Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Regardless which Halo is being made as far as I’m concerned it will be make or break for me and that goes for the Xbox 1 as well!

That to.

I would love to see Elites return as being playable in MP. Maybe even Brutes could be playable.

People had hoped that Brutes would be available in Halo 3, it didn’t happen. Then in Reach. It is doubtful at this point.

Who knows maybe 343 will pleasantly surprise us for a change.

I’m sure they will.

hey ya haven’t seen me in awhile have ya?, so what did I miss?.

and yeah it has ben pretty hard for people to try and make a machinima without elites.

I think thats why Jon is only going to finish the Arby’n’the Chief on Halo Reach.

Brutes?Unlikely,I do not think they would be suitable as the lower ranks do not possess energy shielding and would make gameplay unfair. But who knows, perhaps 343i may alter that slightly.

I would like energy daggers to be available to Sangheili when we run out of ammo in multiplayer, taking 3 hits to kill a spartan but having only the energy for 3 strikes. That’d be so sick. This should balance the larger kill box issue if health bars are not available in Halo Xbox One,i.e. Halo 5.

Brutes have shields in ODST.

As for the energy daggers… that wouldn’t make much sense. If it takes 3 hits to kill a spartan, could the spartan not just double pummel us?

Yeah, Brute armor doesnt have to come all the way off for gameplay. Maybe it could spark and sputter like it did when it was damaged for when shields are down.

Sorry,I did not play Halo 3 ODST,and I would like to state that the dagger would be able to lunge thus having advantage and also being able to attack in very quick succession.

It might be a little late to add my voice to the cause over 300 pages in but here I am!

I’m not much of a Dino myself but I got a mate that I don’t see as much on Halo anymore because of this issue. He doesn’t give a dam about the classic feel and all that other stuff that people criticize about Halo 4 it’s just the lack of Elites that’s his problem.

Personally I don’t want them to just be added in as just a simulation like the Flood. I wouldn’t be contempt with that, the Spartan IVs are real characters with their own careers so Elite players should have the same sense of identity.

If Spartan ops makes a return I want the option to play as an Elite during missions. That’d be so much fun. Give me gold paint job and a fuel rod and I’ll commence my revenge.

Besides having them as cannon will be another reason for the Arbiter to make his return.

Obviously I want the Elites we play as to look like the ones from the original trilogy. The Halo 4 ones are designed to be ugly monstrous bad guys that we want to kill not fight side by side with, which isn’t a bad thing because that’s what they are. Bad guys. But as you know these ugly things aren’t Arbiter’s Elites.

If you remember. When we first saw the drastic change for the Elites in Halo 4 some theorized that theses new Elites were altered in some way. If this were true we could have both at the same time.

Say if the Storm Elites in Halo 4 for were augmented in a way that made them bigger, uglier and meaner than a standard Elite. They could say that it’s linked to to how the the SIIIGs have that brain alteration that makes them more aggressive but it’s way stronger on Elites, it’s not a necessary story element but I think it would be cool. They would be more monster than warrior and we can already see that Halo 4’s Elites are more aggressive and not as smart as past iterations.

Arbiter along with his Elites would have the classic look. They would be the same agile, smart leaders that we’ve seen since CE so if they were on our side they would still be distinguishable and play differently.

This is my ideal situation for the Elites return but they can return any way 343 want them to as long as it brings my friend back to Halo.

It’d also be cool to see these classic Elites fight along side the SIVs as NPCs during campaign and Spartan ops. That would lead to some amazing missions.

For Shiva

Spartan Ops will most likely not return,it lacked staying power and hardly any players participated. It was costly to produce Spartan Ops for 343i,much more than designing firefight maps that would sustain more players.

If 343 needs a back story of why players can be elites in match making, can’t they just say that:

“To make a more authentic experience for training Spartans in the war games program, the opposing spartan team will be in control of elite avatars which are closer resemblance to the foes that they will face on the battlefield.”

If the war games program is a simulation then why can’t they have spartans playing as elites? And if so, maybe even Promethians and Flood battle forms…

Also, for spartan ops, couldn’t the Arbiter and his buddies (friendly killer aliens) rejoin forces with the U.N.S.C to defeat the Prometheans and their brethren?

Brute Power Armour, which all Brutes had in Halo 3, and ODST, acts similar to Energy Shields, it just falls off when the shield is drained. To work this in to multiplayer, just don’t have the armour fall off until the Brute player is dead.

Anyway, as opposed to trying to balance the game with larger hitboxes. I’d like them to just scale the character models down for Brutes and Elites to match the height of the Spartans. The multiplayer is enough of a chaotic mess without species’ traits further imbalancing the game.

Now we have Big Team Objective, Weapon Tuning, etc it really seems like 343 is listening to the community, I hope they see this thread, really hope our disgusting mandibled friends return for MP

The Elite Officer’s head had that lighting for its ‘horn’ that would deactivate once dead.I want more aesthetic touches done to the armour and I give us full customisation options.

If we’re talking about aesthetics than I want Needles strapped to the shoulders and chest plate for an armor set.

Bring the Needle rifle back as a load out option and you’ll have one bad -Yoink!- looking Elite.

So sangheili weapons, um

Needle sniper
Needle shotgun
Needle grenade
Needle lmg
Needle anti air gun

Um, I luv needles… Needles needles needles

Perhaps the needle sniper could work like this new gun where you tag the target and the gun won’t shoot unless it will hit. Or maybe it could work where you tag a target, shoot up in the air if they are behind cover and then you have to keep the reticule on the tagged enemy and the needle will track. Of course you wouldn’t have to fire up in the air if you have a direct line of sight.

It doesn’t bother me if Elites can not be added to Halo 4.

But would really like to be in Halo 5.

Invasion was a great playlist for REACH, but requires some fixes and to be evolved. Would like to see an improved evolved Invasion return in Halo 5. Spartan vs Elites.

They’ll probably bring back playable Elite models. If not the main reclaimer saga then probably a side title. A thread that’s 363 pages long about it just can’t be ignored.
