Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> > Maybe along with the default melee animations, Elites could do some nice kicks or use their Energy Daggers occasionally in close combat, not necessarily during assassinations.
>
> It would give a nice new addition to melee combat. Maybe add different weapons that the Elite can use to assasinate players so you can choose an energy sword over an energy dagger.

That is assuming if your already carrying an energy sword to begin with. Personally, I think sticking to the energy dagger sounds a whole lot more better and makes some sense really.

They could have made it so some Elites from the Storm decided to join the Humans after the didact was destroyed believing him to be so almighty and finding out he was felled by Humanity. Maybe we could see some Elites finding out that master chief (mostly) single handedly destroyed the Didact and have Elites begin to treat MC as their new God believing him to be more mighty then the Didact ever was. It could of also been the few Elites who surrendered to the Infinity and were forced to fight on the frontlines as part of the agreement.

not mention Thel would be helping out against Jul.

WE NEED AN ELITE SLAYER!

> WE NEED AN ELITE SLAYER!

Anything, that can make Elites playable.
or an Eltie Slayer Playlist.

Or just make the Elite’s play along with the Spartans like in Halo 2 and 3

> WE NEED AN ELITE SLAYER!

I think a Brute vs Elite slayer would be cool but 343 supposedly can’t even handle Elites so that probably won’t happen.

You mean 343 can’t handle the brutes. No way in heck are they ever going to be in Multiplayer…which personally is fine by me.

Yeah Elties are close enough to spartan size.

You’re entitled to your opinion but personally I would like a mode where we can play as anything in the Halo universe such as grunts, jackals, marines, etc…

So as for vehicles again, locust anyone?

> So as for vehicles again, locust anyone?

No. It’s a building killer, but there is no destruction in Halo besides explosive objects. It’s not Battlefield 3, dude.
But speaking of vehicles, maybe a playlist where it’s Elite banshees against UNSC Hornets. Plasma cannons could use some more strength though.

  1. Doesn’t have to be a building killer in the fps games, and where did I mention I wanted battlefield 3 in this game

  2. I like the idea of that playlist

  3. Agreed on plasma cannons

I can imagine the Locust being something that can be used in the Campaign at some point in Halo 5 or whenever…How bout bringing back that Halo 2 vehicle, Specter?

Wanted it back ever since it was missing in halo 3

For that playlist you could have a lich for one base and a vulture for the other base. If that doesn’t work then aircraft can just be deployed from some sort of new super vehicle carriers, or just give a ship hanger for each side.

I havent yet bought any DLC´s to Halo 4 but if 343I is really making DLC that includes Elites as playable im gonna go Shut up and take my money mode. But I really hope friendly Elites & Grunts makes their appereance in Halo 5.

Heh, I don’t think any of us has seen any friendly grunts since Halo 2. Be alot more cooler if they were to speak English again though.

I’ve always wondered what Halo could be if they created an alternative invasion mode that’s not too dissimilar to Gears Of War’s Horde mode, but in Halo the COG soldiers would be Spartans and the Locusts various forces of the Covenant that goes up in difficulty as the waves progress.

Either team can have human players on it (up to a total of 4 for each), and would play much like Firefight except there would be two rounds with one phase each. Once the Spartan team is overrun from the Covenant horde, roles are reversed. End game metadata dictates which team wins by factoring in how long each of the Spartan teams lasted for in their respective rounds and how many Covenant they killed as well as the score that they got for the kills. Higher ranked Grunts, Elites, etc, net higher scores for the defending team.

In game the spawn points for the Covenant players are stationary Phantoms. The plasma cannons underneath Phantoms are designed to deal a lot of damage to prevent spawnkilling. Spawn points for the Spartan players are Pelicans situated at the other end of the map guarded by two other Pelicans also preventing spawnkilling.

The design of the map forces the the two teams to converge at the center with strong points that favor the Spartans so that they have a decent defense against the ever oncoming horde of Covenant.

Covenant players will be able to use an endless supply of low ranked Grunts, but higher tiers of Covenant military (such as high ranking Elites or Hunters or even vehicles that may be piloted by Grunts and Elites) require more “points” to be used. For their efforts, Spartans receive dropped-in weapons and vehicles as well as the occasional health kit.

I like the idea. Minor Elites could be the standard equal to Spartans. The grunts would basically go in to die by suicide bombing the Spartans. The points could be spent by Spartans to increase or replace defences. If a lich is deployed then the Spartans could buy a heavy anti air turret.
