That’s what inspired alot of hate in Halo 2 and 3. In Halo 2 and 3, it was:
Spartan A kills Spartan B = Skill
Elite A kills Elite B = Loltheyarenoobs no skill, just luck
Spartan A kills Elite B = Unsurprising, he’s an Elite, must mean he sucks
Elite A kills Spartan B = WTF u cheating SoB you rely on Elites 2 win, u suck noob!
Not only that, this is in a situation where player (A) is the SAME PLAYER in a different skin, player (b) is also the same player. The truth is, Player A was just better, and unless it was Spartan v Spartan, player B had to rage and blame everything on non-factors.
Seriously. If it’s not player model, they are just gonna complain about what weapon you used, your map positioning (I’ve been called a camper for moving around the map before). Being a tryhard (Which I was accused of when I got Tool of Destruction Plasma Pistol once). Etc.
People will complain, heck, losing DMR vs DMR battles they have to complain about how it was all Bloom’s fault, or they got lucky, or they “saw me first” so it wasn’t fair.

Thats true. It seems the halo community will find anything to complain about. heck my brothers complaint when he loses is that they were hacking… But anyway yeah, people will complain about the elites, or anything no matter what happens.
> Oops…internet disconnected me twice while trying to post that. I wonder if elites will be in the main story or not…
The reclaimer trilogy will be incredibly boring if the covenant are cut out of the Halo universe. In fact, one of the things i’m most excited about is seeing how 343 handles the covie’s from a narrative standpoint. How do the different cultures function now that the Covenant has dissolved? Can they even function? What’s their relationship with humanity? Do some of them still believe in the Great Journey? How will this effect Master Chief while he faces whatever the “new threat” is?
Without the Covenant (most importantly, the Elites) the story will be free of external, and third party conflicts. It’s what the Walking Dead would be like if Rick and co. never had to worry about other groups. Just zombies. Boring, boring, boring.
All that said, I don’t want to see elites in MP though. It just wouldn’t seem right. I know that MP has never fit into cannon blah blah blah blah. But it just doesn’t feel right. It feels like the series has progressed waaaaaay past spartans fighting elites. Personal preference maybe? Probably seeing as how i’ve never been a big dino in MP fan .
Besides the fact that I like playing with dinos and seeing them in the mix in MP, the noises they make are hilarious. I really hope they come back in H4 for use in every playlist. That’s just another thing Reach didn’t do right.

Unfortunately, we are a part of a community where most people do not like elites because they are the minority in MM (Halo 2 and 3). A spartan supremacist community is hostile to the relative few elite players because some of them might actually be good and play as elites. Rediculous.

Indeed, I have been verbally “assaulted” for being a Elite even booted from random custom games and betrayed in MM. But you know what, I kept being a Elite and was proud! It was even more satisfying when I won. Hail Sanghelios!
Yeah, I get booted from customs a lot, but that is no matter. Elites still have a voice in the community no matter what Spartans say, and no matter what happens, we must be proud to be honorable Sangheili.
By the way, I’m curious. How many of you have run into Elite racism? I’ve gotten kicked and stuff, but I’ve never had anyone be openly racist.

Well, as I’ve muted everyone, I can’t help you with your question. Blarg or Wort, which one is the elite favorite?
I’ve been playing as a Sangheili ever since it was possible. To be honest, it would be very disappointing to see my preferred species be excluded from Halo 4.
So, despite the potential “impracticality” of having Sangheili in multiplayer, I still hope to see their return.

I thought you were “resting eternally” and hate everything that Sangheili clans have become? Why support the cause? Not to be threatening or anything, but that’s the last we heard from you.

My disassociation with elite clans has nothing to do with my appreciation of the Sangheili species.
I have a poll on defending Elite equivalence. Just search for ‘Halo 4 Multiplayer - Elites’ and you should find it. I don’t normally advertise threads, but I think we should gather all help we can get and make our voiced heard. 343 should work to bring joy to all Halo fans, not just the majority.
I’m a SPARTAN fan. Always have been, always will be. It’s quite typical, really. But my experience in Halo games with Elites is remarkable. It gave that ‘Halo’ feel. It wasn’t just humans fighting humans. Isn’t that what Halo’s about? Discovering new races, worlds, and other mysteries? I’ve gone back to playing Halo 3 more than Halo: Reach. It brings back memories. And I’ve recently discovered that I completely rock at Halo. Just not at Reach.
For 343i to forget about the Sangheili-loving community that Bungie had brought to Halo, and a success it was, would be to fail a community, not a “few unhappy fans”, and failing as a company, eradicating what made Halo ‘Halo’. I used be pro-SPARTAN, shoving SPARTAN successes in my Elite-loving friends’ faces. Now, I miss them so. I’ve only one thing left to say… wort wort -Yoink!-ing wort.
