Oh, we have. Seeing as though this thread appears to be the second top thread in the entire General Discussion forum (next to the Off-topic thread), one of the largest threads in the entire forum, and is still going strong. We will get a response, this thread cannot be ignored forever, and it makes no sign of slowing or dying. We just need to be patient, and to keep going the way we are.

The Energy Stave does have power in it but we’re not sure what that power is cause all we have seen what it can do is basically to hold it in your hand and protect someone with it and stab or throw someone if they get too close to a Prophet. That’s why the Energy Sword is used more since the stave probably can’t do much. But still in game wise it should be held like a flag but not used as a weapon. However it could be used for epic assassinations like a flag XD

A flag. A Covenant flag. That is awesome and I thank you.
The Energy Stave (IIRC) was used mainly for ceremonial or decorative purposes (such as the defence of a San’shyuum Prophet, which is a mostly ceremonial job), though could be used to great effect when need be (as shown in Halo Wars; “Monsters”, though this is a rarity). Though that about using it almost flag-like sounds awesome, and would definitely be useful as both a weapon and, if a game-type allows it, as a flag itself.
Though I guess it would be somewhat redundant as a weapon due to the Energy Sword. I could really only see it as a flag-like object, unless there are some unique ideas for its use, like a throwing (spear-like) weapon or perhaps it could be used in a similar fashion to the Gravity Hammer (maybe a replacement… :D)?
Yeah perhaps you were, but I have my moments where I my pessimism is over whelming seeing the newest trends in companies these days that deal with large fanbases such as the Halo franchise.
So like I said “Hang me for my pessimism later” especially if 343i does something unexpectedly awesome.

Don’t give up hope! Yes, “hope is the first step to disappointment”, but is this not a “the glass is half empty” statement? Hope is also the first step to satisfaction (wrong word, but you know what I mean xD).
I just don’t want the thread to move back into a pessimistic mood… The “battle” still rages brothers! Halo 5 (and/or Halo 2: Anniversary) still loom.
I still have faith in 343 to do what is right; to show they listen and understand. We know they are listening, but the next step should be to respond. I, personally, think they will do something awesome. They do seem to have their ways.

and bring us back the Asetic to. I loved that armor. plus when ever I havea dream related to halo. I my Elite always has that armor.

I would love to see this put into effect. The sword as well as other weapons may identify between covenant elite remnants. This’ll be cool too because they may also have different crystal properties that function just like the needler/ rifle. My curiosity is whether or not the plasma rifle will return since the remnant tinkered with their weaponry, which may explain why it isn’t in Halo 4. They were using another weapon variant of it, and this’ll allow new or weapons from former Halo games to return.
For example:
carbine= needle rifle (?; may need balancing)
storm rifle= plasma rifle (or plasma repeater, but fires either red or green plasma bolts?)
plasma launcher= fuel rod cannon (except that the PL can fire semi-automatic and not lock; or, Reach variant, though it seems useless to have two Covie heavy weapons in the 1st place)
red sword= blue sword (sounds like star wars, or if possible, make the color available for custom games where you can hold the sword with your teams color, forced or not )
red needler??? (or a similar weapon like the spiker but does super combine damage)=needler
Concussion rifle (equally balanced with other super weapons)= a weapon related to Reach’s grenade launcher
Grenades? I think they are fine but if Arby’s elites developed a new grenade, it may act similar or identical to either the brute’s spike grenade or the firebomb.

The Storm Rifle is considered to be the successor and evolution of the original Plasma Rifle/Repeater (I still can’t understand why it is weaker though…). I would love to see it back. What I would love to see is the weapons originally designed by the Sangheili being used by the Arbiter’s faction. For example (most of these are the same as yours Dino);
This is what I would want. I have tried to bring up reasons for why two similar weapons could be included, and why each would be applicable to either faction. The traditional, Sangheili made and/or designed, weapons would be used by Thel’s faction, and those made by the Assembly Forges (etc.) at High Charity, or other weapons used by other Covenant species, would be used the Covenant remnant. I know I keep bringing the image up, but this is what I would want. Sangheili weapons/vehicles/armours reverting to traditional designs (almost Arbiter armour-like), without the influence of the San’shyuum or other Covenant designs.

Erm, this is thread for elites in matchmaking games but I’ll go along.
Yes, if 343i can manage to develop a game mode where players are prometheans (e.g. Spartan Ops versus mode) and the gameplay will be similar to L4D’s gameplay, that can be quite interesting.
