Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

Invasion would be played the same way it was in Halo Reach. Just because the Elites and Spartans would have the same traits, size, and balanced hitboxes, doesn’t mean Invasion wouldn’t work.

Anyway, I really hope they return and fully playable by choice. Mindlessly removing features that aren’t bad for the game is pointless. But I’d have to say since Reach and Halo 4? A lot of missteps were made that need to be taken back.

I agree, but I believe they made Sangheili kill boxes bigger due to them being larger naturally than humans and doing so would be realistic.I think in Halo 3 they had the same kill boxes so when you shot their necks somewhere the bullet would pass through as if it were intangible.Opting for sleeker, lower profile armor, but maintaining ornamentalism and having same hit boxes as their size for it to be realistic in Halo 5 if they are playable is a tall order.Due to the nature of higher ranking armor for Sangheili being much more prominent and noticeable hence creating a much larger profile.Elites in Halo 4 had much smaller profiles than their Reach counterparts with their sleeker armor.I support this movement but I want my design sophistication from Reach without increasing the silhouette to much while maintaining appropriate kill boxes. So basically a fusion armor between Reach and Halo 4.

Oh? We’ve been moved? I was under the impression that this thread was about New Trilogy matchmaking, not a particular game, and as such should be in General Discussion. Oh, well. I can’t complain.

Just to note, it seems unlikely that 343i will go back against their multi-player canon and, as such, is unlikely to go against the use of Infinity simulations. Due to this, Sangheili multi-player models can be re-sized with little repercussions canon-wise.

If we get the Elites in the next installment they may stay

It has been moved because Halo 5 represents the next game in the new trilogy.

The original purpose of the Thread was just for Halo 4, so it kind of makes sense that now the purpose aught to be Halo 5.

I didn’t notice either at first which led to a fiasco but that is a long story.

Well if Sangheili aren’t re-implemented into multiplayer for Halo 5 then I can make the assumption that we have been ignored all along. I personally think that Sangheili should be coded into forge island for now so Elite players can have something rather than nothing. It might also allow us to send feedback to 343 for their re-implementation. Simply coding them into one map would not take all their time and would allow them to make some progress on Halo 5 by setting a sort of “beta” for Elites.

Matchmaking I’m not sure about.

But Forge and Customs?

Elites: 2014.

Make it happen 343 Industries.

Why not matchmaking?

Sure, why not?

Nothing gave me more joy than watching staff captain and colonel grade 2 dinosaurs attempting to play Halo 3.

Wat? This thread got moved? I guess all of our complaints and hopes got us here. JOY! I hope that more members will here our faint cry soon.

if only we had rooster teeth to support us then we have a bigger chance for elites in halo 5

Make that a Brigadier here

Yeah 343 love Rooster Teeth, that’s why they made Grifball an official gametype and got rid of Assault. A good move by the way.

Even without rooster teeth it would be incredibly foolish if 343 ignored us again! If they do I will find some amusement in watching Halo 5 die even faster than Halo 4 and subsequently the xbox 1.

> Why not matchmaking?

I understand Elites hitboxes were the same in Halo 2 and 3, but after Halo 4 I’m not sure if 343 could do that and end make one species better than the other.

However, if I am proved wrong then I have no problem with it.

Best compromise would be to make a big and small model that’s toggleable, restricted possibly by gametypes.

Anyone see the theory that the Halo 5 trailer is taking place on one of the moons of Sangheilios? It could explain why the Chief is trying to mask his appearance, and if it is then I would be very surprised if we didn’t see any elites in MP.

I’m hoping they will have the elites return in a Halo 3 way in multiplayer. Even though sizing them down to Spartan size is not canon, I think I’d accept that.

I think more realistically with 343s War Games thing, they probably will be implemented as they are in Reach. I suppose that is at least something.
