Before the Sangheili met the San Shuum they were a space faring race capable of holding off a Forerunner dreadnaught for some time and in Halo 3 we see that they are beginning to bring back their own technology like the assault and asetic armors. There is a difference between taking some time to learn and being a complete idiot! The Sangheili are an intelligent race who at the very least would know to not let all the Hugarok escape. I also remember reading somewhere that the Sangheili had their own weapons factories possibly with Sangheili scientist overseers. So all in all the Sangheili might have problems with their tech after the war but not to the extent that Karen Traviss potrays.

Good points. I think that my biggest problem with how they handled the Arbiter is that they didn’t have him answer Telcam’s challenge to duel him and have to ask Infinity for help. The not answering the challenge thing can be explained by the Arbiter not receiving the challenge because of communication problems, but half jaw should have come to the Arbiter’s aid with the Shadow of Intent and blasted the Abiding Truth’s ships out of the sky. All in all I guess it could of been worse as far as the Arbiter goes but it could have been better. Also Telcam should consider himself lucky because the Arbiter would have kicked his ###. As for the anti-ONI elite you’re right about Jul but I should have said that I wanted an anti-ONI elite who served the Arbiter but didn’t tell about what he knows because he believes that ONI is the real culprit and the rest of humanity wants peace and telling would possibly start a war.

The anti-ONI Elite could tell the Arbiter since the Arbiter is more intelligent than other Elites. Thel might find a political way to destroy ONI, but he likely wouldn’t start a war with Humanity. If he did start a war it would be against ONI.

True and that would make an interesting spops like series where you’re an elite tasked by the Arbiter to go on anti-ONI missions.

I do hhope we see the Elites again. come on343, Elites for MP.

You know the glowing plasma areas in the Covenant Communication Node?I would like to see that incorporated into their armour, and decorative hardlight pieces.

Any ideas on the newly retextured Energy Sword in Halo 5?I would like to see sparks in & along the blade buzzing about violently and reduce the glow on the sword so that it does not give away position that easily.

> True and that would make an interesting spops like series where you’re an elite tasked by the Arbiter to go on anti-ONI missions.

That is also true. We could have a variety of new human enemies to deal with because its ONI and they not only likely have new prototype weapons but also human subjects to use in order to advance their Spartan formula or other experiments. The variety would include Spartans that belong to ONI (maybe allowing players to play on the other side). Maybe we could see ONI experimental vehicles as well. If Thel ordered steal missions to go and steal these new prototypes and begins to train scientists in order to advance their tech to a new level it would make Thel a formidable force to deal with, and might put humanity on the edge if they don’t make themselves a formal open agreement with Thel.

> Evade,OP or not,you decide.Cause I suggest this AA to be reimplemented into future Halo games on Talking Back series in Halo5Followrer’s youtube comments, and people say its OP.I think this AA is really essential for Sangheili as they have to have at least something to balance their kill box.

If you didn’t move like 30 feet from using it, and it didn’t work 2 times in a row, and if the hitbox wasn’t weird, it wouldn’t have been considered OP. If they made it more like the thruster pack then it would be fine.

> Any ideas on the newly retextured Energy Sword in Halo 5?I would like to see sparks in & along the blade buzzing about violently and reduce the glow on the sword so that it does not give away position that easily.

Or steam wisps could be added like the Halo Wars Arbiter’s sword.

Sounds great,I love it.I would like to see a little work done on the handle though.Us Sangheili should also get new assassinations.

Quick question. Would you guys prefer Elites like they were in Halo 3 MP or Halo Reach MP?

Do you mean in terms of aesthetics or freedom and flexibility of having your Sangheili player model in any game type.
If its aesthetics, its Reach,if its the latter its Halo 3.Personally I would like Sangheili availability in matchmaking to be slightly restricted but allow us to play as Sangheili a majority of the time as I wouldlike to play as Spartans occasionally.

> Quick question. Would you guys prefer Elites like they were in Halo 3 MP or Halo Reach MP?

Neither were properly balanced.

Halo 3’s elites were harder to shoot from behind (I’ve gone in and done tests with this.) and their head jutting out in front of them gave them an advantage. In Reach, they were massive, faster and stronger than the spartans, and unforunately were only featured in select gametypes.

What I want to see in the future (aside from my previously listed option to set whether or not you see alternate species in play) are Reach elites with the same height and traits as a Spartan.

No advantages, no differences in how they react to things or how fast and strong they are.

This could be explained canonically by a previously suggested cutscene a few pages back.

Halo Wars designs where amazing, the Covenant weapons and vehicles looked amazing and where so intricate.

> Quick question. Would you guys prefer Elites like they were in Halo 3 MP or Halo Reach MP?

I would want Halo Reach type of Sangheili just because they felt right and felt realistic to be bigger, stronger, and faster then Spartans. I would to have playlists where you would pretty much have also have Sangheili BTB, Sangheili slayer, and where they are all Sangheili.(both teams) Also without discarding regular BTB and slayer.

If you chose the option to play Invasion, you don’t have the excuse of complaining their bigger then you and OP because in Reach Spartans had better weapons and Sangheili had advantage of being bigger, and faster.

So to balance that out the covi’s weapons weren’t as strong. thats what I keep telling people. but they don’t listen.

I say this. for Matchmaking
Spartan Playlists
Elite Playlists
Invasion-mix

For Custom Games.
Mix it up.

It’s a win/win/

its a win/win

Or, we make them equal in height, strength, speed, and all other factors so it isn’t complicated.

Is there really any NEED for Elites to be taller and faster than Spartans? I don’t see any reason for it when they worked fine in Halo 2 and 3, minus the hitbox issues, and back then they were in pretty much every playlist because it wasn’t a huge problem. Do you guys want Elites to be segregated and limited like they were in Reach? The reality of the situation is that Elites aren’t really popular enough to justify 1 playlist solely for them, it’s like demanding a playlist for only people that wear Recon. If you guys keep asking them for Elites to be different statistically, then expect it to be like Reach where you almost never get to play as an Elite.

If they bring em back make it that it doesnt look like halo 3 they were 2 much bend over and didnt walk straight up.

I hope its more like halo 1-2 style elites…

I would to have playlists where you would pretty much have also have Sangheili BTB, Sangheili slayer, and where they are all Sangheili.(both teams) Also without discarding regular BTB and slayer.

Actually, Sangheili have plenty of a reason to have this and also you clearly never been in the Sangheili Community with their is tons of people joining the clans everyday.

Plus, if they were to be like in Halo 3 its not worth it because Sangheili aren’t hunchbacks like in H3. Halo Reach made Sangheili actually feel like you were different from Spartans.

I mean I know what you mean by where they scale them down and it does make sense, but its not worth it and defeats the purpose of being different in MP drastically.
