> That suggested balancing act seems fairly equalized. But one objection:The Sangheili, regardless, should be able to run and walk faster, just as they did in Reach. It seems quite a lot of work to be done and requiring many man hours to test, time which 343i does not have.I say we keep it simple and let Sangheili and Spartan traits stay the same as they did in Reach.
If they do this then there would be no way Elites would ever make it into a competitive playlist with Spartans. Just doesn’t balance out.
If there is a competitive game-type for only Spartans and then only elites that could work IMO.

Unless we want to keep that going or switch tactics to asking them directly via email, forum, or actual mail via UPS or Fedex, I’m not sure they’re gonna budge. (does not insert political jab)

The way to handle Elites can’t be answered by going the “Halo 3 route” or “Reach route”, because they both had negatives (whether it be improper hitboxes and head placement, or having different stats and sizes). We need to take what worked from both of them while leaving the cons behind. By this, I mean:
- Same height as S-IV player models- Same stats (shield strength/recharge rate, movement speed, jump height, health, etc.)- Reach-era posture (allows for headshots from behind), with fitted hit-boxes rather than recycled ones from the S-IV model (that caused discrepancies in Halo 3)

Only Mk VI, Mk V, ODST, Prefect, FOTUS, Ricochet and Recruit are truly complete sets. Something I hope they fix in Halo 5.

> Using the names of their alternate Skins you can mixand match some other Armours together as well, for instance Wetwork and Contoured is part of a set, as well as Gungnir, and BULK.
I understand what you mean by the Gungir with the Pulse skin and everything but what do you mean by Wetwork? That hasn’t got a skin none of the specialization armors do which includes my Pathfinder.
Plus using skins to create full armor sets isn’t a perfect system. The Recruit Prime skin for example. The Prime skin is for the Recruit helmet, torso, arms and shoulder plates but the legs that have the Prime skin aren’t recruit like the rest, instead it’s the RG-63 Counter that has the skin. So skins don’t strictly stick to an armor set.
So when we get our elites back what is the first thing you guys are planning on doing? I for one am intent on violently tbagging my fallen opponents=)
I’m going to party in game.My friends on XBL organize great custom games and I’ll,as usual, play as a Sangheili and am intent on kicking some spartan booty.
I’m going to rebuild all my custom game types that I’ve made in Halo 4 but this time they will be Elite friendly.
Then I’ll give my mates a call and I’ll have my whole team back together, Elites and Spartans.
The first thing i’m doing is playing with my clan mates that are in the Sangheili Community. Clan: Legendary Vanguard.
| I’d most likely celebrate by playing online constantly with said Sangheili, trying to unlock all of the armor and poses. Then jump into some customs and forge to create a new hangout. Here’s to hoping we’ll get Arbie and our 'leets back in Halo 5. |

Yes there shall be kicked spartan bootay! No offense spartan supporters.
I hope that if Elites return (they need to return), that custom maps are made accordingly. Many are the custom maps I’ve been on that had only Spartans in mind when they were created…
> Hey guys long time no see due to school and internet trouble=( So what’s new any reply yet?

Hey guys, sorry I haven’t posted since checks calender June.
I am back and am yours to command!
How bout an elite specilization? that would easily be end of story
There have been a few instances where my Sangheili player model couldn’t fit into certain spaces. If they do retain their Halo Reach hit box,I do agree that maps should be more Sangheili friendly. As with specializations,I think that needs to be scrapped,as I doubt that 343i will actually have enough time to create separate Spartan and Sangheili armour for the specialisations. That however,if implemented, would be rather epic.It is in my opinion, however, that tactical and support packages should be scrapped as well,as they provide situational unfairness to gameplay. All players should start on equal footing.
I wouldn’t mind some Spartan specializations getting cut. Pioneer, Engineer and Tracker just feel like fill ins. They’re armor mods are pretty useless and Tracker is the only decent armor set out of them and it isn’t even that great.
Spec ops and Ranger would make pretty cool specializations for an Elite. General, Warrior or Honor guard might work too. Don’t know about Zealot though, maybe that could be for legendary completion or something.
Hey guys, Halo 3 is now free to play. If you want to experience the last true golden age of sangheili, now’s the time. Maybe if we help flood Halo 3’s population and get it on Major Nelson’s charts, we’ll show 343i that not only does Halo need to be more classic again, but Elites in MM need to come back!
This is a summary of what i think about elites in multiplayer…
If they were half health, half speed, half sheild of spartans, I would still play as them as they are my favorite species of all universes, games, and video clips. So playing as them would just make me happy. (Fav character however is still Master chief) But unfortunately, not every player outside there is satisfied with this. So I agree with your idea of all on one ground, equal hitboxes and traits, and have no argument against that, and there should probably be an option to custimize traits of elites and spartans seperately in certain playlists, like for example, classic slayer would have equal hitboxes and stuff, but in invasion, elites should feel more elitish, you know what i mean, right? (please tell me 343 your bringing invasion back)and additionally, in some other game type(like invasion) (lol this is becoming a wish list) allow some other playable characters as hunters, brutes, maybe even promethen knights( i dont think 343 is thinking of getting rid of them that easily)and sentinals

Halo 3’s servers are laggy as hell now=( That and after jetpacking around in Reach I just can’t go back to 3 it just feels to slow (let the fanboys attack=(. I do get your frustration with there not being any classic modes in 4 though.

I can’t help but think that if everyone did this 343 would just think that any increase in population would be due to the game being free.
Wouldn’t it make more sense to try and get everyone to play Halo 3 when it isn’t going to be flooded by a bunch of randoms that are only there because the was made free.
Had an idea while skimming through the past few pages. What if, instead of Elites, we could play as Jackals?
They’re about the same height as a Spartan-IV, so size reduction wouldn’t be a problem. The only thing they’re missing is a personal shield which could be fixed with a canonical explanation to give them one.
Balancing could be done 1:1, or offset, Jackals being better in some areas while Spartans are better in others, like in Halo: Reach.
Just an idea.
