Not really much we can do really…still has been bugging me about the thought of Machinima people not playing as a Variety of things to make Machinima’s more interesting to watch.

I was never a huge Elite fan, never really cared for playing as one but you know what? I miss coming across them. It made the multiplayer feel a bit more diverse.

No. Though I think that this is very important. 343 has been listening, that much was never in doubt, but now it seems they are responding. Though I fear that this is only because that thread was at the boiling point, and, unfortunately, the custom-games issue was making a lot more people unhappy than a loss of Sangheili. Sorry to be the bearer of that news.

Sorry, again, but I wouldn’t have thought so. Our problem simply isn’t big enough to get a reply by simply conversing here.

Of course not! I’ve stayed on this thread for quite a while now, and I’m not about to give up on it now. And that is what I meant; “what else to do though”.
I guess that while the custom-games community got their response through pure attack on 343, we may do the same with longevity. I hadn’t thought of that.
Outlasting and being perhaps the most zealous Sangheili in the universe would help. Though I am unsure how big our numbers are to the point that we would have our “Boiling Point.”
The customs game thread was just as worthy in my opinion of 343’s attention. Its no secret the custom games community has suffered as many hardships as we have in this new trilogy. Like the Race guys, Race is just simply not possible anymore.
But the fact that 343 responded in at least that thread has given me some hope. Perhaps BS Angel will make her rounds here too.
After all we deserve the recognition. I have never seen such a passionate community gather together and keep a thread such as this alive. We should all be proud of our self’s.

I THINK the elites are not playable in mp because of 343i’s obsession with making mp canon. you’re basically roleplaying a spartan inboard the Infinity, right? why would you choose to be an alien when you’re supposed to train AGAINST them?

if they decide to not make the mp canon again, we might see elites in mp again.

It may be possible with the multi-player canon, I’m just going to quote my post from another thread;

Valid points above this, with this whole Canonical Multiplayer deal going on it doesn’t really seem…canon at all.
Spartan Ops well if that’s canon that would make sense, it is simply continuing the story of Halo 4 which could easily be accepted.
But competitive MP as canon I’m finding a hard time grasping that alone. If it was to be canon why the Flood, its not like Spartan IVs are gonna face a threat that was supposedly EXTINCT due to the Chief sending them back to whatever gods forsaken whole they crawled out from.
Unless 343 wants to bring them back…which I wonder if Bungie members who had moved on to work on Destiny to go to 343i’s HQ with Pitchforks and Torches.
But in all sense of this “Canon” then I suppose Sangheili sims inside this spacial time bubble holoprojector matrix thing would make sense because Spartans now have to deal with the chaos of a new post war galaxy where the lines of Friend or Foe are blurred. The Sangheili next to you could be the guy who saves your BLAM while that Marine conveniently with a rocket launcher is about to betray your sorry BLAM for a Renewed Insurrection.
The UNSC nearly fell into civil war before the Covenant came about, and with nothing to unify the outer colonies…what’s gonna stop the rebels this time?
So any help would be needed, and the lines of black are blurred into grey, what was foe is now friend, and your old friends might have a dagger to your back.
Honestly if the overall arc of the Reclaimer Trilogy is to have Didact or whoever the actual villain is (they ‘killed’ him off too early) in which he would “LET THE GALAXY BURN” (and let the heaven’s bleed) to destroy humanity as a whole…then it would all be about execution of whatever is planned.
After all humanity alone cannot stand by itself…they’re gonna need help whether they like it, or not.
If Elites were to come back, I would love for there to be a limited edition Arbiter Armor. As long as its impossible to change his armor color, I would love it. Here is to Halo 5 with Elites!
We should have some kind of Elite-related game, or something. Just so we’re not sitting around and thinking to ourselves, “Gee, it’d sure be swell to have BS Angel give us a visit…”
