times of war. The amount of trust they will have for each other will either lead to a united and new covenant or two separate armies slowly coming closer together.

> Man I love how this pertains to Elites being in MP, lovely.

The amount of positive interaction between each species reflects if they would even consider working together in warfare and both end up together in the war games simulation room or other training facilities to train together in order to defeat their enemies efficiently. As far as I see if the species are trading with each other it seems like positive interaction.

>

Visor colors should be applied, maybe even with a choice to actually place or remove the visor for some or all helmets.

Most of the prophets were suppose to be on high charity when it got destroyed, it would be interesting to see some prophets who did survive, maybe they would even be friendly to humanity. I could also see another forerunner that could have survived and gathering a Sangheili following with Sangheili who follow the didact calling this new forerunner a false god.

Or there could be a faction led by a prophet that worships Precursors.

This is definitely a possibility. They could take the Didact’s downfall by humanities hands as weakness on his part and learning of these immensely powerful Precursors could make this new group think they are the true Gods.
