yeah I agree, but i`ve heard that the weekly update wont be adding anything new but clarifying things (although that could mean the covenant involvement in h4).

The covenant have already been confirmed to be in Halo 4, although they’re the least of our worries!

but what we sangheili players are worried is if we can play as elites in h4

“Covenant” could refer to anything these days, there are so many splintered factions now. It could mean the Prophets return and guide the Brutes in an attack, it could mean Jackal Pirates cause some mischief for the Chief. It could just mean Engineers will play some kind of role.
And even then, Covenant appearances have only been confirmed for Single Player, which isn’t in any way the point of this thread, there could be no Elite appearances throughout the story of the entire Reclaimer saga for all I care so long as I can still be one in Multiplayer…

I would be fine with elites multiplayer as long as gameplay wise, they are identical. The problem with elites in Halo 2/3 is that the different models between spartans and elites gave way to different hitboxes, which proved problematic in multiplayer. For example, elites in Halo 3 were a pain to kill, especially in SWAT because it was harder to shoot their head from certain angles. If 343i can make elites and spartans completely equal so there isn’t advantages or disadvantages to being a spartan or elite, then I’m fine with it.
We mustn’t give up, my brothers. The bulletin was… unsatisfactory, but this is no matter. 343i must have heard our voices by now. Victory may be a long way off. However, we must fight on; we are Sangheili, macto cognatus, the backbone of Halo itself, and we will NOT be buried!

They just have their topics for the bulletins planned sometime in advance.
I hope they hear us with this one. I want to be able to play as a dino outside of invasion.
Please let us know, 343. Will we be able to play as an elite in Halo 4? You’d think that they would know the amount of players that have their preferred species set to elite in Reach so that they must have them in Halo 4.
This is like the one piece of info holding me back from making a pre-order.

But we must continue to fight! We need the Elites! The sake of entire clans rest on the feature, and so does my hype for Halo 4.
We would like the Elites to be brought back in Halo 4 with <mark>complete equality to spartans</mark>. This means that the <mark>elites should have equal stats, customisation and presence in matchmaking to spartans.</mark>

I only want the elites if they play a major role in Halo 4. If they don’t I don’t see why they should even be playable in matchmaking
