Another sentence to sum that up: They are screwed too.

Grunts are too scard of Elites (Or anything that can kill them actually), so they will obviously always be boing cheap labor fo eveyone.

Still on the fence on whether or not I getting the new xbox, but if I do, I really hope that elites are back as a playable race in mm again.Spartans are so damn overdone at this point and I stopped liking them after 2.

Elites got handed the “hit me sign” with 343’s direction in canon. What else is there to discuss?

Stabs an elite in the background.

They’re an intelligent race I think they will figure it out. Humanity has un-manned tractors in Halo so the Covenant could figure them out if they haven’t already. Karen Travis did a retconned the $%$% out of elites but the fact of the matter is that a lot of them were commanders and commanders have to have good organizational abilities such as feeding their troops, housing them, their transportation, etc… So while it would take some time for them to get used to peace I don’t think they would have as much trouble as 343 would have us believe. As far as jobs go unless their honor code has a problem with it I see them becoming mercenaries like the Ancient Greeks and the Vikings.

Hey don’t do that lets gang up on the spartans all they have been doing is fighting each other they could use a challenge.

Yea but supposedly Thel has started adopting human tactics in war. I can see Elites following him more easily taking on jobs like doctor and engineer. If this were to happen then they might advance their technology further and become able to rebuild their fleet becoming an equal to humanity after a bit of time. Maybe we could even see Juggernauts rise up with the new technology (Elite version of Spartans). I could see the new tech getting stolen by fanatics and rebel groups like Jul’s army.
After some time I think we might be able to see new species join humanity. It would be nice being able to fly a bugger into battle, I can see it being more realistic with a marine rather than a Spartan/ Elite that weighs quite a bit more.
This thread can keep going, we just need to work on old ideas and think of new ideas while we go through.

holy crap, I thought no one would remember the Juggernauts! Sorry kind of fanspazzed there.

I hope elites are playable again 343 listen

> holy crap, I thought no one would remember the Juggernauts! Sorry kind of fanspazzed there.

What exactly are these Elite Juggernauts? As far as Elite equivalents of Spartans, I always thought the Spec Ops Elites from Headhunters were good enough.

Well you know how Spartans go through training and then are injected with stuff that makes them Spartans. I’m talking about Elites getting this same procedure. Then they would be called juggernauts and in the Sangheili tongue it could be called something else.

| I’m not entirely sure what they’re referring to. The only thing I can recall is the work done by uBald. However it’s not that far fetched to think that the Sangheili will begin to venture out of the warrior realm. We already know that some are willing to change their standards and rules, so farming, science and medication isn’t that much of a stretch. Even more so now that Jul has Halsey working with him. (Of course knowing her, she’s most likely using Jul for some other means)

As for the possibility of the Unggoy. The only reason they haven’t rebelled again or started to advance is because their physical limitations. If I recall they’re rather intelligent and fairly scientific, even though most don’t act like it.

Here’s another thing to talk about. What do you think Thel’s forces would look like in comparison to Jul’s? Given that Jul is vastly under-reasourced, and Thel is/was, dealing with a civil war would they be all that different? I’ve seen some fan-art around Deviant Art that’s rather impressive such as this. |

Actually, there is a problem with the code of honor. Specifically towards the doctor thing.

Sangheili are supersticious about spilling their blood. They believe that spilling blood like spilling one’s honor. (Reason behind the Berserk mechanic when an Elite loses its shields). Medics in general are frowned upon on their culture, as they make the body bleed without a battle, and well, by extention, any knid of experimentation towards the body of a Sangheili could be considered general offense, maybe even heresy.

So sorry, unless we have an extremely open-minded subgroup (which we don’t have, because even the worst of the Sangheili have some standards) there will not be such a thing as an augmented Elite.

That work by Ubald seems like a good representation of what an Elite juggernaut would look like.

I know that the Elites are superstitious about the spilling of blood. It’s just that Thel’s adoption of human tactics might go beyond just the army and actually penetrate into society. Elites who are fatally wounded in battle tend to gravitate to dying rather than going to a doctor, but Thel views this as a waste of life. The Elites who follow him do so because they agree more with his ways, if they did not agree then they would likely join a rebel group. While Elites would be averted to going to the doctor perhaps under Thel’s rule they would be forced to go to the doctor. Thel with his intellect could make going to the doctor seem like a more honorable thing for a Sangheili to do, such as not going to a doctor and dying is an act of cowardice because the Elite refuses to carry on fighting. The adoptions of human trends into Sangheili society might make for an easier blending of both Human and Elite societies.
Another way of making Elites playable I thought of (and could already have been said) is actually co-op campaign. Instead the Elite could go on the other side and hinder the Spartans and Elites from completing the mission. This could be implemented into Halo 4 pretty quickly I think. This could also be put into Spartan ops if it came back in Halo 5.

I actually had an idea for such a sub-group that is a little more open minded and an idea for how they could eventually acquire the research needed to make Covenant spartans. It was jut some stupid ideas I had for fan fic before I started working on a original stupid idea.

| The only way I could currently see any Sangheili altering their bodies in any fashion at all, is if it’s a faction that still believes in the Forerunners as “gods”. The reason I say this is due to Forerunner tech being “holy”. Thus any Sangheili deemed worthy to be infused or allowed to work with said technology could be a new prophet or holy warrior. This would be an excellent way for Jul’s followers to be test subjects for Halsey to help create “Super Sangheili”. In the process Halsey would get to fiddle with Forerunner tech and Sangheili anatomy. While Jul get’s super soldiers and more experience in an area previously considered heretical/dishonorable.

Any other ideas or critiques of mine? |
