Yeah, I tried that and found a few designs that looked okay, but not much. Someone designed a Tank armor model for an Elite, which looked neat although not very Elite like. Other than that it was mostly fan art of preexisting armor or screenshots.
Can someone send me a link to some good designs, because I’m not finding much on there.
i miss the adorable dinos with their cute death cries and worts, i really hope they return to being playable in halo 5.

I don’t remember them being cute but I still think the Halo 2 Elite designs were a lot more better.

343i (and bungie, for that matter) have no excuse when it comes to elite armors design. they can just “get inspiration” from fans, hell they could even hold a contest for the fans to make an armor and it’ll be featured ingame (added bonus : mad cool public relation!) and skip the imagination phase this way.
if they don’t want to make brand new ones, then at least give us the ones you have already designed in the past.
I can see them going “but most are only slight variations of already existing armors” and it’s true, but then you get tons of spartan armors that are exactly slight variations too.

I think 343 doesn’t have anything holding them back from adding Elites except the time it might take to add Elites and patching things to make other players happy.

There are people that don’t want Elites to be playable? I can’t think of any reason not to except for MLG/Ranked playlists, which this game doesn’t even have.

MLG/ranked babies wouldn’t tolerate elites in their gametypes, simply because it can give an unfair advantage (similarly to elites in swat on halo 3).
when you walk around you usually keep your crosshair at a spartan’s head height, right? well since elites are not spartans, their head is lower so the reticle wouldn’t be pointing at it’s head.
it’s an advantage and there is no way around it, unless you change the elite’s anatomy to make it look like human’s, and in this case, what’s the point of playing as ALIENS if they are clones of humans?

while I find that being a good solution. I think Elites should be like in halo 2 no complaints from that, based on what I herd. not to mention that im okay with them being only in social gametypes.
besides I don’t play ranked playlists anyway, unless I have a reason to.

that or just make the them on how they were in Halo 2 without all the stupid advantages 
Heck, I always wondered why in every game, the Elite’s never look the same.

That would never work because it would require some players to learn how to aim, and we can’t have that it is a shooter after all=)

with a few modifications to make elites playable in all but those ranked playlists, now if they go with that, I will only play ranked if I want an Armor piece.

Really? I’m surprised that you guys are so adamant about not giving ground. I really didn’t think disabling Elites in a few playlists would be such a big deal. I still have bad memories of fighting Elites in Team Swat, nearly impossible to shoot in the back of the head.
