Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> even if they have the same gametypes?

Well nobody really complained about the Elites in Halo 2 multiplayer with the spartans that much like the ones in Halo 3 so at least something was going right at the time.

> even if they have the same gametypes?

Well if it was the only way Elites could return then I’d be fine with it, but otherwise I don’t want to be hidden away in a obscure playlist like a second class citizen.

in halo reach Elite are second class citizen. I am talking about playlist for spartans and elites with ever gametype. lets face it their not going back to the good H2 and H3 days because too many people complain about Elites.

> in halo reach Elite are second class citizen. I am talking about playlist for spartans and elites with ever gametype. lets face it their not going back to the good H2 and H3 days because too many people complain about Elites.

Oh really? Cause if I remember correctly going over these last few pages and going back over to the OP of this whole topic, I see a whole bunch of people wanting these elites; including myself, wanting these awesome creatures to come back. You don’t speak for the entire community of Spartans that they don’t want elites to come back. We already have Spartans that support this idea too, because Halo 4 is just pretty bland when your only forced to play as Spartans that are only killing Spartan figures.

> in halo reach Elite are second class citizen. I am talking about playlist for spartans and elites with ever gametype. lets face it their not going back to the good H2 and H3 days because too many people complain about Elites.

So the best way to fix that is to segregate the community even more by not allowing Elites play against Spartans and visa versa? That’s dumb.

I am for Elites that why i did not buy h4 and I do not speak for all of the halo community but again nether do you.i am just listing ideas for a compromise because there are reasonable complains about Elites.

Your “compromises” will only segregate the Elite community from the Spartans even more so than what is happening already.

And if I remember the only thing a Spartan VS Spartan training match is good for is when a Spartan goes rouge. but that will never happen.

> Your “compromises” will only segregate the Elite community from the Spartans even more so than what is happening already.

hey atleast he said he supported the elites.

the only way I can see a compromise work is to make Elites have their own playlist, but mix them up in custom games.

The whole Elite’s having their own Playlist already sounds dumb enough as is. Heck, look what happened over at Reach. Got some cool looking armors and slightly better looks, the thing is we couldn’t customize our armor, and we couldn’t be played alongside the Spartans in a regular matchmaking game.

> hey atleast he said he supported the elites.

I know and I didn’t say he didn’t support them.

> the only way I can see a compromise work is to make Elites have their own playlist, but mix them up in custom games.

That is exactly what he has said already, and look at what happened in Halo Reach. The only place you can play as an Elite with Spartans on the same team is in either Custom Games or Forge. This is segregation of two communities. His “solution”/“compromise” doesn’t solve anything and will instead further segregate the two communities even more so than what already happened in Halo Reach. Don’t even get me started on Halo 4.

> Your “compromises” will only segregate the Elite community from the Spartans even more so than what is happening already.

how? there would be 2 playlist one with only spartans and one with spartans and Elites together with all gametypes.so people who complain about elites have nothing to complain about. everyone wins

Forcing players who play as Elites to only be able to play in one playlist (aka the Elite + Spartan playlist) whereas the Spartans can play in either because they’re not restricted is also segregating the two communities from each other, albeit one community (aka the Spartans) have more freedom to roam between playlists. You still have not solved the problem. There is still segregation, and this will result in dead/dying playlists when all the Spartans up and go saying “Hey I can just leave those Elites in their own playlists and play in my VIP Spartan playlist haha!”.

now your just splitting hairs.there are millions of players.for a person that will do that their 100 that will not.the only playlist that i have seen that are dead are the older halos

Millions of players? Halo 4 barely managed to hit 400,000 players at it’s peak and usually just sits way under 100,000 on average. That’s not millions.

The fact is that there will still be segregation, no matter how small, regardless of how you put it whether you think I’m splitting hairs or not, there will still be segregation.

This is what you have not yet solved, and continually fail to do so.

is that so bad? still better than halo reach and H4

Really? Cause I see elites going on back to Halo Reach sometimes because of how Halo 4 has entirely kicked them off them off the multiplayer charts. There are barely any Sangheili clans these days too cause of Halo 4. So yes, your idea and this whole thing is indeed bad.

so have elites in more gametypes is bad?

> is that so bad? still better than halo reach and H4

It’s worse than Halo 3 and Halo 2, and unlike Halo Reach your “compromise” will effectively restrict Elites to only one playlist that can play alongside other Spartans whilst Spartans can go and play in whatever Playlist they choose.

The only way I see your method working is if Halo 3’s playlists “Ranked”/“Social” is brought back and that Elites and Spartans can play together in Social, but the reason why Halo 3’s playlist were dropped because that too, funnily enough created segregation. It segregated the “casuals” from the “competitives”, and I’m sure you’ve seen casual/competitive drama on this forum before which is why I keep on stating that your “compromise” would needlessly segregate communities and create more harm than do good.

Hence you have not fixed this problem.

There still is segregation.

segregation not always a bad thing. Clans are a type of segregation so are playlist.what you say is segregation i say is more options

So if I’m an Elite player and I’m restricted to an Elite+Spartan only playlist that means I have more options?

LOL, NO.

There’d be MLG/Clan/whatever playlists, yes, but denying access simply because the player is an Elite/Spartan Casual/Competitive to any type of playlist is always a bad idea.
