As it stands, not a huge majority of players use elites, no offence to the elite community, so its not like you’re gonna join a game where everyone is an elite, and even so, no one complained about SvE slayer or about invasion. And the elites had the height, speed and health regen advantages in reach. Their armor abilities could stay the same for the next halo game, but maybe sprint would be redundant for the elites since they are already fast, so maybe they would have evade as a constant ability, and to balance it out, thruster pack would be replaced with another ability, or removed for elites.
Edit: when i said not a large majority used elites, i didnt mean that it made adding elites irrelevant. What about machinma? And the group of people i was talking about was the group that uses elites constantly. What about people who like to change between spartans and elites every once in a while?
Also, a new idea i just picked up on. If you have spartan ops for spartans, and it adds to their overall rank and status and stuff, why not have a separate elite ops of some sort, which would have its own, elite character only, progression. You could gain exp for both your spartan and elite, but only up to a certain point, where you can only rank them up separately, in their respective ops, or even dividing their specializations. It would also draw in people to play as elites.
I am gonna guess you never played Halo during the days of 2 and 3
I still look forward to playing as an Elite in Halo 5. when they make it.
that’s part of what built the community.
@DarkStarX111
Albeit having auto health regen for Sangheili, they had larger profiles and their heads would stick out of cover making them easy targets. In custom games I have experienced this myself and this makes me an easier target,ESP. for snipers.I think this larger silhouette alone would be enough for humans and elites to be balanced.
In the upcoming Halo 3 community game night, everyone who loves elites, be an elite and show your support to the wort wort wort.
If they do let us play as Elites, then let us do it when ever we want in any game mode. And Give us more armor pieces, and Special elite ranks wouldn’t hurt either!
YEA, 343i don’t forget about the Sangheili community.
lol 1 more thank until 777

I wouldn’t mind SOME limitation. Custom Games should have a Player Model: Option with the choices “Spartans, Elites, Teams, Unchanged”.
In Matchmaking this option should ONLY be used when applicable. For instance, Invasion/SVE Slayer would generally have it set to “Teams”, MLG/Throwdown/SWAT/Snipers would likely have it set to “Spartans”, and Elite Slayer/SWAT Carbines/Dino Blasters would have it set to “Elites”. While pretty much everything else would have it set to Unchanged.

777=) Come on 343 show us some Bungie style love and pay attention this time!

I could live with this.
Eh, I really didn’t understand how it isn’t ‘canon’. If they’re saying Spartans are superior to Elites, I don’t see how since they both have shields and I’ve read somewhere that Elites are a lot older (age span around 150-250) which means more experience. Spartan II-III would make sense since they were trained at a very young age, but Spartan IV versus Elites doesn’t make too much sense, superior wise. I think they should have re-added it, since to me it makes all the sense. You could play the Elites from the rogue covenant armada we fight in Halo 4, and not the rest of the covenant that still has a truce with humanity.
In the Halo 5 teaser trailer(unofficial name and not confirmed by 343 personnel but shall be dubbed so until further notice) we see Mendicant Bias being erected from the ground.Mendicant Bias was built by the Forerunners to fight the flood but defected to the Flood and opposed its creators instead. The Forerunners developed an AI to combat Mendicant Bias and buried him but did not destroy him as his knowledge of the flood would be invaluable. In 2525 it was interrogated by humans and was discovered that most ‘Holy Relics’ on Harvest were actually humans and that the Covenant faith was but an age old mistranslation. This has the potential to undermine the Covenants’s unity, faiths and loyalties and cause complete political revolution. In Halo 5 Follower’s analysis of this teaser trailer it was explained that Mendicant Bias would only be resurrected when needed,i.e when the Flood return, hinting strongly about this in Halo 5.With Mendicant Bias now formally active we may see reform in Covenant and break-away factions defecting to side with humanity.Hence if 343 needs an appropriate cannon to include Sangheili in multiplayer I have solved it!
I fan! I fan! This was just a possible outcome I deduced.Oh well,just saying.
Anyway, perhaps the Master Chief used Mendicant Bia’s knowledge against the Covenant and transmitted the truth plus evidence to a major Covenant controlled area or to an entire fleet of ships.Mendicant Bias will help him as if you have seen in Halo 3’s terminals which contains messages to Chief,he seeks atonement for his sins by helping the spartan.
Previously announced that Steven Spielberg will be developing another Halo movie/TV series.Perhaps the main characters will be a band of Sangheili comrades hearing and seeing the transmitted message in their ship by Mendicant Bias resulting in different opinions amongst themselves. Some being loyal to the Covenant and some being inclined to defect and sprinkling some backstabbing for excitement.Being discovered by superiors and have being charged for treason.Being given the Marked Of Shame and escaping to find Mendicant Bias and the Master Chief and being hunted by the Covenant to prevent spreading the message and inducing heracy in more of the Covenant.
Well these are some possibilities and speculation I have made and hope will come true.If what I say about the new Halo show is true then Sangheili will be put back under the public spotlight.
The glyph on the Luminary was mistaken as ‘reclamation’ when it truly meant ‘Reclaimer’ hence the holy relics being mistaken as humans.
With some luck they will include Elites in matchmakeing,a ndf the fan-base can have its variety back.
Microsoft has dropped a lot of the restrictions on Xbox One=) I still don’t trust them but I’m no longer dead set on pre-ordering the ps4. Now Xbox it is time to show me what you can do that will make gaming better rather than just not ruining it and for the love of (insert deity) fix Halo!!!
I would very much like to see halo 5 with elites in multiplayer.
Just a quick poll. How many of you play Reach instead of 4 for any reason it may be.
> Just a quick poll. How many of you play Reach instead of 4 for any reason it may be.
I use to, but when you have played Reach for the longest time and know the flaws of the game, you get pretty much sick of it.
> Just a quick poll. How many of you play Reach instead of 4 for any reason it may be.
No. I was just as insulted by the restrictions Elites had in Halo Reach as I was by their complete removal from Halo 4. I see pretty much no difference as I spend 99% of my time in MM anyway.
If I were to go back and play something for the sake of Elites, it would be Halo 3.
