Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

The reintroduction of some old Sangheili ranks like Councillor & Honour Guardsmen would certainly be a nice blast from the past.Perhaps a slight change/addition to a little like the combat doctrine of Halo CE/CEA.We need greater sophistication in new Sangheili armours.Greatest hopes that 343i will notice this discussion and take our suggestions seriously into consideration.Do they not think a little variety in matchmaking would add spice to the game?

And definitely an Arbiter classed Elite armour. That scaly texture is just perfect and is sure to satisfy the desire of some Sangheili fans.Perhaps sold as a code with future legendary and/or limited editions. This will satisfy the fans and increase profit for 343i.Frank O Connor must seriously think about the marketing potential Sangheili armours could bring as I have stated above.Even a simple gesture can rack up perhaps what would be major profit.Maybe even an exclusive Mark Of Shame Emblem would drive fans crazy.

Besides a purely canonical approach to as why Sangheilis cannot be played in matchmaking, another possibility is that designers have spent too much time designing spartan armours. There are a significantly greater amounts of armour in Halo 4 than they did in Reach. This does demonstrate dedication. However, armours in Reach were in my opinion more appealing albeit there being less variety.343i needs to know its not always quantity of armour, but quality. If they can churn out this many armour permutations so quickly,I cannot wait to see what they could come up with if they take their time to think and conceptualise well.

Umm…I am a huge Sangheili fan myself since Halo 2 but those Scaly body add on’s on their body? Not something I like whatsoever. It looks weird, it looks out of place, I just like the Elite’s I know from Sangheilios to b e more of the smooth skinned elites I have grown up to love upon.

I think he meant the scaly texture of the Arbiter’s armor.

yes please bring back the elites I kind of want to play as my normal cute little / minor elite  and yes my elite likes cookies yay!

yeah the minors were adorable but the halo 3 elites were the cutest.

Anyone seen rise of the spartans? They had a heretical elite minor dubbed ‘Fido’.Quite adorable as they used the camera angles which exposed the eyes.Highly reconmmended and very professional Machinima.

Agreed,I do prefer the smoother surface of Sangheili armours of old.Sleek and elegant. But who’s to say no one likes the arbiter armour. It is quite prestigious and high ranked, and I am sure some people would love it.Field Marshall is the best.We need something like that, aggresive styling, large exposed mandibles[like the Field Marshall’s,personal like for the exposed mandibles],elegant, lighting within armour, and importantly a tad scent of avant-garde which will still be reminiscent of Reach’s majestic elite armours and maintain smooth and symmetrical design surfaces.

Halo 4’s elite armours showed very angular designs, with the Zealots’s helmet utilising very geometrical & sharp edges. We need more natural shapes and curvatures in the armour like the Zealot’s.Headgear should be prominent and state rank utilising ornamentally.I personally want the reformation of the shattered covenant armada following the military doctrine with Reach.Unfortunaely, the stroyline in the Reclaimer Saga and maybe even the entire Halo Trilogy may need great alteration and the designers may have a tough time coming up with a realistic story line in which the circumstance of the Covenant Remnant would cause a reformation as the smooth curvature of the Sangheili armours of Reach is like so as the Covenant were still a proper military force with a ruling government[the Prophets].Does one see my point? We may need to stick with what Sangheili armours 343i gives us in Halo 5 if elites are playable due to the reasons stated above.

Does anybody else miss when the Zealots were the equivalents to the unsc officers, and not religious spec ops? You know, like the trilogy days.

Yeah.

I still see Zealots as the golden, sword carrying, charge at you and tear you in half kind of elites that they used to be. The biggest difference is the lack of gold on modern Elites.

http://browse.deviantart.com/art/Armor-is-comfortable-98084886 this is too cute!

What I used to like about zealots was that they could command ships or command troops on the ground unlike most human captains, looking at you Keyes.

Zealots were mainly a religious rank for the most fanatical of the covenant Elites. Even when the prophets were taken out some of the more fanatical stayed in the belief of the forerunners as gods. This was seen by Telcam and his following. Maybe we’ll be able to see new ranks for the Elites, to replace the zealots, these ranks will belong to extremely experienced Elites most likely. We could maybe see these high ranking Elites kill multiple Spartan if needed in close quarters.

that is if the Spartan ivs are populated enough as an army.

of course I would like to see some new Elite Armor to.

one thing that shunned me away from halo 4 was no playable elites which was a kick in the groin for me because i loved elites ever since halo 2 and it was a blast playing as them and getting hated on by spartan fanboys which made killing them even more fun and makes them angry when i obliterate them

Being new to this tread,I enquire,do many people have a downer on Sangheili players aor player models?

*or.
And ever since Bungie took away B.O.Bs,I have been rather disappointed as they were such a joy to find and a pleasure to assassinate.I remember my first time seeing one on Tip Of The Spear at the outskirts of the Spire near when the Falcon crashed.I totally freaked out, a gold ranger brandishing a Fuel Rod Gun.Anybody miss does days?
