No…

So…,do we continue to use this thread? In Darth Dachilla’s link, that discussion has a monitor asking us to use another existing thread for Sangheilis. If this is so,can someone hyperlink this?

Here’s what I think we should do, remain calm and be civil about the sangheili topic on this thread. This has been holding out to be strong for such a long while that it is nearly impossible to get rid of it. If your going to continue supporting this place, don’t try acting all high and mighty and even stupid because of a mods actions. So yeah, we came this far, lets continue on this topic.
We can just keep going in this thread and begin to discuss Elites in Halo 5 while continuing to speak about them within Halo 4. Supposedly to add Elites into multiplayer they have to be coded into each map, if they just add them to one map that’ll be much better then not adding them at all.
For Halo 5 I hope they bring back Elites in fully like they were in Halo 3. If they don’t add Elites at all then I will be greatly disappointed. Elites were a part of Halo since the beginning, to see them removed from multiplayer seemed like a great move a way from Halo’s roots, the Elites helped to feel like multiplayer was in the same universe as the campaign. They helped provide a unique experience called Halo.
@Darth Dachilla
The monitors are just doing their job. This thread is mighty and strong on its own. Rather then split people apart keep them all together, for then our minds will work together like a powerful machine of war far more powerful then we could be apart. Then perhaps the Elites will make their great return.

If this is true than the weapon and armour skin models that are coming out as DLC would need to be coded in to each map as well. Since they are reskinned, the lighting and environment effects on those skins would need to be progammed in. Since they don’t, that means a DLC player model is entirely possible as well.

The story for Elites being added in late (for in game canon) could be that the Infinity engineering crew were working on adding Elites in to help Spartans train against the threat of the Remnant lead by Jul and the fanatics lead by Telcam. Though it came in late it had begun use since they will likely meet them in battle in the future.
I know I may be slightly out of context here, but in Part 8 of Rise Of The Spartans machinima,if you have watched,as the Elites enter the Halo ring control room to begin the great journey into the divine beyond, they face heavy spartan resistance but mows them down. However,an army of all white Sangheili appear and challenge the Covenant armada, looking similar to B.O.Bs,and earlier in this series they were mentioned as a heretical group dismissed as a rumor with the name of The White Lance.Perhaps something similar in resemblance to this canonically to put Sangheili in multiplayer back on the map.
Oh,yes,if Sangheili will be included let’s hope we can have separate colour combos for Spartans and Sangheili. As I remember I had to change my colors constantly as 1 colour combo would control the colors for both player models.
Man I hope 343 brings us back into MM again. So tired of being a spartan all the time. It’s like there’s no individuality when fighting in a match. I wonder If we will have our wrist blades again?
I hope the Sangheli become a noble race again, there portrayal in Halo 4 was horrible. They were de-evolved, made into barbarians, what happened to the race we saw in Halo 3?

I believe these are the leftover fanatical elites from the covenant that are now called the storm instead. I’m not sure but I think that’s what the covenant is called now.

They were called the Covenant Remnant, storm was taken from the name of the plasma rifle. They were made up of Elites who still “believed” that the Forerunners were Gods. Jul Mdama was the leader of this faction, after all he had seen since Glassland he knew the Forerunners were not Gods, but wanted revenge against the Humans.
Still the design of the elites in Halo 4 compared to Halo 3 or Halo 2 was awful, it wasn’t just the artistic way they were made. Look at the images in Halo 2 and 3 they were seen as a noble warrior race, now they look like savages.
They had promise to be great allies with Humanity after Halo 3, instead they were made sure by ONI that they stay powerless and in conflict with each other. Despite this due to ONI’s action they have become a greater threat thanks to Jul. Now imagine what will happen when ONI’s treacherous actions are discovered by all Elites? They will now all hate Humanity for the countless deaths caused by Humans, even the Arbiter would see this as dishonorable and join these elites.
In Halo 4 Elites are portrayed like Brutes. They aren’t remotely intelligent, and they try to win by sheer force of strength as opposed to strategy and tactics. It’s pretty pathetic to be honest.
In Halo CE and 2 especially, they looked elegant, agile, and intelligent.
In Halo 4… It’s not even just how they look but how they act in-game. It’s totally wrong. They don’t even SOUND like Elites anymore when they speak.
