if we can I want full customization unlike reach
I am honestly floored by the support this thread has gotten, now moved to the Xbox One forum. The popularity of this thread undoubtedly has roused other fans to our cause and gained the attention of some 343i Employees if we have been lucky. It is truly an honor to see the community rally behind a cause. I thank you all greatly for uniting together and supporting the deliverance of the most iconic alien race back to their rightful position in the Halo Universe.
The elites added more variety to multiplayer. Not only that, but they were quite an important piece of machinama too. Plus, it was just fun play as something different than the usual Spartan!
Here’s for Elites returning in Halo 5, or Halo Xbox One… Whatever it’s called.

I really hope they return to multiplayer, no way 343 can miss this thread, I thank you for starting it
Just played a game of Elite Slayer in Reach, it was the greatest thing ever

For Sangheilos! For our return! Thank you for starting this thread=)
Guys here’s an ida,do give me feedback.
I would like for Sangheili to have a Point Defense Gauntlet as an armour ability which is restricted Covenant material[if there will be any, like Evade],but will be available to players in all playlists. It will look similar to the shields used by Skirmishers, they are quite effective at deflecting rounds.Their appearance will not be anything like the Hardlight shield in terms of texture and colour. It will change colour as the defence gauntlet emitters are hit by rounds. This will cover the centre mass of the Sangheili/Spartan yet allow them to maintain manoeuvrability.Sangheili should have an advantage in the sense their armour is calibrated more for their own combat harnesses and hence the emitters project larger shields.I know this ruins the fact and concept of equal starts, but Sangheili are bigger and more of a target and will be.
Ladies and Gentlemen?, I give you all many thanks. for showing your support for the Elites in Multiplayer.
Welp got bad news (or good pending on your views) Travis is making the final novel of the Kilo-Five trilogy.
Why is my gut already churning?

Why would you think she wouldn’t be finishing the trilogy she’s already written 2 books for?
And I’m sure we’re all terrified of what she will do/mess up next.

Cringe/shudder=( I liked how those books actually started to go into Sangheili culture but that was probably their only good point. The downside is of course the retconning especially of the Arbiter!

This is where Karen will do a 180 and tell the story of a Sangheili world that is fully intact, has a complete military, a fully functioning government, is pro-human and is merely fighting the Jiralhanae and cares not for the UNSC.
One can dream can’t they?

I could understand just about everything except the pro-Human part. Sangheili fought Humans for around 30 years, even thought they no longer have any need to fight each other 30 years of all out war, prejudice, and extermination wouldn’t go away quickly.
Evade,OP or not,you decide.Cause I suggest this AA to be reimplemented into future Halo games on Talking Back series in Halo5Followrer’s youtube comments, and people say its OP.I think this AA is really essential for Sangheili as they have to have at least something to balance their kill box.

I loved evade=) Thruster pack had promise but it turned out incredibly stupid!

That book will mostly be about Venezia.
To raise your hopes though, there is a comic book series coming out in December. It’s plot will cover “how the events of Halo 4 have helped define the destiny not only of the Chief but of the galaxy as a whole”. The first issue of the new series will begin in the midst of a violent assault from forces determined to stop diplomatic talks between the Arbiter and the Brutes.
So if you were worried about the Arbiter being alive, you can now be confident he lives after the final K5 book.
You can also be confident that, if Thel is trying to make peace with the Brutes, then he is still probably trying to keep peace with the Humans. Thel seems to keep trying to be the “let’s all play nice” kind of guy. By thinking of this, that means an alliance with Thel’s Elites, thus making them playable in Multiplayer (assuming they’re still doing the canon thing), still seems very likely.
Anyways, still very glad to see this Topic going very strong.

Because she, and 343i, turned the Elites into a bunch of bumbling savages who couldn’t operate a toaster? I don’t see that changing much.

I hate that so much! Before the Sangheili met the San Shuum they were a space faring race capable of holding off a Forerunner dreadnaught for some time and in Halo 3 we see that they are beginning to bring back their own technology like the assault and asetic armors. There is a difference between taking some time to learn and being a complete idiot! The Sangheili are an intelligent race who at the very least would know to not let all the Hugarok escape. I also remember reading somewhere that the Sangheili had their own weapons factories possibly with Sangheili scientist overseers. So all in all the Sangheili might have problems with their tech after the war but not to the extent that Karen Traviss potrays.
P.S. It is also stupid how most of the Covenant fleet just disappears! You think that at least the assault carrier Shadow of Intent under half jaw would come to the Arbiter’s aid. It would be amazing if the Arbiter and his men found a supercarrier which I think would be incredibly helpful against Forerunner ships, but lets face it 343 is never going to do that=( It is incredibly stupid how humanity is trying to screw over the Elites when they are the only faction in the known universe who has helped them. The UNSC doesn’t have a lot of friends and they are trying to screw over the only one they do have!

Well last I checked on this, I recall they made it back to nothing more than a mindless humans are superior killing aliens game again.
Even Halo 1 had more context than what I stated above.
Now its late, and I’m probably a bit deluded SOOO bear with me.
To make things worse with Karen and 343i, all they need now is MULTICOLORED EXPLOSIONS of 16…I mean 3 “Different” endings and then we can say this disaster is complete.
Now on a more serious note.
The Sangheili if anything are like the “Russians” in space, or the Japanese, or whatever. They’re meant to be a SUPERPOWER, a galactic one at that. the Brutes and Jackals would be minor powers, the Kig-Yar (jackals) would probably have a bit more leverage with humanity due to the fact they’re merchants (and space pirates)
Still the point stands, the Sangheili despite the cease fire after the war, would be on a shaking foundry, but they could stablize and get back up to strength to defend themselves from whatever threats come their way, including but not limited to…humanity. (Seriously, do writers think that humanity even in the far future are gonna be the victims and are always the good guys? Well then rename the Spartan Project to Cerberus)

It is so ironic that they still potray humans as the victims when ONI is developing bio-chem weapons to use on the Sangheili and arming terrorist which has got to be one of their best mistakes yet! Not to mention ONI and the UNSC were both responsible for war crimes committed against fellow humans and of course there is that nasty business with the Mona Lisa and the flood experiments. It would be bad### if there was an Elite which was an anti-ONI character who knew what they were doing and was sabotaging their work. For example, he could tell them to evacuate Trevelyan and then blow it up like Jul did to Reqieum.

Where, what, when and how do you figure they retconned the Arbiter? In the novels he barely appears, and when he does, he’s all for peace with humanity.

This is what unreliable narrator means. Seeing as the book is taken almost entirely from the human perspective, of course they’ll be portrayed as the victims in the war. That doesn’t magically assuage them of their war crimes at all, as Jul is so ready to attest to. Jul is basically that anti-ONI Elite you’re asking for, and he fully recognizes how corrupt we are; that’s the entire reason he’s waging war on us.
