Same here. We had high hopes for 343 and they even told us no Elites in Halo 4 period so why should we believe in that link. I don’t see this happening unless 343 says so in updates.

I never trust links on sites I’ve not ben on, so whats going on anyway is someone trying to tease about the playable Elites again.

Oh yeah I almost forgot
about the Air assassinations

Elite vs Spartan

Air 1 (in the air): Elite kicks spartan up and stabs them in the back then bashing them dowm

Air 2 (from above) : Elite kicks spartan down pinning him to the ground with one foot and then
crushing his head beneath his heel.

Elite vs Elite

Air 1 (while in the air) turns elite around and stabs him in the stomeach and
pins him to the floor

Air 2: (from above) Elite cuts the other Elites throat and then kicks him aside.

As for the possibility of any friendly Sangheili showing up anytime soon or in Halo 5,
this is still up in the air and has not been answered by any 343i employees as of yet.
I’m still keeping my hopes up that 343i will follow the gameplay design of the original trilogy.

Halo: CE/4 = John and Cortana, Spartan only MM.
Halo 2/5 = Split storyline between John and Thel, Sangheili introduced into MM.
Halo 3/6 = Combined storyline, Sangheili still in MM.

I was sure I had noticed that link somewhere before, and I had thought it had been debunked. Thanks for clearing that up. :smiley:

I’ve mentioned this before, and this theory is my best hope. Halo 4 is similar to Halo: CE, the “generic space marine” game; shows who you will fight, introduces most important characters, and somewhat tells of the direction of future story. Halo 5, however, is synonymous to Halo 2; increased depth of story (with the inclusion of a second player character; Thel 'Vadam), characters who become integral to future stories, increased variety to multi-player.

As have I, twice. But we have to be patient. I haven’t seen a Q/A update since the creation of that thread (I might have missed it), so we still have a chance for our questions to be answered. So far I’ve seen around five questions pertaining to the Sangheili. If none of these are responded to, it would show significant ignorance on the part of 343, and would significantly lower my opinion of them.

We must not spam. I know it is difficult, waiting for a reply, but spamming will only hurt our plight. We must act as we are expected to - as someone stated a while back - “as a Sangheili would” (before Traviss’ books anyway).

They will respond to this thread. They cannot ignore an 11 month old thread of 306 pages, 6127 replies, and 722 thanks, it should be impossible. It has been one of the top threads in the entire Waypoint forums almost since its inception. The fact that it still has yet to have a reply astounds me, if I’m honest.

Thank you for the response. I wanted ensure if it was fake by showing it here. It was well over a year old but hearing that it is fake, I am now assured that I will take info Only from 343i. Apologies to all in here for posting the picture and hopefully we will see our beloved elites again.

To shed this awful part of this thread’s history, I think that is the path that 343i is taking with the story (you beat there, Tentacletornado :P).

Spamming would bring us more harm than good. I believe that they will meet with us but right now they have larger issues with the MP and Custom games, not that Elites doesn’t matter. It means a whole lot to many people (e.g. us and other communities) but I’d rather see them fix the game one problem at a time than do a half-Yoink!- job fixing everything. We will be heard, they will not forget, and we must be patient. Some of us here are boiling red over this but we Sangheilis got each others back. If we can compromise this situation together, not as a group but as a member of the community, using constructive criticism and not attack the problem, we can make it. Blarg out!

I completely agree that the Elites should be added to Halo once more!

How could they make a concious decision to limit MM to just Humans?

Even if not Elites, then at least Forerunner knights or something.

I say the more the merrier Brutes, Elites, Jackals, knights - hell - even Grunts with Power Weapon starts.

Give some depth and variety back!

don’t worry with Halo 5 they will focus on Elites in Halo 5 Im sure.

now is their any other Ideas to what we can do for Elites. heck why not give them a customization like the Halo 4 system, you have multiple ranking system. still I’d like see elites become playable again.

Ranger is awful. To be honest, all of it is awful. Though I guess it can be forgiven, due to them being under the ownership of the remnant. I just hope it doesn’t turn out Thel’s faction is using the same armours.

I guess I’ll list the ideas we have so far (And how likely they are):

Canon
[/li]- Usze 'Taham and a Sangheili contingent. (Unlikely)

  • Thel-allied Sangheili research team stumbling across Requiem and Infinity. (Very unlikely)
  • Having Sangheili modelled over Spartan-IVs in a similar fashion to “hologram”. (almost certainly possible)
  • Having simulated Sangheili used in a similar fashion to vehicles (no Spartan needed). (as above, though somewhat less likely)
  • Any more that I’ve forgotten?
  • Game-play*
  • Similar size/posture as Halo 2 Sangheili (straighter posture, smaller frame, similar hitboxes).
  • Same as Halo: Reach, but shrunk to S-IV size. (for sims)
  • Simply shrink the Halo 4 Sangheili model.
  • Go back to Halo 2/3 type shielding/health/speed (i.e. both S-IVs and Elites have the same)
  • I’m sure there were more. What did I miss?

Though to be honest, I don’t much care for the “they were unbalanced” factor being thrown around. It isn’t important, really. This “Multi-player canon” was, according to 343, the most important factor in their removal, not balance. Balance only matters if we are wanting Sangheili back into full multi-player, which isn’t our priority. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well it seems Gek was killed in a fashion that went completely against my hopes. That’s a real step backwards. How can we feel sympathetic when he’s dead? I haven’t played it yet, just saw a recent edit on Halopedia. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was ignorant and I joined this forum exactly a week after 4 was launched. I also looked at it and it was nearly a year old so I found out it was fake news. I made my condolences to everyone in this thread already. But I know now and I feel much better now that there are folks here who knew about it and I didn’t spread a gruesome rumor.

BEWARE! THE SPACE MOP!

I need to play the episode. From what I have seen, I will not like it. Gek’s strive for revenge could have been a great story-arc. But no. He’s a Sangheili. He’s a mindless animal. And so, he deserves to simply die. It sickens me, if I’m honest.

He may be a “terrorist”, with a hatred for Humans, but does this mean he should be simply killed off? His story ended in such a dreadful way? The thing that also sickens me, is that those who are less sympathetic than me will probably be happy for his death, probably seeing his death as comical. Is this just? Is this what we should expect from the “heirs of the Mantle”? Is this what we should expect now from later episodes/story material? Is this what we should expect from the writers? Every alien with a name killed? If Jul is killed, I have little hope for our plight; he is the last Sangheili living with a name in Halo 4. If he is killed, what then?

As you may notice, this angers me. Though for reasons that may or may not be right. I do have a knack for being sympathetic to those I am not supposed to. :stuck_out_tongue:
