Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

> > Damn this thread is still here? I’m impressed. I find it interesting that 343 wants to keep a back story behind MM and its focusing more on the UNSC’s side of the story, but whats their excuse on playing as Flood? Because there is none that I can see.
>
> Hell, it be a miracle if they even managed to have players play as Elites again these days. Or better yet make an Arbiter campaign like Bungie did for Halo 2. The UNSC surely needs a break from the main spotlight…

We can dream, can’t we? Because if Halo 5 is human-centered, then I’ll be pissed.

They do know. That’s the thing that upsets me most. They need to recognise us, to acknowledge our existence, to acknowledge our views and needs. Which don’t seem to be done as of late. :frowning:

If we do end up with another human-centric game I will be quite upset. I want a deep game, not simply the story of John. Though I do seem to have a minority view. :stuck_out_tongue:

Everyone deserves a second chance. 343 is getting one. I just hope that they give us Elites and Invasion back. Maybe a new gametype with Scarabs.

With Bungie rising up again from its nap 343 has to Give its all for Halo 5.

And if they like or not they’re gonna have to use what bungie gave them in terms of gameplay and so forth.

This even includes the Sangheili sector of the Halo Franchise. (And of course Custom Games).

And if that doesn’t happen in Halo 5, where it could be dubbed the “perfect” game by gamers, there might not be a Halo 6.

I actually made a thread about this before Halo 4 was out, link https://forums.halowaypoint.com/yaf_postst116951_Halo-4-why-flood-but-no-Elites-in-multiplayer.aspx

I don’t thinkt he scarabs are possible, but we can have another vehicle.

Instead, we heard “Elites won’t be returning due to MP canon” (something along those lines, anyway). No emotion, no “we’re sorry to announce”, no anything. I know this will dampen the mood somewhat, but it had just occurred to me that I should should show it to you guys.
>
> ^Totally this. We’re with you on this. I am totally with you on 343 being the parent figure; I would feel much more comforted if we get an explanation. Anyway, now with Halsey alongside Jul, this does open doors for him since he is now allied with a very vengeful doctor and having one of the keys to Forerunner armory(?). Any ideas on what will be their next move?
>
> And Halsey’s arm wasn’t dead, it was just missing in action :stuck_out_tongue:

Well now Jul has Halsey, an expert on everything Forerunner and possibly direct Forerunner backing so logically the advantage Humanity has in Infinity will probably be lessened. I would like it if this made Humanity stop being such yoinks to the Arbiter and the rest of Sanghielos and we saw the Arbiter and his men come to the aid of Humanity with a CSO Supercarrier. It would also be nice to see joint operations from either the Infinity or the Supercarrier.

Why? Why does 343 have to compete with Bungie? If I’m interested in both games, I’ll buy both. I don’t want to see Halo compete with Destiny. I don’t see why Halo needs to compete with Destiny. Halo 5 should be what 343 makes it be. It shouldn’t compete with Bungie. Bungie and 343 can move on with their lives. The fans should too.

Why? Man how do I explain this.
its not really about Destiny at all.

And its not Halo vs Destiny either.

Its 343I being more or less shadowed by their parent, or older brother.

Truth is, Bungie laid the foundation of Halo when it was first created and added onto it. And we got pretty awesome results yes?
Also like this discussion is about, the Sangheili alright? If 343 doesn’t learn from its mistakes from Halo 4 and as you said “Halo 5 should be what 343 makes it to be” what then?

The way I see it, and you can disagree all you want but how I see it is that;

With Bungie back on its own trail, people will remember what they did for the gamer, having done so much for all the minorities and what made Halo, well Halo! 343 knowing that people had a respect for bungie and hypothetically speaking mess up Halo 5 (God forbid), would lose a lot more to Bungie.

thus that competition between the two is somewhat a necessary evil. In a way it would serve as Motivation to 343 Industries. They may not get everything right, but they sure as hell can try, and build upon what they were given by Bungie.

And some people don’t wanna move on and others have and some that have completely ditched the Halo series.

Elites always gave to me a unique Halo experience when they were playable. I am basically forced within most games to play as a character that looks like a human. The fact is Halo gave me the experience of actually being something different while being a great game. I miss that difference, if they were playable in Halo 4, it would make the experience for myself so much greater.

To please all the minorities is to please the majority.

I see where you are coming from but I disagree. A healthy amount of competition encourages excellence and it cuts both ways. Now Destiny and Halo will probably be better games because while both are great companies with a lot of potential 343 and Bungie know that if they screw over their fans, than those fans have another option.

I have to Agree. MP isn’t special with just spartans. we need elites for Halo 5.

On the Majestic Map Pack.

It looks pretty -Yoink!- cool, I’m not gonna lie.

What bothers me is that on the map named “LandFall” Which is a simulation of the Covenant attacking the world of Tribute or Tribune or whatever!

In the ViDoc they stated it was after a “Historical” battle in which some Spartan team (probably IIIs) gave their lives.

Now what bothers me when they stated that was how can it be historical (Despite being a simulation) when its only Spartans vs Spartan? Does this bothers only me or are there others out there that feel the same about “Land Fall?”

It’s all a just a virtual simulator dude, your over thinking about it. After all, it’s just a mutliplayer map, nothing more to think about.

eh Fair enough.

So how many more years till Halo 5?

I still remember the rumors floating around about The Arbiter being seen maybe in the future of Spartan Ops. That would be an exciting twist. But non-the-less 343 Industries I believe they stated how Halo 5 will be based on the Elite race. But things can change even at the last minute. :frowning:

I don’t think so, but it would seem intresting., sense they said thel was a deplomate for most of Halo 4’s story so unless Spartan Ops season 2 includes Thel’s Elites then we can expect a halo 5 thing going.

Still a possibility, especially with season 2 looming about.

I think I just cried a little. Thank you for such a beautiful post. <3
