Sangheili (Elites) In New Trilogy Matchmaking (Part 1)

My apologies for my negativity of late, nor did I intend to create a world of flames. Sometimes I do get carried away with the way things are going.

For that I am sorry.

What has bugged me is just the lack of response as a whole from 343I, while they may have responded to the custom game forum, I doubt that is enough in general.
Its a bit upsetting over all.

While this is one subject that does bother me, there is more than that. We all accepted that Halo 4 is a Halo game at the core just the changes left much to be desired.

And the plans of 343I and their uncomfortable silence on pretty much everything only leaves speculations, fear, and hope.

I just hope I’m wrong about them in all my negativity, I honestly do.

We all understand. I probably wouldn’t be here if 343i wasn’t responding enough. Trust me, they are, but not towards us yet. maybe it isn’t the time for them to tell us. Yet. Hopefully sooner than later.

If they’re taking their time with other people then they are likely going to take their time with us when they reach us.

> Didn’t like what the person had to say. They’re doing absolutely nothing but flaming. I mean, yeah, that person made valid points but expressing it negatively. But it is also drawing both good and bad responses too.

I gave up looking at that thread a while ago. It just seems to be a battle between the “fanboys” of each side, discussing about topics neither knows fully about.

The thing is, the topic of the Elites can be discussed for eternity, with one side claiming that Elites are better than the opposition think, while giving evidence, while the opposition states that Elites are worse than they think, while giving evidence. This isn’t to say either person’s evidence is any less valid than the other’s. There is evidence out there for both sides, and different interpretations and opinions for this evidence. The Sangheili have been a battleground for so called “author infighting”; with people like Nylund, Buckell and Grace seeing the Sangheili as being great and powerful, in strength and spirituality (Kevin Grace to a lesser extent, but for obvious reasons). Whereas Traviss, game story writers and, to a lesser extent, Staten see them as boastful, self-righteous and overall weaker than Humans.

It seems like we (as Sangheili “fanboys”) are losing the discussion is because there are fewer of us, not due to a less valid argument. Both sides appear to have valid evidence for both arguments. I hope this all makes sense, this is how I’m looking at it anyways. :stuck_out_tongue:

EDIT: Actually, should I say this on that thread?

> I just hope I’m wrong about them in all my negativity, I honestly do.

Don’t worry, we’ve all done it. Well, to be honest, I have, quite a lot. xD

It can be a bit disheartening (if not absolutely horrible), but we just need to keep this thread going, all the way up to Halo 6 if need be.

Yeah I think so but be prepared for apathetic and ignorant users response too.

Just wait they will get to us when they can, right now their trying to fix the issues with halo 4.

Yeah Halo 4 has plenty of issues.

And wait they never did any sort of Beta for H4 did they?

Well, yeah. I deliberately missed them out to avoid misconception (i.e. it might spoil the balanced argument, with some thinking I’m saying those who are ignorant are the Spartan fans, etc.), which sometimes hovers around what I say. xD

> Yeah Halo 4 has plenty of issues.
>
> And wait they never did any sort of Beta for H4 did they?

Nope. But it was to try to build suspense and tension. I guess it was a marketing technique that didn’t work out as well as expected. It is true that many of these issues could have been fixed in a beta, but it may have decreased sales a little. I’m probably making excuses, but I think this is the case. :stuck_out_tongue:

yeah im not sure which topic it was on but someone said the Elites in Halo 4 where not of millitant. meaning if they went head to head with the arbiter they
would wouldn’t stand a chance. they’re not as skilled as the sanghilios elites either, heck their not evan from Sanghilios this fleet is not evan as strong as the original covenant. so I don’t thinkt he elites are being dumnbed down yet.

I don’t know the planet this current covenant was from but its not anghilios. and the only one among them who was aware of the war being over is Jul.

Just need a compromise to make everyone happy. Could just have people play as Elites, and those people who hate them could choose an option that would let them see another Spartan with the chosen armor config the Elite player chose for their Spartan.

BTW the Elites could be onboard Infinity to give more variability to the Spartans in training. The variability would prepare them better against the variability of the Remnant that they are facing. Then in trade for Thel’s Elites, the Infinity would have Spartans helping Thel on Sanghelios giving them an edge against the enemy by bringing Human tactics to the field. The combination of Elite/Human forces would allow Thel’s forces to become very unpredictable and in turn become a stronger force.

Not everyone is satisfied with everything that 343i throws at us. If they launched an Elite-Ops related game, not everyone will be happy and satisfied with the game. Halo 4 is a prime example. That’s why we have forums. (Apologies if this sounds like a rant I am trying not to :frowning: )

That would be a simple compromise, however, thanks to balONI, relationship between the humans and sangheili only tensed up. I don’t think that the Infinity would allow them on board of their ship… for now. Only time will guide us. I can’t even believe that the UNSC would take such an advantage, however storywise, if you think about it,all of that training would only benefit the UNSC, not them because they aren’t in any shape to support the humans ( The Arbiter I believe is trying to reconstruct Sangheilios’ civilization). One reason why story doesn’t go well with multiplayer. :frowning:

Edit: Nuts! I forgot that Tentacle had this conversation about this earlier in this thread!

I need to start going to Halopdedia more often xD!

I don’t think they can do that, the only way to solve that is giving elites their own playlist. (wich I think elites should be mixed with spartans in some way.

though I love your Idea.

From what I remember ONI is helping Telcam in secret, while the Infinity gave some help to Thel by destroying a large part of Telcam’s forces. So Telcam is on a frenemy relationship with ONI, while Thel and the Infinity are on good terms with each other. Idk if I’m missing anything, so info on anything wrong is welcome.

Yea im not sure they can either. When I thought this up I was thinking of how they put two layers on ontop of the other to display graphics in the Halo CE anniversary.

yeah but I think that only worked with the graphics.

You know, perhaps in hopeful speculation that after Spartan Ops Episode 10, that all the updates NEEDED for Halo 4 went into full effect? Just saying in a hopeful manner shrug

One can only wish…but fixing something doesn’t happen in just a quick timing and all. Who knows how long it will take to make things better…

I remember Thel takeing the roll as a deplomate for most of the halo 4 story, maybe we will see thel in halo 5 somewhere.

Actually it wouldn’t take that long for them to add Elites or at least it wouldn’t take long for some modders I know (not to be confused hackers aka cheaters) to put Elites in. I don’t know why 343 who has about 200 people cannot do what about 5 people could do in a week.

And I suppose you know how Networking codes and all that 343I works? Cause it takes longer than a week to do that actually. Not trying to be rude or anything, but let’s be realistic here about it.
