Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

I would have to say make the Storm Elite act more aggressive than that of standard Elites that are on our side. The difference between the two would have to be that the storm Elites would have to bend the rules of combat in order to gain an advantage of course. So that means if the Allies are shooting rather much more professionally and more accurate, perhaps the Storm would be wild and be firing more rapidly. I am still thinking here anyways…

yes, and there weapons can shoot a different color.

also give alied sanghili a type of gun that was made in collaboration with UNSC. and then there is the face, give the Alied elites the fearsome, but noble look, and the storm elites the always angry always vicouse look.

I am going to just simply wait and find out for myself when 343i will announce their development for the next Halo installment. Thank you all for sharing your ideas and opinions folks.

As am I.

You guys have no idea how glad I am that this thread is still going strong. Thank you, fellow Sangheili (and the Spartans), for continuing this thread and keeping it strong. I apologise for my (somewhat long) absence. Though I’m a bit sad I missed hitting the 343rd page. :frowning:

As the Remnant would have a considerably smaller force than Thel’s faction, they would have to resort to somewhat guerilla tactics. We know they have no qualms about using bombs or any form of terrorist attack. As such, I would prefer they had a more ghost-like demeanour, perhaps almost an almost skulking way of movement and fighting, making full use of Active Camouflage systems. The Remnant would (in my ideal world) attack viciously, almost desperately, though never lacking the determination to win and pride we have always seen in Sangheili, though at least trying to keep some measure of honour. I would love to see them as shadows of the former-Covenant’s might, as in Halo 4 we simply see them behaving in the same fashion as the Covenant did. Which I feel is a somewhat wasted opportunity.

Thel’s faction, however, would need to be more proud, professional. Countering the Remnants with signature Sangheili skill and superior technology. Though I don’t want Thel’s faction to hate the Remnant, nor do I want them to see themselves as superior. In an ideal world, I would prefer it if Thel’s faction saw the Remnants as equals, fighting for their belief system as his faction is. To be honest, I would just love Thel’s faction to be the same as we saw previously in Halo 2 and 3. :stuck_out_tongue:

As for armour, I would prefer the Remnant kept their armour, but a little more barbaric, perhaps incorporating cloaks? (Yes, I know) Thel’s faction, however, I would hope, use a more Halo 3-esque armour, looking similar to that piece of artwork I have shown multitude of times by Leviwastaken; a more ancient look. Though I wouldn’t particularly mind if they use the same armour models, I would just prefer Thel’s to wear a lighter colour to differentiate. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just conveying my thoughts, using the usual idealistic viewpoint. ;D

Maybe they could come out with a whole new line of hybrid weapons between Sangheili and Humans. A hybrid sword would be rather interesting. To differentiate the Elites from each other the Storm could have Forerunner hints in their armor from their experience on Requiem. Thel is smart and has begun to change some Sangheili ways to make themselves stronger and achieve a stable nation. So its very likely that he has tasked some Elite to begin to study technology and medicine, some to be able to repair their own ships and make more to be able to defend themselves again. Perhaps they could have advanced their weaponry as a way at attempting to strengthen themselves. Therefore we could see different colored weaponry firing different colored bullets to signify that. Since Thel wants to achieve a stable society from the ashes of the mighty war that has waged perhaps he finds that an open alliance with humanity will benefit them both. Thel will be able to grow Elite scientists more quickly with Human teaching and Humanity will have a much greater defence with master warriors who may be able to teach their ways to help make the Human military stronger.

Your definitely right about the Remnant. We might see them advance in technology over time to Thel’s level if they attempt to steal the technological advancements from Thel. Maybe they might have Human level tech if some stole tech when they were on the Infinity and fleed back to the Remnant fleet. As for Thel I see him using human tactics not too dishonorable but still favorable to keep from having too many deaths. So later on we might see Elites attempting to use science to turn them into the Sangheili version of Spartans.

Juggernauts as one machima put it.

The Storm would be as earlier stated more hit and run, and probably a pain to kill in general. Their insurgency with a charismatic leader like Jul would have his message spread through not only to other Sangheili worlds but to other species as well that were loyal to the faith as well as have the funding to continue it.

Like any terrorist organization that uses insurgent tactics Jul would be using tactics that we encounter today. Fear and indoctrination. HE would get a good hold on remote colonies vs the ones near Sangheilios.

But as for Sangheili based Spartans or rather Juggernauts, these warriors could be akin to perhaps the most honorable perhaps their quote would be along the lines of “Even in Death I still serve” in which their deeds were to be legendary and perhaps in combat fell but their body recovered and remade to take vengeance, they could be called something more spiritual considering the general theme of the Covenant. Perhaps something like Immortal or something. I don’t know pick a noun.

