Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

So…Who is wanting to get kidnapped by a Lich again in next week’s Spartan Ops?

Not me, unless I can nab another Plasma Cannon to steal.

It’s not that they can’t do it, they can, it is just the things needed to be done to make it happen is quite extensive.

A person who can do that kind of stuff only have the ability to do it offline, not online, doing it online is a completely different story.

you can do it online in some games like l4d2 where there is 8 survivors instead of 4 and tf2’s saxton hale mode but your playing on a console which has very limited modding capabilities compared to a PC so its really hard to do

Forgive me I should have worded my post differently. It wouldn’t take that long to physically add in the skeletons, meshes, and textures for Eites but it would possibly take longer for everything else, but it is still possible and wouldn’t take that long. I would also point out that you most likely do not know how 343’s networking codes work either! Trying not to be rude as well, but please do not attack my point of view unless you do it without a condescending tone.

I’d rather they take their time to put in Elites then end up with a bunch of glitches, or add them immediatly and add patches over time to fix any problems with them.

indeed programming is not an easy task, neither is fixing others.

Same here! if they had put quality over time in the overall making of Halo 4 then maybe we wouldn’t be having this conversation.

Buuut they didn’t, instead they went for quantity over quality and its biting them in the rear.

If I had to wait another year for Halo 4 to come out to be as close to “perfect” as it could have been, h3ll yeah I’d wait!

still I think we should add Elites in the next halo games.

Actually it is neither of those, what they were focusing on instead is the whole AI functions and such for the elite’s, not the multiplayer functions of it. I have to say the AI is likely running smoothly and such and giving us a pain in the -Yoink- to kill them. You still talking out of your anger again?

Indeed, now I think we still need to have Elites be playable in Halo 5, so does anyone have another way to make them playable to?

I know, hopefully for the next Halo game they take their time and do it right!

Not really out of anger on that one Kaine.

Really? Didn’t know it was all about AI functions and movements, that is news to me.

I think we may need a change of subject, we seem to be getting a little conflicted over this. Blaming 343 is all well and good, but it doesn’t really get us anywhere really. Yes, they’ve taken out our Sangheili, but I’m sure it was for good reason, at the time. I assume, anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

They will have focused on AI functions after the choice to remove the Sangheili was made, I would have thought. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, I’m inclined to go along with Reptile, do we have any other ideas? I’m still stuck for any more. :frowning:

Captain Lasky recognizes that his forces are beginning to thin out too much. In a strategic move he invites Thel to move a ship to Requiem to help with fighting the enemy forces. Lasky promises Thel that they will share technological advances after the battle, but under the circumstance that Thel makes a treaty with Earth in which Thel and the Humans begin the new Covenant.

Nice idea, and it would be plausible before we learned of the Mantle, and of Humanity’s “destiny” as a species. They won’t create a new Covenant, but I can see the UNSC requesting help.

A way your idea could be put into practise could be; (speculating from the trailer for Ep 10 of SpOps) Jul successfully reawakens (or finds) the Didact after his ordeal in the campaign. Lasky and the UNSC, after countless fruitless battles against his forces, and after they swallow their pride, (ONI allowing, of course) requests the help of Sanghelios. Their “alliance” still holding some weight with the forces of both peoples. Sanghelios, specifically Thel’s faction, sends help, returning the favour (or in remembrance) of Infinity’s assistance in the closing stages of the Sangheili Civil War.

Plausible? Perhaps. Idealistic? Yes. I’d love to see this happen, but I can’t see it, really. :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! The Didact was destroyed in the main campaign, but seen throughout the terminal videos he was conducting tests on himself to be immune to the flood. That must have been his attempt at becoming part of the digital world, and therefore eternal. Though Jul may have activated something else with the switch in the EP. 10 trailer it may have also brought the Didact back in some way, which would put the Infinity into a significant enough threat to ask for Thel’s assistance. Thel would also be forced to help since he would be destroyed by the didact since he and his followers would not bow to the Didact. Therefore both sides would be forced to act upon a truce to combat the revived massive threat.

He’s not dead. I’m sure of that. This is the first of a new trilogy, to kill off the main villain would be a bit strange. They left it open for some debate though, and I’ve seen quite a few theories about his survival. Such as his fall into the “Slipspace event” below the Composer, which could have brought him elsewhere (His latest mutation made him immune to the Composer, IIRC, or at least stopped the Composer from working on his form :P). So I guess it’s up for debate.

The Didact’s return would definitely call for Humanity calling fro help from other species, but I can’t see the UNSC swallowing their pride, nor can I see 343 wanting to have another species being “saviours”, really.

For me, the best (or most idealistic) way for the Reclaimer Trilogy to end would be in an ME3-type way (not the ending though xD). All the known species work together to fight the Didact, or, if they gain a larger role at a later date, the Precursors, and perhaps their Flood. D:

is the Didact dead? well Yes and No

Yes: the body is dead,

No: the mind is somewhere else now.

I do think however that Elites will probably get a call to help them.
by the way did anyone notice this next epiosde they are trying to leave Requiem