Yea, since the creation of these “juggernauts” would be under the rule of the Arbiter then we might see something like “the blades (or hands) of the Arbiter”.

I wonder what an Elite raised as a Human by Humans would be like. Maybe that’s it. Humans with the biggest hearts who saw Elites help save their entire race took in refugees of the war, some could be lost children who grew and joined the UNSC, etc. These Elites were ridiculed by some and became greatest of friends with others. We could see the emergence of a Human/Elite society on Earth.
Maybe some Elites on Sanghelios adopted human children in secret when they raided the colonies and raised them as Elites.

That’s an interesting concept. Maybe the some Elites who were starting to question the Prophets were impressed with the valor the parents fought with and took the children in secret…?

I could see Sangheili on Earth, but it would probably take more than a few years for humans to start trusting Elites that much. We know that there are Covenant refugees on Earth by 2558, but I’d say it’s mostly Grunts and Jackals, and the Elite who live there probably don’t have any sort of say in government or anything.

Or the Elites found pity for the children and might have that thought they could be saved if they were raised as Elites and not Humans. Maybe the prophets might have secretly agreed to let some Elites keep Human children since they could be used to access Forerunner stuff.

Any Elites on Earth could be put into squads filled with Spartans if they “get off the line”.

If they ddi that, that would be a sign that Elites do have sympathy which makes them more interesting.

On the subject of hybrid weapons I think the sword shouldn’t be touched because of its special meaning to the Sangheili, but hybrids of everything else would be cool.

Hopefully this will be better than Forward Unto Dawn and hopefully they won’t make the Covenant look stupid! (looking at you zealot kitten ears helmet with a purple flower on top!)

> On the subject of hybrid weapons I think the sword shouldn’t be touched because of its special meaning to the Sangheili, but hybrids of everything else would be cool.

Maybe we could see Human swords being put into action as a defense initiative against the storm Elites. Though a hybrid sword might likely mean a very close relationship to Humankind if that is so, then it might be created later on.

Well guys, Microsoft is going to make Halo a TV series for the new Xbox One, not only that it’ll possibly feature characters from the games but this may also be a chance to see some elite characters and stories developed too (hopefully not the ones that are like the ones in Spartan Ops cutscenes: slow, dull, and easily killed).

I couldn’t agree more! I remember when something like this would have blown my mind! But, when I saw this I groaned! Ever since Halo 4 and FuD I just don’t have faith in the franchise anymore, don’t get me wrong I would still be thrilled to see the franchise rescued but how things have been going lately I am just losing hope=( This is coming from someone who liked a lot of the ideas that 343 had such as loadouts, sprint, and at first Infinity which I’ve come to hate, the franchise needs to evolve but not how 343 is doing it. I am sorry if I got off topic but maybe I just needed to vent after worrying so much about my favorite franchises case and point Star Wars going to Disney and Star Wars games going to EA (shudder and whimper). I am starting to fear that this may be the end of an era and the ushering in of an age of shallow games and stories that reflect no attention to detail, lore, or the fans.

I will preface this with an apology, for I am against the idea of a halo TV series at this time…

I HIGHLY doubt we will see a Sangheili character (Or a Sangheili character that resembles the Sangheili we know and love) simply because its a TV show, a lot of people who are not familiar with halo are going to be watching it and they will simply not understand the importance, relevance, etc of the Sangheili. Its like if you watched Game of Thrones and there was an ‘other’ character, people who didn’t read the books won’t have a clue what or who they are.
Think of what critics will say, “There was a strange alien named ‘The Arbiter’ whose role was not explained and was hard to connect with, not only that but he was fighting with the humans against his own species, this kind of complex early story is confusing and badly done”.

And keep in mind Karen Travis may be working on it too, think of how terribly done the Sangheili characters would be… Its not that I’m against Sangheili characters in a Halo TV show, its that I’m against a Halo TV show at this time simply because of the host of cannon mistakes and bad writing that 343 has exhibited at this time, maybe if they waited 5 years and got their act together, but considering they have only had the franchise for 2-3 years, and so far done a horrid (in my opinion) job with the writing, I’d say this will just be a train wreck that will make the ‘outside’ world think less of halo fans and the halo series.

I don’t why they ever let Traviss touch Halo=( If worst comes to worst maybe some fan fic writers and modders can get together and make our own un-official halo, but hopefully it won’t come to that.I think I will find myself ignoring a lot of what 343 has done canon wise in Halo 4 and elsewhere. Looking at you armor that should have been mark 7.

you can say my lack of faith is disturbing due to the fact that I have none left with 343i at all. So I would recommend you start getting your fic writers and modders ready.
